I recently had the pleasure of staying at Guesthouse Aurora, where the charm of the establishment was only matched by the warmth of its hosts. Nestled in a convenient location next to the Church, the guesthouse presented itself as an inviting home away from home, perfect for travelers looking for an authentic and personal touch to their accommodation.

Before arrival, we were worried that we cannot checkin because we took a night flight. However, when i called the staff, he answered that even our arrival time is out of customer service, he could leave the key and PIN code for us to self-checkin, he also went beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process. Their attention to detail and eagerness to assist with any inquiries set the tone for a delightful stay.

The guesthouse itself boasted a quaint and cozy atmosphere, with communal areas that were well-kept and adorned with tasteful decorations, offering a homely comfort that was immediately noticeable. The included breakfast was a highlight of the stay, featuring a generous spread of both local and continental options, freshly prepared and sure to satisfy a variety of tastes. The morning meal provided a wonderful opportunity to mingle with other guests and exchange travel tales, all while enjoying the delightful array of food.

However, it's worth noting that the room space was somewhat compact. While the room was impeccably clean and well-equipped with the necessary amenities, the limited space could pose a slight inconvenience, especially for those with a significant amount of luggage or a

The hotel is in a very good location, right next to the cathedral, within a kilometer walk, almost covering the important commercial district of Reykjavik, which can meet all the requirements of life

Location - fabulous. Room - adequate. Breakfast - pretty darned good (note - it is in the basement, that was suprizing to me). Bathroom - untended (no toilet paper for three days, guests in this shared bathroom using paper towel and then STUPIDLY trying to flush - I had to plunge the toilet more than once, trash overflowing and paper on the floor -

The place is nice enough for the price and i bet the bathroom situation will be better.

We were able to find street parking easily.
We could walk to everywhere easily.
