+ location (very close to the beach and all stores, restaurants)
+ quite cheap
+ service is very friendly and helpful
+ cheap cocktails and swimming pool is not usually busy
+ 7€ breakfast at another hotel, the same owner, but it's located elsewhere, very good breakfast though (but they don't have air conditioner there, so prepare for the worst).
+ clean rooms

- you have to pay for air conditioner, which doesn't work properly because it's a quite old model and is very noisy. Also it is located in the kitchen/living room, so it doesn't really help at all. I don't think you should charge for something that doesn't work properly. I had to use earplugs during our stay to get some sleep because of the noisy air conditioner. So you pay 10€/night for something that doesn't work and sleep in a sauna. Arguing with staff is useless, because they don't seem to understand the root of the problem.
- There is a club next to the apartments and the music is very loud. Once again, a good thing to have earplugs with you. But I can imagine some people are more sensitive to noise than me. Just a warning.
- Terrible bed and pillows.
- Wi-Fi didn't work properly at all times

Also they want you to do the dishes before you check out, but do not provide anything to wash them with, except a sponge and hot water. A dishwasher would be good.

Our stay at the Daisy Apartment Hotel in Rethymno can only be described as a horrifying ordeal that no guest should ever have to endure. Prepare yourself for a nightmarish journey through incompetence, deception, and a total disregard for guest well-being. We arrived at the hotel around 5:00 PM, and from the very beginning, it was evident that our experience would be nothing short of a disaster. To start, we were intentionally assigned a smoking room, a detail conveniently omitted during booking. The receptionist, Stavroula, had the audacity to demand full payment upfront, even before we had a chance to see our room. It struck me as highly unusual, given my extensive experience in the hotel industry, where payment is typically processed as either pre-payment or after check-out. As we entered the room, the puzzle pieces fell into place. The room was a repulsive, nightmarish spectacle of filth. Strands of hair, varying in length and color, adorned every possible surface - the bed, bedsheets, pillows, towels, and the very floor we had to tread upon. An appalling 3 out of 4 towels were visibly soiled, bearing disgusting stains, including bloodstains. The room reeked of cigarette smoke, but not just any smoke – it was the unmistakable stench of old, cold, and stale cigarette smoke, as if generations of chain-smokers had made this room their haven. We promptly went to the reception to complain about the abhorrent cleanliness and the overwhelming smell. Stavroula assured us that she would contact the manager and promptly left us hanging in the room for an excruciating 45 minutes without a single update or phone call, despite the presence of a phone in the room. Frustrated and desperate for answers, we headed back to the reception to inquire about the status. It was then that we were told the cleaning lady was "on the way." An entire hour passed before the cleaning lady reluctantly arrived around 6:00 PM. Throughout her reluctant efforts to clean the room, she muttered explicit swear words and other curses, as overheard by my partner. Despite the cleaning attempt, the room still reeked of cigarette smoke. The only remedy offered was a feeble attempt involving toilet spray, which did nothing to alleviate the suffocating odor. To add insult to injury, we discovered more stray hairs on the floor. Fed up with the appalling conditions, we returned to the reception once again to voice our dissatisfaction. Shockingly, the receptionist flat-out refused to change our room, citing that all rooms in our category were occupied. In a display of sheer audacity, they proposed an "upgrade" to a "higher category room" for an exorbitant additional cost of 100€. This was utterly unreasonable for a single night, especially considering that the other room would not have been sold for the night anyways. Our sole desire was a decent night's sleep in a clean, smoke-free environment, but the receptionist made it clear that they had no intention of offering such basic

Our stay at Daisy Apartment Hotel in Rethymno was a horrifying experience marked by deception and neglect. We were assigned a smoking room, and the receptionist demanded full payment upfront. The room was disgustingly dirty, reeking of cigarette smoke, and the cleaning attempts were inadequate.

Despite our complaints, we were denied a room change and offered an expensive upgrade. The staff, including the manager Noula (probably gave us a fake name) and receptionist Stavroula (whose real name was Xrista), accused us of lying and refused a refund.

The room lacked any non-smoking indications, and the ashtray suggested smoking was allowed. We were met with audacity when we expressed our dissatisfaction.

Our health concerns were ignored, and our clothes now carry the stench of smoke. To top it off, my partner developed rashes, indicating a severe lapse in responsibility.

Neither Stavroula nor Noula offered an apology. During checkout, we learned they had provided fake names. The truth only emerged through the kind receptionist Konstantina.

In conclusion, avoid Daisy Apartment Hotel in Rethymno at all costs. It's a disgraceful establishment with deplorable conditions and uncompassionate staff. Your well-being deserves better.

Very bad experience because of wanting to rip me off by charging me extra 9 euro per day for the air-conditioning which is part of the facilities and was not mentioned on the bookings dot com website when i booked the room if i knew that i would have booked another hotel, and was not given a receipt when i paid 12 euro for 8 days to use the safe box in the room, this hotel must be reported to the authorities for ripping off the public. Asked for a fan for the room they said said no fans available i must pay 9 euro extra per day for air-conditioning, the temperature is like 35c the attitude is like take it or leave it so i didn't take it. Just want to let the public know so be aware
