Victoria Hotel in Agios Nikolaos

I found this very charming hotel by coincidence. Lucky me.

Victoria Hotel is located a pleasant walk along the promenade from the center of Agios Nikolaos. A family driven place with such kindness.

The pillow cover and the sheets are washed with such delicious fragrances, that really lifts the spirit. Everything is so clean and professional.

I surely recommend Victoria Hotel and this small and beautiful town in Crete.

Just realized I never rated this! We stayed here for a week in June 2023 and I still think back to this as one of my most favorite stays ever! Stavros was more than outgoing to help us with navigating around the environment, and everything else, including bringing our laundry to a cleaner! Only things we didn't like were:
1. The loud road directly in cront of the balcony (though that also allowed us to watch the ocean every time we went outside)
2. The mosquitoes inside because there wasn't a mosquito net.

Spotlessly clean, amazing view and the best location in AN run by the nicest people. Great new modern wet room shower - cannot find fault.

Very clean , smart, spacious modern room with amazing views over the bay. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful particularly with sorting available parking outside the hotel. Bottles of water on arrival and then wine and cake after a couple of days were a really nice touch. Location is good - short walk to the lake and main centre but also close to some very nice restaurants in the other direction.

Me and my wife Alexandra spent wonderful ten days in this place. We still regret that we did not extend our stay for at least a few more days. Mrs. Victoria and Mr. Stavros are wonderful hosts and very kind, hardworking and generous people. They make you feel at home. Their efforts to please their guests are not servile but discreet and noticeable in every way. Rooms are clean, cozy and very well maintained. We had a room with a wonderful view of the Mirabello bay, nearby islands and a part of open sea. Therefore, we highly recommend this place as a second home while staying on Crete. To Mrs. Victoria and Mr. Stavros we wish all the best and send our regards and thanks.

Simple and pleasant hotel. Grey value for money. Really cozy rooms that had an authentic Greek feel to them. Wry friendly staff. Excellently clean rooms. Right by the ocean. Much more charming than the big hotels.

If you want to feel right at home, without any worries, with a free mind… If you like authenticity, pure kindness… Hotel also the best located of all…. Beaches all along the seaside below the hotel, on both sides, in one direction to the port, in the other to Amoodie beach, 3 supermarkets nearby, including one a few meters away... In fact you are very close to everything... even the mailbox... You will already find everything just on the long straight line (superb) which is Akti Koundourou street, therefore the hotel street The room is cozy but difficult to recreate the climate in photos… The bedding: honestly, I had to go to 3 to 4 stars hotels: it was at the Victoria Hotel where I really slept the best… The bed is a joy… The balcony: take in the view of the sea... You can't imagine what a joy it is to wake up, watch the Sun rise/set over the sea, enjoy a coffee without being disturbed or in a hurry to leave the place (like on the terrace at the café): no, your balcony is yours and the relaxation is unrivaled... Even during the day the view is stunning... I'm not even talking about the breathtaking photos you'll take!!! Functional bathroom, quite satisfactory. The adorable cleaning lady: each time I felt like I was entering the room for the first time, perfectly tidy and clean... Normal you might say? No, it's unspeakable, it's affection that you feel at the Victoria Hotel and not someone who has come to work It's like Stavros: when he helps you, finds the solution to what's worrying you, or even says hello: it's not the masked coldness of a hotel doorman. His help, his wish that your vacation is ideal, his smiles are sincere… Air conditioning, kettle so you can drink your coffee quietly on the balcony and marvel at the landscape… TV but hey, I don’t go on vacation to watch TV… For excursions or even to rent a car: of course offers are posted in the hotel and you can ask Stavros for help, but also remember that superbly well placed, one door from the hotel: there is the Zet Travel agency… You see, there are big hotels, factories, impersonal, where the staff look like machines... Hotels where you are just a room number... Stavros and Victoria are wonderful people. Stavros is a Wonder pile... He does 36,000 things and yet he is there if you need him... and what a joy to see his smile in the morning when leaving the hotel, your day can only go well... Victoria, she is more discreet but if you have the pleasure of knowing her, you quickly realize that if there were more people like her and Stavros, the world would be so much more beautiful... Spending your vacation in Agios Nikolaos is a joy, but staying at the Victoria Hotel will make it incomparable…

The Victoria Hotel is kept spotlessly clean and Stavros and Victoria cannot do enough for you. Situated overlooking the sea with a supermarket nearby and a choice of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Spoke to several guests who have returned year after year.

Just wonderful!! We’ve just spent 14 fabulous days here. Couldn’t have been better! Sea front, fabulous location, 5 min walk to Ammoudi beach, 10 min walk to the town centre. Plenty of breakfast options within 5/10 walk. The hotel is spotlessly clean, always smelling of fresh lemon fragrance. Stavros cannot do enough for you, whether it be booking taxis, making restaurant reservations, answering any questions we had. So, so helpful. We opted for a sea view room (Room 42) and it was just as we hoped. Great little balcony facing the sea, air conditioning, fridge, kettle, beds made up/room and bathroom cleaned every day, fresh towels every two days, replenished shower gel daily, hairdryer provided for the duration of our stay, coffee and tea bags provided daily, we were even given free cakes after a couple of days and a free bottle of wine. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Great value too. Thank you so much Stavros and Victoria, we will be back!!
