First time here and was a bit apprehensive reading the mixture of reviews before we came,however we were overall very impressed.
The hotel itself is lovely and check in was swift and we were taken to our room by buggy within minutes.
We had upgraded to a private shared pool before arrival but never used it as water was freezing which was a shame and bit of a waste of money tbh. The room itself was fine.
Had pre booked the al a carte restaurants before we came which I strongly advise to do,
The food and service in these was superb,just can't understand why you can't use more than once when they were only 1/3rd full. Even offered to pay but wasn't allowed to..why??? The buffet was adequate but a bit repetitive and boring.
The pool area is ok,end of season and the grass was well worn and dirty,the pool waa freezing so only the odd brave person in there! Maria was the loveliest waitress though and ensured we never went without anything.
The complex is huge and if u have any mobility issues then you will struggle without tge buggy service which was a God send. The guys were really friendly and never had to wait more than 5 mins for one.
The beach isn't the best as no sand but lovely setting, even though there is a restaurant there you cannot eat there unless you have pre booked for 1 of your al a carte meals which is a shame as only other alternative was a hot dog or melon out of a machine.
Overall we had a good time and would possibly go back but not in peak season as I can imagine the pools and main restaurants get very busy.
Would give it an overall 8/10.

The weather great for October very pleasant. The hotel is exceptionally clean rooms comfortable etc. Food is a let down it’s not 5star and the buffet was the same things each day for a Greek hotel the Greek food wasn’t great and the restaurants served the same things that the main buffet served just with waiter service. Not much in the buffet for children etc and most of the food luke warm When I chose an all inclusive food is a big part and really not the best

I absolutely will never fault the staff at mitsis royal mare. They are truly excellent, their level of care and attention is second to none.

Attention to the cleanliness of the site is supreme apart from the cats. They walked all over prepped tables and cutlery in the restaurant shortly before people sat down to eat .

My personal opinion has been it's been difficult to entertain the children here for the last week at the end of October. The pools are absolutely freezing. In fact even though the sea is cold it's warmer than the pools. I get that it's a large site. And that heating very pool is unrealistic...but c'mon...the kids club pool. It's tiny and it wouldn't cost you alot to heat it. Or put some small slides in. It could really use the investment. The mini golf is tired, broken and old and could also use some investment. The final issue is the indoor pool which was tired looking and had no entertainment for the kids there. There clearly used to be a bar there as well...what happened?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We have had an absolutely fantastic stay. The à la carte restaurants have all been incredible with my favourite being the Mediterranean. The service throughout the hotel has been exceptional with everyone so eager to help and make our stay special. On the evening of my husband’s birthday we had a cake and a bottle of fizz delivered to our room which was such a thoughtful touch. A special mention to Maria at the pool bar who was always so lovely and looked after us perfectly around the pool. This is our second time staying at a Mitsis hotel and once again the group has shown why they are known for luxury and excellence. We will definitely be returning.

Fantastic place to stay staff are very comadating! Maria at the Delphinus pool bar is exceptional , she is very friendly and is willing to go out her way for you. She always has a smile on her face. She works very hard and you can tell she loves her job. Thanks you to all the staff as they are all very friendly !

We’ve just come back from a nice relaxing 8 night stay. It’s our second time visiting this hotel. We staying in a shared pool and would definitely recommend staying in one of these rooms, clean spacious and the house keeping was exceptional, our mini bar was topped up most days. We did request the complimentary anniversary package for the day after arrival at 1pm but was disappointed as the cake was already in the fridge when we arrived then at 1pm the next day another cake was delivered with no sparkling wine I rang reception and they sent someone to restock out mini fridge which was not what I asked, I then had to go to reception to speak to them directly and the sparking wine was then delivered at 5pm I understand this is complimentary but wanted it as a little surprise for my husband. We also requested the room or area that we had stayed in the previous year we were told on arrival that the room wasn’t available which I knew couldn’t be guaranteed which was fine but all our al a cart reservations were in the room that we requested and not the room we were staying in a little confusing when I went to reception to ask if it could be changed on the future reservations I was told it couldn’t not sure why but it would have helped the staff when going to these reservations as they ask for the room number on arrival. It’s the first time we’ve used the spa and although it was lovely I found the outside areas very dated and quite dirty. All in all we did have a lovely stay the staff at the calypso bar are lovely always with a smile on their faces. Anna at the crepe bar was lovely too even though the weather wasn’t great when we went down. Food in the main restaurant isn’t very warm but lots of fresh cooked options available and always lots of option on the deserts.

Stayed here in October and was lovely location for a bit of sun, two main pool areas, with buffet and then themed restaurants (average food), the pool bar had entertainment nightly and the upstairs bar had lovely bar staff, Herson is a credit to the team and was always so tentative, the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. In whole the venue is quite big and has a spa service which is extra and there is also an indoor pool although not that big.

Really lovely hotel. Swimming pool is cold in October just fyi. Room is lovely and is spacious. Buffet is average but the bookable restaurants are nice. Herson at the upstairs main bar was really kind, caring and incredible service. We done the onsite photo shoot which was great fun but is pricey if you wanted the pictures. Did message the hotel saying it was my friends 30th but nothing special was done for her which is no affect on our stay but could of added a special sparkle

We had a wonderful all inclusive stay at the Mitsis royal Mare. The staff are extremely hard working, friendly and attentive, they really go out of their way to make sure everyone has a great time. The main restaurant has loads of options, all the food was delicious and fresh. We also really enjoyed the a la carte restaurants with our favourite being the Asian and the Italian. The cocktail menu is amazing , especially enjoyable in the rooftop bar. Two big pools to relax at during the day, with evening entertainment by the pool as well. The hotel has its own private beach, lovely clear water, be sure to pack aqua shoes as little rocky. There’s a beachside bar in too so you can enjoy refreshments at the beach. Overall we had a brilliant stay and we would definitely recommend.

The main bar was great in the evening and entertainment varied. All staff very helpful especially Herson, he was very attentive and professional, nothing was too much trouble and he looked after our many drinks! The restaurant team worked hard and thanks to the chefs for a varied menu every night.
