The beach is amazing, the pools are very nice and clean, the staff and dining was great, we had an amazing time and we’re very happy that we booked this resort for two weeks!

The hotel staff is genuinely exceptional. The only issue I encountered was the absence of a quick dial option on the phone for direct access to the hotel's reception or service

I recommend using The Spa. I had a deep tissue massage. Jessie was very good and very professional.

Great food, friendly staff, drinks are amazing and the bar staff takes their time to prepare them, beautiful beach and the spa was very relaxing. My daughter and I enjoyed our facials!

You went above and beyond to ensure that every meal and every visit to the restaurant was perfect, and we will always remember your warm hospitality. Chef Giorgos, your culinary creations were absolutely exceptional

Myself and my partner have really enjoyed our stay at Lyttos Mare. The service from bar staff has been spot on. The entertainment has been amazing. in particular John who is a very warm and funny character

Our second stay this year! Amazing hotel. I'd accidently booked the wrong room type, and we were upgraded for free. Giannis provided excellent service around the pool

The food at the restaurants are amazing, we can't decide which one is the best! Really enjoyed the pan asian breakfast. Loved the creperie, open all day

Service throughout the hotel was amazing and cannot fault at all. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Beach is a pebble/rocky beach, this didnt bother us as we were happy by the pool

There's an astro pitch, tennis courts and arcades and pool table for other entertainment. Unfortunately, didn't get an opportunity to try the sushi bar but it looked really nice

The Italian restaurant was our favourite. Roula and Spyros were amazing waiters and recommended the best food! Toto and Ana kept the kids and adults entertained

Room cleaned (very quickly) every day, main toiletries like shampoo and soap provided. The animation team was great during the day and kids' disco night were awesome. NEGATIVES: Paid WiFi in the rooms

It’s very unusual to have this paid, while other hotels nearby offer it for free. Ice-cold swimming pools at this time. Very few people dared to bathe there. The sea was warmer than the pool

The food was good, lots of fresh fruits and salads, perfect for the hot weather

Solid 4* hotel, but not 5* and here few notes: Positive moments: Lots of greenery with plants and trees everywhere, the feeling is like in private mini tropical garden

The complex is beautiful and the room was clean and tidy. The staff are polite and extremely helpful. A vast selection of food is available and it's delicious, the food was the best I've had in a long while

The food was really high quality every meal. Staff were friendly and helpful and the pools are nice, especially the one where you can sit at the bar inside the pool

What really stood out was the incredible service from all the staff. They were so kind and helpful throughout our stay. The pool food staff were particularly great, handling a special food order for us with a smile

We had a wonderful time at the resort. We enjoyed the spa. The food was very good. We enjoyed the community cats also. We will be back. Nick was a very big help to us throughout our entire stay.

Food, staff, rooms and all facilities are great. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. The swim-up was fantastic, quiet most of the time and waiter service to pool side was unexpected but appreciated

Private beach areas are lovely too. The water park for the granddaughter is great too

We stayed for a week in a suite with a private pool and loved it. The staff were excellent to a fault, especially the bar staff - couldn't rate them high enough

One thing I will mention is that there are planes flying low overhead every hour so more during the day so if you’re looking for a super peaceful escape this may not be the one

So generous with free wine tasting, cocktail and cooking class experience, very close to the beach and restaurants and surrounding villages - plenty to do ! The staff were accommodating and willing to please answering any questions or requests

The staff were lovely and hard working, the hotel was very clean and smelt really nice. The location is perfect, you are a 2 minute walk to the nearest beach and there are lots of bars/restaurants and shops nearby

My stay at the hotel 06-11 October was perfect. The workers of the hotel were hospitable and pleasant. Rooms are always tidy and good equipped. I had nice view on the street and the beach

The cool elevator had Greek music while you are inside! Pleasant relaxing smell in the lobby lounge made me feel like home and always welcomed. To the beach was 3 minutes walk

Perfect location! Close lots of local tavernas and bars, car rentals and excursions… My holiday couldn’t be better! Thanks to Albatros! Also highly recommend to visit spa. Was there twice for sauna and massage

A friendly resort that felt like coming home. I loved the blend of classical and modern with traditional Greek influences and food, a unique combination which makes it a place you want to come back to again

We arrived at the hotel and immediately they upgraded our room to a room with a private pool (very nice, but unfortunately not usable). Everything was perfect and appreciated

Very nice place for families and very nice staff. Walters at the resturant very kind. The cook was very nice also. Great menu and dishes.

On the other hand, in the two restaurants, unfortunately, the food is not made on site, Just heats it up and serves it

The food in the main room is excellent and with a wide selection, the chef is always there with a big smile

Special mention to Michaela who welcomed us at our arrival, showed us all the place and gave us some tips; to Leandros who took care of our concerns, to Valentina and Claudia in the swimming pool and Eleni, Chara and Eva for the special evenings at the Buddha Bar, great team! Hopefully we will come back

The best and most luxurious hotel we’ve ever stayed at! We truly felt at home. everyone was so kind and dedicated. The food was of exceptional quality, and the entire experience was amazing

The rooms are spotless but more attention to refilling teas coffee and replacement of towels would be better than the little treats left

The hotel is great, but the service is amazing. The water are good and the beach is great, food is good but use the menu instead of the open buffet, it had great things like pesto pasta and grilled meat

A very smart hotel with excellent sea views and a lovely main swimming pool. You can have room with its own jacuzzi and garden, or one with a plunge pool or a share infinity pool

The bath by the bed and open plan wash basin is a bit odd, and if you do feel like having a bath, it would take an absolute age to fill

3 pools and less than 100 sunbeds for the whole of the hotel which supposably has well over 100 rooms, only 1 bottle of water on arrival rest of the time buy your own, the hotel water tasted as though it had purification tablets in, food very hit and miss one night my sister and myself had fish in a sauce, both of which were not cooked in the middle, taken away by a very reluctant manager

Friendly staff, rooms very were clean, service very good. On departure day they allowed us to keep the room with no extra charge. They have bar at the beach which you can use in your inclusive, welcoming

Certainly not a 5* hotel, the bar at the hotel was round the pool, so sat on plastic chairs at night, staff working there not very friendly, the beach bar was fabulous and Mike is a lovely chap who certainly knows how to run a bar and make good drinks

Been here one day good service,nice food ,in central location 100 yards from the beach can't complain for the price we have paid

It was very quiet when we went, so no waiting for food/ drinks at any point. Know Bar by the beach was great. Location is good; short drive from airport - 25 mins, just a one minute walk down to the beach

Beach was good - a short sand bit, but then it was like a huge stone slab - great for snorkelling. Plenty of shops/ restaurants within a short walk

One particular evening, his favourite dessert was not on display and the chef asked if everything was alright, when I joked there was no jelly, he appeared with a few jellies for him

Outstanding customer service! Waiters and cleaners were also extremely attentive, the waiters joked with our daughter calling her 'Max' as she looked liked Max from Stranger Things and the cleaners always left our rooms spotless, leaving sweets on the pillow or displaying our pjs on the bed

They then went out of their way to ensure their was lots of variety of foods for him to choose from each always checking in with us each evening to ensure he was ok

Beach was small with paid sun-beds and umbrella, but last day we just stayed around pool where beds are free and went for few dips in the see from there. Inflatables are free to use and stacked by the pool

Victoria was fantastic, I've had many massages and she was by far the best

Cannot fault the quality of food and how it is cooked. Food is five stars! Staff Are friendly and work hard in the restaurant. Cleaners do a great great job. Change towels everyday, mop the floor and empty bins

We recently stayed for 14 nights and really liked the hotel. We didn't use the beach or pool so cannot comment on that

We had room 402 which was lovely and spacious for the two of us with a nice size balcony and bathroom. There is a safe at a cost of €4 a day and AC which was free

Brilliant hotel, stayed here 7 nights and no complaints whatsoever! Brilliant view, room was clean and staff were very friendly. Great location with lots of shops around within walking distance

Thank you for giving us such a big room with a balcony. We had a late flight home and the hotel still let us to use the pool and a shower room after we have checked out

Rarely writing reviews but this hotel is the best! I can tell, od course, just from my experience! Best hotel ever! It justifies every single money spent on it

Also the kettle was not safe! You could not even touch it after it boiled, whatever the insulation was I had to use a towel to pick the kettle up! Also I would have liked a duvet just as an option

Check-in is via an app which is just stupid when you’ve provided 90% of the detail in advance for example. Rooms are quite good but dated somewhat and in need of new beds (a little on the uncomfortable side)

• I stayed half board during my stay and honestly the selection of food was wonderful and I liked that they provided traditional Greek food which was great to try

The lady who checked me in was super friendly and l liked that they actually took you to your room when you first check in that is a nice touch

Also just want to give a shout out to Julia the guest relations manager, such a lovely lady and very helpful when booking my excursion to Santorini

• Location is fantastic, you are literally a stone throw away from the beach and if you take a few minutes walk in the opposite direction you have no end of bars, restaurants and shops

It was amazing, from the beginning we arrived until we checked out, everything was beyond exceptional. The staff was always very polite. The hotel is very modern and has everything you need for a good stay.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient, close to Heraklion city and near many other places to visit

I have stayed at multiple JW and Ritz hotels and the service here is at that level if not better. The hotel itself is immaculate. Our room was always super clean with fresh towels and sheets

Breads and pastries were to die for. Good location right in the middle of Hersonissos and just a few feet from the beach

I have read that some people were disappointed that the pool area was small, although to us it was perfect and you are only yards from the beach

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days and had amazing service throughout! They allowed early and late checkout for us as we had difficult flight times, called us multiple taxis to get around the beautiful island and were just helpful start to finish

The breakfast was perfect, so much choice! The hotel is well located with a huge amount of restaurants and bars on the doorstep, and lovely places like Koutouloufari and Stalis just a short distance away

There are also rental car agencies near the hotel where you can rent a car for a day and go hike Timios Stavros (the tallest mountain on Crete and another Unesco heritage site)

Really really good food for good prices! nice service and the location is top! We were here in the Restaurant and the beach lounges (not in the hotel) and it is so nice and food is super delicious!! Would give 10 stars if i could

The hotel provide sunbeds for an extra fee, which we maybe were not expecting but it was totally fair and worth it. The breakfast buffet is simple but filling

That being said about the restaurant, the breakfast at the hotel doesn't have a lot of variation, and most food tastes like nothing. The location is right in front of the beach, and close to the strip

The beaches are better if you walk a bit further, but the view from the hotel is pretty great

When we first arrived, the service was phenomenal. We were early, and were provided luggage storage until the room was cleaned. We were also provided som breakfast

We have frequently been walking over to the "pub street". It's super loud and busy, so it's great to stay on the more quiet side

Stayed at Villa Sonia for middle two weeks in June. Lovely accommodation everything you could want with Lovely sunrise views,right by the sea. Cleaning and towel change every other day

The apartment has Air Conditioning which was quite welcome as it started to heat up as the week went on. Room clean and towel change every two days is ideal as well

Absolutely wonderful both staff and accommodation fabulous lovely comfy bed, wonderful sunrise 🌅 to see every morning from the fabulous balcony again with nice furniture beautiful place to eat breakfast We will definitely stay again next time in Crete

The lady running it and the cleaner were really nice and friendly, they were on hand in case you needed them without being obtrusive. The bathroom is a good size with a great shower which was warm and strong

(three of us) The lift is small but works so even people with mobility problems wouldn't find it an issue. Next time we go back to Hersonissos we will definitely book in Villa Sonia again

We were placed on the second floor and absolutely loved the view from the balcony. We spent most of our room time there just watching the world go by enjoying a nice cold Greek beer

Hotel is very good, clean and staff is great, very kind. Rooms are clean and tidy! Breakfast is great, we loved it! Location is perfect, you have the beach right in front of the hotel, and others are close by foot too

Great hotel, really nice owners. Enjoyed it a lot! I would recommend it to everyone who loves chilling near the beach and having calm holiday. I was there for 5 days and I had a beautiful view from my balcony.

As 2* hotel Zorbas was perfect for trip aruond Crete. We stayed for sleeping and breakfast. Our room was cleaned everyday, fresh towels also. Breakfast and service was very good

Cheap and clean. If you need to save money and be near of two beaches in the same time, this is the place. It's in front of the beach! Wonderful landscape! The apartments are simple but the people are nice.

Amazing half term holiday in October 2025. I highly recommend The Star Beach Village Hotel, we’ve had a super relaxing week

Beach is lovely, sand and big rocks to walk on. Did a safari club jeep experience which was highlight of the holiday. Rooms a little noisy when people are coming back from bar but nothing too crazy

As parents with picky kids, we really liked the lunch and dinner buffets, but we also visited the snack bars frequently. You could easily walk between your hotelroom, the different pools, the snack bars and the ocean

Great facilities, slow pace, great weather and lots of fun for the kids: playgrounds, pools, different waterslides, soccer field, kids activities, free ice cream and slushes (as well as a gokartplace nextdoor)

We (parents with 3 kids, age 9, 6 and 3) had a great autumn holiday during this last week of October

Beds and rooms are nice they have shampoo shower gel and moisturiser but no conditioner. Spa was lovely had a massage experience for 80 euros, well worth the money. Weather hasn’t been great but was expecting it

We were offered another hotel for the 1st night however we didn’t accept and decided to stay with my daughter. The staff were extremely apologetic and agreed on our departure we could keep our room on till 6pm

Can be tricky securing sunloungers by the pool areas and the nighttime entertainment can be a bit noisy if staying near the amphitheatre. The beach is clean and super accessible

I was pleasantly surprised!! We all had a great time and will be back, We were a family of four, young children, and the room was cozy! I imagine with older children it would be cramped

Food was ok and plenty of choice. Ordering drinks from the main bar in the evening was a task and we could be waiting up to 40 mins as only 2-3 staff making drinks

Food selection was good and tasty with different themed nights. Breakfast got a bit boring by day 6, lots of choice just the same every day

The room (we've got upgrate to Family Superior Sea view, duplex) was clean and fresh. 🤌 Staff was friendly and helpful 🧡 Plus, there are a few new bars and a new ropftop pool

Porto Greco Village was a good and clean hotel with many possibilities and friendly staff. Located on the side of Hersonissos and no noice in our room, maybe also because I think the rooms werre not fully booked

We had the all-inclusive formule: food was very diverted, only bad is that warm food was not really warm, what many times is a problem with all-inclusive formula's

The only issue we had was that the mini fridge and the wine fridge didn’t work, but we just got on with it, and towards the end of our holiday the air con in the bedroom just stopped working? Either way this was fine because the living room one worked fine so we just left the bedroom door open to let it cool the bedroom down, although we would have preferred it had worked

The only options we had to drink were (from memory) your basic soft drinks, a small selection of juices (apple and orange) and the alcohol was mainly vodka and rum, with a couple of cocktails, which was ok for my boyfriend but I’m not a big rum or vodka drinker, so I stuck with apple juice
