2 star hotels in Crete

Spent 10 excellent days in this Aparthotel with the family this summer! Clean rooms, very friendly owner and personnel, no extra charges beyond usual fee for air-conditioning and safe deposit box. There is a small pool, though we were not using it. The beach is just 1 minute away. Small grocery store is nearby - everything you ever need during vacation is in close proximity area.

Just returned from a lovely 10 night stay at lambrinos suites, having never been to that part of Crete was pleasantly surprised lovely clean apartments 2 mins to main strip and 5 mins to beach.Perfect location and lovely friendly owner, first pool I have been in in 9 years as they are often to cold but Lambrinos pool although small was really nice to get in to. Very nice accommodation, cleaned daily, very quiet. All the staff very friendly especially the cleaner Maria and the gardener. Ideally situated only 5 minutes to the beach and 5 minutes to the many bars and restaurants. Great value, just to add the air conditioning is extra €8 per day but much needed at this time of year.

It was just next to the beach. Very close to the town. Bus station 1min.walk. Fantastic apartment for the price. The reception lady Konstantina Exelent,helpful,sweet,very friendly,all in superlative!!!! We had a nice, clean room, with really little but clean bathroom and balcony. The beach is really close, so are shops and supermarkets. Owner and his daughter were really nice and helpful. Our room was situated to the main street so there was a lot of noice coming from it.

Excellent apartments, depending on their location within the hotel. Large rooms with convenient layouts. Self-catering amenities are available. There's a large supermarket just across the street, and the sea is a 7-10-minute walk away with good access. There's another inexpensive supermarket on the way to the beach. The sea is very warm and clear.

Small, almost cozy, with large rooms and huge balconies. The linens are definitely very old—that's a downside. There are shops and stalls nearby, and a fishmonger nearby (they have the freshest seafood). In our ecperience these self catering appartments are some of the cleanest and best managed appartments you can find in Crete! We have visited many times.

Great apartments with a nice pool, both of which are kept spotlessly clean. Our apartment had a lovely view of the sea and the surrounding hills. There are couple of good restaurants and a good bar nearby and it's only about a 20 minute walk to Agios Nikolaos. The owners, Katerina and Litsa, are always friendly and helpful.

Family run Apartments, most of them with ocean view, Katherinas tips and story's are very special and interesting. Felt like family from the beginning. Strongly recommended when you want to get to know the real Crete and not the world of the big hotels. We will come again, for sure.

We stayed at Dimitra apartments for 4 nights. Everything was clean and apartment is ok for the stay. Nice beach is 3 minutes walk and good taverns and supermarkets are also near by. There is a "bar" at the pool area where you can buy simple breakfast (we didn't tried it) and cold drinks. Hosts were kind and helpful. Appartment is cleaned every day by hosts. Good value for the price!

Enjoyed the stay at the hostel. The people (Volunteers) at the desk were very helpful. The rooftop is a good place to hangout and meet fellow travellers. Location is in close proximity to main shopping areas of Heraklion. Also has a 24 hour convenience store within a 5 minute walk. Overall, it was a very good experience.

First time staying in a hostel and my experience for the weekend was amazing! Everything's really clean, tidy, the staff is really polite and helpful and I had the pleasure of having really good roommates and neighbors! It's close to the city centre so I definitely recommend it!

Excellent location!!! Away from the busier and touristy city. Straight walk down the street to the beach/ water. Quieter area that is still walking distance to everything. I like the vibe of this place, dont really like staying in hostels but in this one even for several days, went there several times over the last few years. Its located in really nice neighborhood, not far from city center and girls who work there are always polite and ready to help, they can give you tips about everything regarding local attractions. Its always fairly clean as well.

We booked a double standard room with was stunning! The interior decoration as well as the exterior, we’re just beautiful! The room was really clean! I was expecting a hostel but it’s not a hostel! It’s a really nice boutique hotel with minimal decoration and amazing amenities! I’d definitely visit it again! Thank you

The hotel is super nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. Only downside of the stay were the bathrooms, they are not divided by gender and the showers are way too little considering you must take everything with you. But that would be the only thing to improve, the hotel is beautiful and you will have for sure a great time here!

Great cozy hostel, 10min walk from the city centre. Newly refurbished, clean and super friendly staff. And also cheap - what else?:)
