Pregnant and trapped in an elevator.
We have been using Melia Düsseldorf for many years. Between 50 - 100 room days bought during the past years.
We never had any need for special service and the hotel has been ok and a good location for us.
But when you need help that’s when you know how the hotel is running.
One of our employees was Saturday evening trapped alone in the elevator and she was 7 months pregnant. Of course she was in panic.
The only help from the staff was to call a technician, who didn’t answer the phone..
Several guests at the hotel tried to help and only when we ourself tried to call the firedepartment the hotel reacted.
After 40 minutes trapped the fire people and ambulance arrived and 5 minutes later the pregnant was out of the elevator, with an experience she will never forget.
She was trapped in 45 minutes.
We were told we would be contacted by the hotel manangement — but we heard nothing.
I think we would never sleep at Melia Düsseldorf again.
