Fantastic Location

I love to travel and a plain basic clean room is all I want as I'm never in the room .....
However these Apartments are BASIC, on 1st look the room looks fine though you do have to pay for air con and and have to request hairdryer, kettle (which had to be disinfected). They only supply 2 bath towels every 2/3 days, no hand towels.... bed gets a new sheet if you're lucky every 2/3 days. The 2 girls who serve the breakfast are like 2 bouncers watching every bite you put on your plate and the food ain't great, very rude girls they also "clean" the rooms and never broke a smile once. The courtesy shower room was dirty with the last guests dirty towels in them.

On a happier note the Reception Staff, Security Guard and Bar Guy were all very friendly and helpful they actually made the apartments bearable and fun.

Location is perfect ! on the beach, the sea front has an array of beautiful restaurants, from dusk to dawn food Amazing throughout the day and into the night.

If you wanna be a squatter for a week this is your place :-)

Rooms very basic and tatty, however, they were cleaned every day. Quite run down hotel but in a good location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The place is in need of a refurb. Breakfast was awful but snacks round pool were nice. Would not stay here again. Surprised Jet 2 accomodate people here.

We normally stay in Kalamaki but left it too late to get booked. We saw this hotel on Jet2 and could not resist the price of £334 each for 9 nights B&B including flights and transfers. When we arrived at noon we had a walk around the hotel and thought 'what have we done'. Some of the rooms are dungeon like, below floor level, with no views. My wife is a bit pushey and I always leave it to her to find the room she wants ( happy wife, happy life). She spoke to Jamie who runs the hotel and we were given room 201 which was a great location with a balcony overlooking the road and hotel opposite but we could also sit outside our front door and overlook the pool. The rooms were a bit dated and not what I would call spotless, towels were grubby and sheets weren't the whitest. The shower was tiny with no shower curtain and you had to hand hold the shower head so the bathroom always got flooded. Breakfast was adequate and the location of the hotel was excellent, just 2 minutes from the beach and 10 mins from the strip. Staying in September there were more older couples but I can imagine it gets too lively in July /August. All in all we had a lovely holiday for the price we paid and if we were to pay a similar price and we had room 201 we think we would return.

I have no complaints with this hotel, despite some very negative reviews! I stayed here for a week with my dad and all of our basic needs were met. Yes the rooms are basic, we expected this for the cheap deal we had received. The shower was a downfall considering I had to hold it up in order to wash my hair and it did splash all over the bedroom. However the rooms were cleaned every day and 100% felt safe the whole time. The rooms were very hot but the option for air con was available. Breakfast did the job of filing us up with a range of hot and cold items, again no complaints. The location was perfect! With just a few steps to the beach and a 5-10 minute walk to the strip and other eateries and bars. Music was played throughout the day and was always turned off at 12 for those wanting an earlier night.

Shocking !! Beware !! Please do not let your Daughters visit this shocking hotel. Staff rifling through the rooms when not there, and then denying it. I’m writing this review for a friend. 2 young women arrived at the hotel, checked in. Left for a night out, came back and the room door was open, complained at reception to be accused of telling lies, wouldn’t allow the woman to view the CCTV, contacted JET2 and asked to be moved, as they didn’t feel safe. JET2 replied saying could take up to 3 days to be moved. Hotel offered a safety deposit box, which wasn’t even bolted anywhere, just a small loose box, the ladies declined the offer, and so the women ended up carrying their passports and valuables with them at all times. After another day out, the came back opened the room door and the cases had been rummaged through, the balcony doors open, footprints on the bed, blood on the bed sheets, immediately went to reception and reported what they had seen, the receptionist, said no one had been in the room, only he and the security man had a master key, he’d apparently looked at the CCTV again, and didn’t see anything untoward. The security man was very rude, obnoxious, and intimidating, very in your face. Apparently JET2 had rang to question the receptionist which the women were accused of lying again. As you can imagine, very upset they rang home, and were immediately booked into an airb&b. The woman instantly packed up and asked to check out, the receptionist was asked if he could call a taxi and he was very aggressive asking for the address where they were going to, as you can imagine the women wasn’t wanting to divulge any information, so just left.

Ok, I read some pretty bad reviews about this place prior to going, and the panic set in. I’ll keep this brief. The location is superb for the beach, beach bars/restaurants, and close to the strip. The rooms are very basic, but I don’t mind rough and ready, as long as I have a decent bed and shower, but if you’re fussy, defiantly won’t be for you. I was at the beach morning to evening, so hotels and the pool area aren’t for me, although the pool area looked ok, nothing fancy, but plenty of beds. I liked most of the staff. But Jason the reception was especially nice, the girls that done the breakfast and cleaned the rooms were nasty and rude. We only went to breakfast twice, again basic and plain, and filled a hole, again I’m not a fussy person. Crowd wise, it was mixed aged, and not overly noisy, but we were there near end of season, so wasn’t as many young people. Would I stay here again? I would yes, if the price was decent and out of peak season

We arrived as a party of 7 lads In two rooms and told we couldn't check in till 330pm at the earliest which was disappointing so had to leave the cases in the hotel hallway 4 of us in a room so was tightly packed but adequate balcony with a good view to sit on The bathroom was terrible with a very old slow running tap in the sink and a shower which we all described as the worst we have ever set foot it due to water gushing out all over the floor due to a tiny shower curtain which wasnt good enough by any stretch The breakfast which I only had once was basic to say the least One tiny toaster for the whole place 🤣 But what really got me about this place was all the extra charges for this and that which the worst example was the air con which they wanted a lot of money for and the rooms were stifling This hotel is in a good location and surrounded by some top class hotels and should up there game to match them One irrattating thing was the music around the pool The volume was incredible considering no one was about One tip book the Canadian hotel looked much better

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! ‼️HOTEL HAS BED BUGS‼️ •BLOCKED SEWERS WHICH MAKE HOTEL SMELL •OVERPRICED AIRCON €10 PER DAY •ROOMS DIRTY •MAIDS CANT CLEAN THE ROOMS SO ME AS A GUEST HAD TO DO IT FOR THEM ~CONS First off when we entered the hotel it was filled with teenagers which we didn’t have a problem with because we knew it was mostly for teenagers however as we got to the reception desk they made us wear these wrist bands that we couldn’t take off just so that if you leave the hotel and want to come back late at night you can’t enter without the wristband. That is a first red flag in itself as it made me think what type of people have entered the hotel for them to now have a policy for their guests to have to wear wristbands?? This was a family trip with my 3 children and I automatically felt unsafe. IMMEDIATELY you have to pay 10€ for the room tax?? Secondly, THE ROOMSS!! Do not get me started on the rooms they smelt like sewer across the whole hotel in order to have air con in that little hotel you have to PAY €70 FOR 7 DAYS! we could not pay that amount of money for a room that smelt, the bed sheets had stains, the towels has stains, the shower WAS TINY and didn’t shut so when we showered water SPLASHED EVERYWHERE the sink smelt so bad. because it was four of us staying in one room they gave us a four person room, we were given 2 single beds and a double bed. One of the single beds were so springy and paper thin so we all had to squeeze onto 1 single bed and a double bed because no one could sleep on the other single bed. THE BEDS HAD BED BUGS BECAUSE MY SON KEPT GETTING BITTEN AND WHEN WE TOOK THE COVER OFF THE MATTRESS WE FOUND SMALL BLACK BUGS!!! The balcony was okay VERY VERY SMALL but it was mediocre. The fan outside was blowing out hot air I’ve got no idea as to why that is. Another thing about the room is that they play music by the pool even when no one is there we personally didn’t have a problem with the music because we could just shut the door and we couldn’t hear anything but if you want a holiday for a nice peaceful time SAVE UR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Our hotel room was filthy and I’m not staying in a filthy room so when we asked how often they clean the rooms they said EVERY THURSDAY. ONCE A WEEK THEY CLEAN THE ROOMS! but I wasn’t having ANY of it so I complained several times. The first time was to the security guard who did nothing the second time was to jet2 who said they would get people to thoroughly deep clean the room however when we came back from the beach the bathroom still smelt like sewer. even the jet2 woman could see everything wrong with the hotel when we asked if we could be moved they said they would move us to the best rooms in the hotel the next day we were like okay that’s fine but still had to sleep paranoid of the bed bugs, dirty stained bed sheets and the safety of the hotel in the current room we were in. The next day came along and the sink now wouldn’t drain. It took 10 MINUTES for the sink to drain

Had a great stay at playa bay, the rooms weren’t great but the service at the bar was amazing, a special shout-out to the blonde girl on the bar I think her name was Roxy, extremely friendly and entertaining and definitely made our holiday. The drinks were great and very good priced.

Hotel unsuitable for older couples as it’s more for younger individuals which is great …. But we booked unknowingly and was told it was our fault! Reception staff very intimidating and threatened us for having a conversation with another family that had fell through the net !! Said he would have us stopped at airport just for communicating with each other as we were not happy but he clearly has something to hide ?? Never felt soo unsafe in my life ! Wouldn’t let my teenage child go there EVER!! It’s smelly dirty and hostile
