Hotel Gravina San Pietro in Rome

Our stay at Hotel Gravina San Pietro was fantastic. The hotel was nice. The room was beautiful, large and modern. The breakfast was great. The location was ideal, so close to the Basilica. You are looking at the dome from the rooftop patio. We were pleasantly amazed by our stay here. I highly recommend it.

Initially, they gave me a room with twin beds which I booked as a double and they changed the room to very noisy and full of dust but the next day the manager helped me to get better room

The advantage of this hotel is that it is located 10 minutes from the Vatican, walking distance. Just be careful when booking because the rooms with a view of the Vatican are few and it is possible that they are already occupied when you arrive at the hotel, which means that you will receive another room that does not have a view of the Vatican as I booked, and when you make the reservation it clearly says that you will receive a room with a view of the Vatican subject to availability. Another small dissatisfaction is that the hotel does not have slippers, not even for a fee, so bring your own slippers from home if you do not want to buy slippers from the supermarket. The food is good but not very diverse. The duvet is strange because it does not have a cover but only framed between two sheets, really clean and the towels are changed daily. In the end I can say that it is a 3-star hotel with a rating of 9.

The hotel is close to the Vatican, the cleanliness is not bad, the location is very good, right next to the Vatican, there is a train station nearby and it is easy to get to the airport. I would choose it again. Yes, the breakfast is adequate. There is construction going on right now, but it is not too noisy. I walked everywhere, exploring at my leisure. I think it's very good for the price.

This hotel has lots of benefits and only benefits! We liked it very much and it exceeded our expectations.
The location is great, just 10 minutes from St Peter's Cathedral, so you are close to the main sights but at the same time the street is quite and you can get good rest and goodnight sleep. The rooms are clean and spacious, the bathroom was large too! this is a rarity for Rome! Many hotels offer very tiny rooms but Gravina rooms have lots of space, standard size beds and everything you might need, like a fridge, teapot, etc. I loved the fact that we had wooden floors. Cleaning was done everyday, water pressure in the bathroom was very good too.
There is a supermarket around the corner where you can buy water and more.
Another benefit was 24/7 check-in. For us it was important because we had a night flight and again many hotels in Rome don't offer this service, so it was wonderful that we didn't have to worry about our late arrival.
Breakfast was decent, not huge but we found everything what we normally eat in the morning and coffee from the coffee machine was very good.
And last but not least: the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
I recommend this hotel without any hesitation. This is one of the best offers in this category.

Acceptable, unpretentious hotel.
Clean and well located, 800 meters from the basilica, bus stop 100 meters away, and several restaurants around the hotel.

Acceptable breakfast with good coffee, not much choice, but more than enough.
Discreet, friendly, and helpful staff.

Our stay didn't begin ideally due to a problem with our room, but the staff very kindly moved us to another one, and it ended up being a really pleasant experience.

The location is excellent, just steps from St. Peter's Square. The room is a decent size, although the shower is a bit small, but overall, everything was fine.
