Had a great stay in studio No1. Big room with comfy bed. Very accommodating and kind owners. Airport shuttle was cheap for 2 people Vs taxi. Studios are close to the airport. Kitchen facilities were good too. Can't fault them!

Really good value compared to other hotels near the airport. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms well appointed. You have to self check in but everything went smoothly. We liked the common kitchen area plus the rooms have a mini kitchen and fridge.

Well, you sleep in boxes, it was fun for just one night stay, we arived very late at night and this was no problem at all. Compared to the low prices everything was ok. It would have been nice to be able to control the temperature in the box, but the air cycler did a fine job.

We had a wonderful family stay! The room was clean and spacious, the host was very kind and helpful. The amenities were great. Perfect location (close to Keflavik airport) and very family-friendly. Blue Lagoon is a short distance to reach by car. Highly recommended!

It was a good experience in Iceland however there’s very less amenities which is only beds toilet in the room and even there’s no microwave in the hotel.

The bed in the room was too soft, and I woke up with a backache. Also, the customer service was too slow to respond, and the room was completely empty.

It’s a very good location with decent price. The postcards are the cheapest I can find in the city. You’ll have access to nice food place from there.

As location is in City, parking is an issue and extra cost. Shared showers were a mixture of standards. Kitchen was not regularly cleaned.

Cottage is very basic and rustic. Some cottages have parking in front, others do not. The bed was fine but the pillows were paper thin with one per person. Bathroom was clean but needed some tending to. Pictures look great online vs in person. If you’re looking for a decent location that is a bit budget friendly, the cottages are fine. Just expect a rustic look experience.

Cabin was warm, cozy and spotlessly clean upon arrival. Good restaurant on site. Great fish and chips from food truck just down the road. Beautiful walking trails close by as well.

Cottages were comfy and it was nice that the weather was good enough to sit outside on the patio. It would be easier if it was possible to park the car at the cottage though. Depending on where your cottage lies the way from the car park with a heavy suitcase can become quite long... Especially when it rains. Diner at the Arnarstapi center was rather underwhelming. Breakfast was better but it is not...

Ive stayed in better It was fine, bed was comfortable but the room was very bare bones, only one pillow, hot water only lasted 3-5min, felt like a $75 cabin you would rent in an american state park but they charged you $300 + a night. Ive stayed in better hotels in iceland that make more sense value to cost. Theres no view no skylite the big window you see just faces other cotages.

I think it's great for groups of friends traveling together. For couples, the room might be a bit basic, but the kitchen and laundry facilities are really convenient, making it perfect for a more budget-friendly trip.

This hotel offers decent value for money in Iceland. The elderly gentleman at the reception provided excellent service. Although the bathrooms are shared, they were very clean. Cozy cabin! Easy check-in. The ladder on the bunk beds was broken, but besides that it's a pleasant stay.

Cottage lovely, food good. No sleep due to blasting music and drunken shouting by a group 9pm-2am, got a migraine. Nothing about quiet time or expected behaviour. When I complained, the guy knew but 'nothing I can do'. Messaged for hours during the noise, noone ever replied. Not good enough. Real shame as a repeat guest I came for peace and got none.

I was worried about the bugs, but when we stayed, we kept the windows open for ventilation, but no flies came in. We were satisfied with having the cottage to ourselves at a reasonable price :)

The location is good, about 40 minutes from the geyser, and it is quite dark around at night. The houses are built around three hot spring pools. You can soak in the hot springs at night while watching the stars and the aurora. At least one of them is hot 24 hours a day. Fairly cheap stay as for Iceland however the cottage itself was not the best. It was old and the kitchenette was dirty.

The hotel was so comfortable with heating floor system. The breakfast was pretty simple but we appreciated the staff specially prepared the breakfast earlier for us as we need to head out earlier for our glacier excursion. We enjoyed the hot tub very much! We can even saw the glacier from the hotel room! Highly recommended!

We were only planning to stay 1 night but ended up extending twice. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the breakfast was excellent. The breakfast area has stunning views of Hoffellsjokull glacier, as do the amazing hot tubs, which are free to residents. If you want to go to the glacier, it’s about 4 km from the hotel along a river bed, which is only drivable in a 4x4 or you have a reasonable walk....

Beautiful hot tubs overlooking glaciers and a horse farm. There are four spacious hot tubs with access to clean and comfortable amenities. They also have a walk up bar for drinks and such. We spent about two hours soaking in the various tubs and enjoying the scenery. Perfect stop regardless of the weather, a great place to stop if you are in the area!

We had such a pleasant stay. The property is on a gorgeous piece of land. It was very quiet and peaceful. The room was clean and spacious. Our bathroom was huge! We got a room on the second floor so we had to carry our luggage by using the stair. The room was spacious for 4 persons with well-equipped kitchenwares. The host was kind and she offered us to join the goat tour of her farm for free but we couldn’t make it because we arrived there later than the tour started. It’s easy to find the place on google map.

This is a quaint and delightful location. The facilities are basic but more than adequate. The beds are comfortable and there are lovely views of farmland and ponies from the windows. Good communal space (there were four of us and you could have had more). A good base for a stay in Iceland.

We got to experience Icelandic farm life with our girls. They have horses, sheep, and dogs around the property. The dogs are so friendly they spent time playing fetch and following around our daughters.

This guesthouse is absolutely, positively in the middle of a sheep farm. The drive out to it is very fun as you're often encountering sheep on the road. They are not graceful animals. At the time of this review there was only one restaurant in the area for dinner located in Porshofn – the Holtid Kitchen Bar - about 20 minutes away. Breakfast was very good. The cabin needs a better cleaning. Friendly people. We were there on a very foggy and rainy night so we couldn’t see much of the area.

So happy to have stayed here. We saw the the Northern lights! This place was convenient to the golden circle and super quiet. The hosts were wonderful kind ppl.

First and foremost, you need to know that this is an extremely clean and well-kept guest house. Right down to the broom in the room. The bedding is of high quality and very comfortable. The temperature is perfect, if you find it too hot you can turn down the radiator directly on the spot. The fridge and microwave provided by the owner and his wife were very useful as our aim was to save our budget...

Check-in was fine, it’s at The Hill hotel across the street. The room itself is very basic. No tv, no microwave, no mini fridge. Just a bed, couch and bathroom. Bed was comfortable. There isn’t a sidewalk leading into the door, you have to wheel any suitcases over gravel. Extra charge for breakfast, 3400 ISK per person. Dinner is also very pricey. We ended up getting takeout pizza from Mika Restaurant...

We had a lovely stay at Vallakot Farm Guesthouse. The studio was well-equipped and very clean. We had a comfortable night’s rest after a long day of driving. The unit we occupied was between two others. So, a little like a motel, but with a lovely rural atmosphere. Lovely little table set on the deck which overlooked the pastures. At the corner of the building was a hot tub which the owner filled upon arrival with geothermal water, which was then emptied after we'd gone to bed. Convenient to restaurants and shops in town. "Filling Station" restaurant next door looked great in photos, but closed for family trip when we were there. Kitchenette available for guests. No host, but key code sent by email for lockbox. Large room.

We arrived in the evening and we had no problem getting our key from the lockbox. The access was very clean and our room had a nice view of the waterfall in the distance. The rooms are spacious and quiet and we did not hear any of the other guests all night. Parking is no problem and there is a convenient gas station next door.

The location is great, but the guesthouse itself is very small and not suitable for a stove in the middle, as the Chinese were frying fish for an hour, and our entire room was filled with a terrible smell. My husband threw up from it; the smell was unbearable. In such a small house, the only thing you can leave is a microwave.

The kitchen facility was clean and handy for making a quick meal or tea. The rooms are clean and updated. The beds were comfortable and the location is near to shopping and food. This has e writhing you need for an overnight stay like ours, or for a couple of days if you are making day trips from this area.

It's an acceptable place for staying one night but nothing charming about it. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. There is one shared kitchen which is too small for all the rooms and was crowded at dinner time. It has a very small dishwasher to leave the dirty dishes in, but in the morning was full and running so all the dishes were laying dirty in the kitchen sink.
