this was the hotel icelandair stuck us with because the delay out of zurich made us miss our connection. very basic, adequate under the circumstances. check in was slow because there was only one lady at the desk and there were many of us. The staff was super friendly, even changing my room so I would have a better view in case the northern lights would make an appearance! I had to be up super early for a flight so in-room coffee makers would be my suggestion. Otherwise staff gave me a complimentary transfer back to the airport, what more could I ask for?!

The Keilir is a very nice family owned Hotel. It is clean, safe, has good heat and fist internet. The breakfast is simple but nice and food is fresh. I have stayed at just about every hotel in Keflavik and for my money Hotel Keilir is the best value. I've spent dozens of nights there and I always look forward to my stay.

Hotel Keiler is lovely, nice rooms and conveniently located in town. Staff is the best part, very friendly and helpful especially when we were in a tough travel situation working through Icelandair. Can’t thank staff enough for the help! One note, you’ll need shampoo, or may need to ask about it on arrival. A grocery store for affordable needs is just 2 min walk though!

Formerly a convent, this hotel was super cozy and lovely to stay at. Patrick was amazing and super friendly - he actually made us a dinner reservation at a local spot in town too! We all got excellent rest for our first night after flying and woke to a delicious breakfast buffet included with the stay. Would highly recommend if in the area!

Boutique hotel just outside Selfoss in the middle of a picturesque location nestled in the hills. Rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The sauna and the hot tub are exactly as advertised. Breakfast had a lot of options and they also has some cakes and cookies at all hours in the lobby. Overall very good experience and would definitely come back.

This hotel has a wonderful location nearby Hella. It is clean and all rooms have a private entrance. It is a real shame though that the food isn’t good at all. It is far from fresh and way too overpriced. Same goes for breakfast. Really disappointing.

Clean room. Nice breakfast. Pretty location. Staff was nice. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night a couple of times and staff was no where to be seen for what felt like a long time. It was faulty not a fire. It was a bit frustrating at 3am. Nothing was mentioned the next morning. I would think a discount would have been given or an apology but nothing.

Beautiful views! We went in hopes to experience the aurora borealis (we had two nights previous luckily) even in their absence this place lacked no picturest moments. Horses in the field 10m away, the moon rising, and a peaceful time spent in the hot tub and sauna were beyond my hopes.. safe and friendly

I stayed in a twin room with shared facilities and had an amazing stay. The living room was cosy, the kitchen big and the shared bathroom clean. The bedroom was also spacious. Location is perfect, in between many spots of Myvtan. Would totally recommend

The sleeping cabins have everything a tired traveler will need. Spacious and clean washrooms. Practical shared kitchen. Power points outside for those who wants to (slow) charge their cars. Minutes away from food. A perfect resting place for passing traveler.

We loved our stay and your hotel. My only suggestion is to consider preserving an area for viewing the Aurora and the night sky. the area back by the hot tub would work well if the lights were changed to minimize the light interference.

One of the best hotels in Iceland, very friendly staff, Hot Tube was the best after all day hiking. Spacious rooms with great view, coffee mashine and kettle in the room, comfortable beds, great showers. Very clean. Luxury cosmetics in the showers. Tasty dinner and a good breakfast. This hotel is very suitable for vacation and leisure. It is located in a forest. The front desk drove a golf cart to deliver our luggage to the door of the room. The hotel is a bit far from the center of Egilsstadt. The breakfast is average with few options. The dinner is okay, but the steak is too old. The chef came out to greet us personally and replaced it with cod according to our request.

There's a lake next to it, but the view is average. There's no kettle, so you have to go to the front desk to get water, just like in college, and you have to walk outside to get to the front desk. The bed is small.

It's a student dorm but in the summer it's a hotel. Therefore the rooms are not super cosy, but it's okay and clean. All rooms have a great view onto the fjord! Breakfast was great! And you can make your own waffles! 😍

Simple cottage with hot spring at the reception area. Kitchen was well equipped and managed to cook some food. However, heater in the room was not too strong. We were quite cold as the temperature dipped the night we were there. We managed to catch the aurora right from our room windows! That was only because the location was great and no light pollution around.

We saw the aurora borealis when we arrived. Make sure to arrive at this hotel early, as the front desk isn't open 24 hours. After watching the aurora for a while, we quickly checked in because the staff were about to leave. Before they leave, check if the heating is warm enough; if not, adjust the temperature while they're still there.

Wonderful place to stay! We were here for just one night and we all wish we had booked a longer stay! The cabins are so cute and have a terrific view! The staff was terrific and meals were great. They were happy to make special food items for our 5 year old. We are very much hoping to be back here again and stay longer to really take advantage of all Hestheimar has to offer!!

The people working for the place were kind and friendly. However the owner was insane. They keep reiceving the customers even though there was serious problem in the room 4, 5 and 6 where the floor heating was not working at all. You have to pay extra money to avoid the room 4, 5 and 6 otherwise just get the cold feet for the cold room.

We were with friends for two nights, wonderful hotel, delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful hostess of the hotel. the rooms are very clean and smell nice. We stayed at Hotel Heidmork for 3 nights and didn't faced any issues. The hotel is managed by a couple and is located few kms away from Reykjavik downtown but location is perfect when you are travelling Golden Circle and south coast. Would really recommend this amazing place.

Great location and within walking distance of a lot of stuff! Only complaint is the room was slightly dirty upon arrival. The housekeeping left behind used cleaning towels, a glove IN the toilet bowl, and the shower had stuff from the previous people left behind. We did get breakfast down the street through the hotel each morning which was great!

Breakfast was good, maybe the best part of this property. Shower was old and gross. Guest room and breakfast room are very dark. Probably by keeping it dark, they can hide some dirtiness of the property? There’s a reason why it’s super affordable compared to other places around the area.

These are pretty nice rooms, and the private bathrooms were a welcome surprise. The rooms were frigid! The interior walls were thin from room to room to the extent it is easy to hear your neighbor cough. It is possible that it is not the most well insulated. Woke up late, the breakfast was closed.

We stayed here for two nights with our older teenage children (over 2 rooms). The rooms were very clean, had a great shower room and very comfortable beds. We loved the hot tub and the breakfast was very good too. There was also a communal lounge with complementary hot drinks. It was a great place to base ourselves for exploring the area. Lovely campsite open in the winter! Campers do a self-serve check-in on an iPad at the hotel reception where you can also get a coffee or a drink. The hotel is located in a charming paradise, surrounded by breathtaking nature. The homemade bread is excellent, and the breakfast is good and varied. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We were also lucky enough to see the Northern Lights! It’s very quiet, and we slept extremely well.

If you are travelling with a campervan on a road trip, and need a campsite to stay, this is great. There is a self-serve kitchen area with all essentials you require along with some extra condiments etc. The lobby also is very nice.

The floor is warm, even though there are strong winds at night in the area, there is no one talking around. The sound of the wind is like natural white noise, and there are mini bar drinks, tea, and coffee included in the accommodation price. The place was very clean and very close to Seljalandsfoss - a great place to stay if you’re touring the south coast. Nice hotel which is reasonably close to the airport. Shuttle service (one way) from the hotel to the airport is a bonus. Too bad there's no shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Not sure why. Dinner at the restaurant was good, and is the only dining option available. We didn't see any restaurants within walking distance.
