Vasia Boulevard Hotel (Adults Only) in Hersonissos

We have just returned from Vasia Boulevard, worst hotel we have stayed in. Not 5* at best 3*, we arrived late a bland sandwich each was left along with fruit, not appetising. Bedding was grey, towels very poor quality. Housekeeping did their best and kept room clean. The photos advertising the hotel did not resemble the room we stayed in Room309, neither did the pool area. We did not use it or saw anyone else using it, the beds were large beanbags, to say the least were dirty and well worn. Food was a hit or a miss, either tasty or inedible. We did complain but complaint was handled badly. We were on half board but ate only 3 x times. The breakfast was OK but very repetitive, and slow to replenish empty trays of bacon, eggs etc. The reception area was clean but very clinical. We requested a late checkout as our airport pick up was at 7/8pm but wasn't available, we were offered a shower at 3pm, we had to push to get one at 5pm. It is very disappointing as we were looking forward to our holiday. Needless to say we won't return or recommend the Vasia Boulevard.

Firstly, we were welcomed into the hotel and had our luggage taken to the room and was escorted there and shown where everything was which we appreciate, we were told we had been "upgraded" to a partial sea view which took us aback. Until we saw the room. The hotel lobby smelt clean and looked clean and to a good standard. However the hotel should not be a 5 star and the main reason is the room and the facilities. Room: We were "upgraded" to a corner room, which was essentially shaped like a triangle. It barely fitted the necessary facilities and had little cupboard space. Firstly, we had one side table. The wardrobe opened into the bed, to the point it wouldn't open fully and the drawers inside couldn't open fully. The safe was broken, which was quickly sorted for us thankfully. However the main problem was the bathroom. The shower was too small to fit my partner in properly, the width was 2 of his UK size 10 shoes and he had to use the hand shower head and be half of the shower washing. The toilet was that close to the wall that every time we used it, we smashed our elbows on the wall. We expected some noise with being on the main strip but we were being woken up early hours by bin lorries, never mind music blasting until 3am. There was absolutely no sound proofing to prevent any of this. The whole hotel echoed with everyone else moving around and coming in early hours too, so sleep barely happened. We informed the hotel of the problem with the bathroom, we waited almost 2 days with Jo response so we connected Jet2. They tried to sort something out but was told by the hotel we couldn't be moved because it was fully booked. It wasn't. We checked online our selves and there was rooms available for our dates. A couple of days before our holiday was over, we had a resolution of moving to a sister hotel miles away, which was no good as we chose that hotel to be close enough to my partners parents. Not only that, the hotel claimed to Jet2 that all the rooms were the same size. Absolutely lie. We looked into more than 5 rooms while they were being cleaned and they were all bigger with some rooms having what appeared to be wetroom bathrooms, no room had a bathroom as small as ours. Hotel Facilities: The hotel was basic, the breakfast was atrocious which next to no options for vegetarians or vegans. We asked if they had an alternative milk which they claim they didn't, get the hotels restaurant is making dishes with soya milk. So we can only assume these meals are brought in and not cooked on site. There is a pool however it may as well not exist it's that small, and free lounges in the courtyard of the hotel that doesn't really get sun light, but you have to pay for the ones on the beach, which for the price you're paying to stay there you should be having access included in my opinion. The food for breakfast has no indication of allergens and the staff don't fully understand when you ask them what's in it. Location: It's an ideal location if you
