Crete has two main cities: Heraklion, the cradle of Western civilization, and Chania (also known as Chania), a city repeatedly invaded by other empires. Since our next destination was Santorini by boat from Crete, which could only depart from Heraklion port, we opted to take a boat from Athens to Chania first, and then a bus from Chania to Heraklion.

Considering we'd be traveling by bus for the next two days, we chose this hotel close to the Chania Bus Station, less than 400 meters away. The facilities were quite good, and any minor issues we raised were quickly resolved. The front desk staff were also very helpful in providing information about various places in the surrounding area. Chania is small; many places, such as the Venice Lighthouse and the old town next to it, are within a 20-minute walk.

The hotel has a rather unique feature: from the north-facing balcony, you can see the town's cemetery next door, and next to the cemetery are a basketball court and other residential buildings. Locals didn't find it particularly unusual, but tourists like us found it quite strange.

Overall, it's good value for money and I recommend it.

A very nice stay
The reception was always helpful, when we needed any kind of advice. The room was perfect, and the cleaning was also spot on - with sweet and kind cleaning staff. The pool area and sun availability seems small when looking at the pictures, but in real life it was satisfying, and we didn't go a day without both options. We stayed there for 14 days, and was close to the city and harbor - the beach was a walk away, but alot of people there so sunbathing was done at the hotel.

This was a great place to stay! Dimitris and the rest of the staff were super accommodating and very helpful. They helped us organize rides to and from places in Chania when it wasn’t walkable and were very clear with their communication. Some of the nicest people to have as hotel staff. I highly recommend this place. It’s within walking distance to the old town, the beach, and restaurants in the city center. A great experience overall!

Absolutely loved my stay here. Room was perfect for one person. Great service from reception. Nothing was any trouble. Airport transfers perfect and the lady who does them was absolutely brilliant and very knowledgeable. Room was serviced everyday. Walk into the Venetian old port was about 10mins with loads of restaurants and shops. Walk to the beach was about 10/15mins depending on your walk speed. Christina beach was perfect for a day at the beach. Would highly recommend the hotel if you’re happy being away from the beach or town and don’t mind short walks. Bus station is 5 minutes walk away for going further if you wish too. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you again for a wonderful trip
