Blu Sea Hotel in Sorrento

We loved absolutely everything about this place! The apartment was stunning, we had everything we needed. And the views, just breathtaking. You cannot get a better base for your stay, a few minutes walk to the town centre, close to the train station😍 Lucri is an incredible woman , so helpful, answered all of my thousand questions lol and also went above and beyond to help me with celebrating my sister's 40th birthday. Thank you for your amazing hospitality, I will recommend this place to everyone I know 😊

About the room: I will start with what this accommodation really is like, because after reading the reviews and visiting it was not very clear. To reach this room, you have to enter a code on the outside gate, then enter another code in a building. This building is one of many in the complex. To enter "Blu sea sorrento" you enter a code to a room which leads into a hallway that has 3-4 different rooms. Our room was through one of these 4 doors. I'll begin with the positives: the bed was comfortable, there was a mini fridge and we had a balcony. Communication: I found communication with the host to be quite poor. I reached out 2 weeks before our stay to ask a question, texted again a week later about check in time and finally 2 days before check in saying "hello?" with no responses. Finally the day before check in I got a response saying she would send check in information shortly and then finally did many hours later. No one was there to greet us but the check in instructions were very detailed. Once in the room I noticed stains on some pillows and texted her about this but did not get a reply so I called. She did pick up the phone immediately though and came to change the pillow cases within the hour. Check out time is also listed as "7:30am-11am", however at 10:30am we got a knock on our door from the woman who came to clean and she told us check out is always at 10:30am which was not clear and we were rushed out of the room essentially. The room: The room I found much smaller than it looks in the photos. The shower is incredibly small and was tough to shower in honestly. I think the room could have been cleaner, there was dust on things and the shower/sink could have also been a bit cleaner. We did get new towels and the room made up each day. The balcony really made the room, I would not recommend a room without a balcony. There was also a safe and mini fridge in the room. No toiletries were provided either just shower caps, shower gel and hand soap attached to the wall. The blow drier was also horrible to use it ****** hair into the back of it multiple times and burnt it so be careful. The pool: This was a nice touch but it's closed every day from 2-4pm, you have to wear a bathing cap which you buy from the lifeguard for 1-2 euros. There were also many many children because the pool is shared by all the buildings in the complex. Breakfast: We chose the breakfast included option and received "breakfast cards" for each morning we were there. You take these breakfast cards to the cafe next to the building complex where you get a croissant and an espresso/cappuccino for breakfast. There was no free water/coffee/snacks/ fruit provided. Overall I would not stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it but the location is a plus.

Great location, my room was small and the shower really small. The check in was digital but smooth.

The managers never responded to our messages on *********** or WhatsApp, which is a real shame. Hospitality is very important, and this contributed significantly to my rating. On the day of arrival, they send you a WhatsApp message with pre-written messages with very specific and kind details on how to access the B&B and your room. They immediately ask you to send scanned documents either via WhatsApp or email, which I then sent once I arrived in the room (which I didn't like very much). Everything is automatic, with a code for the gate at the entrance and another very easy-to-remember code to access the room (on the 4th floor via elevator) via a touchscreen outside (I wonder if it's changed often; anyone can access it if they know it). You enter through a shared entrance where breakfast is served, and then there are several adjacent rooms with their own panels and codes. The terrace is shared with another room, so anyone can access it easily; there's no security or privacy. If I'd read somewhere that it was like this, I would never have chosen this place despite its proximity, especially given the very high price. But this is Sorrento, there are worse options. The bathroom is small, with no way to hang towels except on a towel warmer. The room and bathroom are clean and have everything you need. It's in a very convenient location, just a few minutes' walk from the center. There's a parking lot very close by (Parco di Stinga). Prices are all similar and very high (€36 per day). Breakfast is a bit poor, and the coffee isn't very good; it's better to get it at the nearby bar. The view from the shared terrace is stunning. I'm giving it 2 stars only because of its proximity to the center, the access to the pool (which I didn't use), and the stunning view from the terrace, but I wouldn't recommend it.

The view was amazing, but the balcony was shared with other room. The location was great, very close to the centre. Would recommend, but would appreciate installing hooks for towels in the bathroom.

Great location spotlessly clean highly recommended . Easy check in , breakfast was lovely , great views from our balcony. Close to train station shops ,bars, restaurants etc .yet quiet enough to get a good night's sleep . Great base to enjoy sorrento and surrounding areas

Highly recommend Blu Sea Sorrento. Location is perfect, right in the middle of centre and no walking up crazy amount of stairs. The room was big, clean and had a great view of the ocean!
