Grand Hotel Gianicolo, Rome1 / 25

Rome, Viale delle Mura Gianicolensi, 107 (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Ristorante Scarpone was a nearby option they recommended. It was fabulous! We would stay at this hotel again just for its proximity to this restaurant, let alone all the hotel’s other fine features
We arrived just in time to join the rooftop celebration for New Years! This was an unexpected surprise. The views of the fireworks were spectacular! The hotel is beautifully classic with some modern touches
Our room was nice, not very ample, but cozy. The shower size will be an issue for larger people. Our included breakfast was a great part of the day
Parking in the property is difficult; you need to call them to open the gate each way, making it not easy after hours. The rooms need some upgrading. The staff is friendly and know how to serve you well
The staff were warm and attentive, the rooms spotless and charming, and the breakfast delicious. The peaceful garden and pool made it the ideal retreat after a day exploring the city. I’ll definitely stay here again! 🇮🇹✨
Another great stay. Have been here 6 times in recent years. Checked in late and was given a very small room. Went down and talked to the front staff, was moved to a bigger room the next day. See you next June.

Very cozy hotel, the room was always super clean, and the breakfast was delicious. It's also really close to the train and metro stations.
Plus, the room had been renovated, making it much cleaner and more modern than the previous photos showed. With plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, we had a very comfortable stay for four days
Very nice hotel. The location is very convenient : close to the center, public transportation and transit to the airport. Totally worth
The Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and other major Roman attractions were all within about a 15-minute walk
The issue occurred because a new shower tray had been installed, but it is a flat one that does no redirect water and no sealant had been applied so it would leak everywhere regardless of the angle of the showerhead, additionally there was no shower screen, only a curtain that hung approximately 25 cm above the floor and several centimetres beyond the shower tray, which failed to contain the water
Despite the inconvenience, I cooperated and even helped him clean the flooded floor. Later that morning, when I spoke to the day reception team, I was told that the shower screens were being installed on Monday

Location is very good site in the Centre of Town and nearby Train station Service is good and have a great buffet breakfast When you go first time be careful GPS sometimes lead you different places.
Close to Termini and bus stops so it’s convenient however it’s a little bit far from famous locations so I recommend you say the first day and the last day of your trip, overall service was really good and I liked the vibe of the place, it had a lot of vintage pieces and the lobby is really beautiful
Excellent location, cannot complain about that. Their website describes free parking but we were not able to find such a thing
My friend and I traveled to Rome, and we were a little apprehensive. But the pleasant surprise of meeting such kind and friendly people, the amazing room they gave us with a little terrace, made our stay unforgettable
Everything was spotless, and the cleaning staff, always smiling, made us feel right at home. Thank you, Hotel Impero, for everything! 🙏🙏🙏
Hotel was okay but so many stairs! Elevator is also small and can barely fit 2 people + luggage. Be mindful when booking. Easy checkin and out

The sink plug did not work and despite 3 requests to fix it and someone coming to look. It never got fixed so we spent the whole holiday without a plug in the sink. in the room there are no drawers
Then we checked the bathroom and some of the towels were dirty from the previous people. It had clearly not been cleaned from before. We had to ask for the room to be cleaned the next day
2 side tables but no drawers to put socks and underwear away. We ended up using the wardrobe which was not ideal. Last of all and worst of all, no kettle or tea making facilities
I know we are in Rome and every drinks espresso but I like a tea and it is a hotel for tourists. It would have been nice to have a kettle and some cups
The toilet seat was wobbly and the button to flush it was dodgy and the toilet kept constantly flushing until you wiggled the button to stop it
On the plus side they provided loads of toiletries, including sachets of bathroom for our room which only had a shower

The price of around 1000 RMB is acceptable normally, but 3000 RMB during peak season is definitely not worth it. The surrounding environment isn't great either
The family room can accommodate four people, making it easier to take care of each other. The large balcony can be used for relaxing, drinking tea, exercising and drying clothes.
The room is very nice, the facilities are new and clean. However, the items used are not replenished after cleaning the next day. The place where the toiletries are placed is not easy to find, as it is under the table
This hotel is far from the subway station, but there are many ice cream shops and steak houses next to it, and it is also close to the Vatican. It is very convenient to live here.
The transportation is relatively convenient, it is also very quiet, and you can store your luggage for free. It is a great choice for a wonderful Roman holiday!
Quiet location, structure in good general condition, large, comfortable, clean and quiet rooms. Good breakfast. Friendly and attentive staff.

I appreciate that the hotel worker with me to resolve an issue. They ended up upgrading us, and were very amenable to helping us. The location and service was great, would 100% return again.
Hotel is very clean, breakfast was great with lots of variety, they do have a rooftop bar where you can get great views of the city at night. Walkable to various shops and restaurants.
The room was spacious, and we especially loved the large balcony with a beautiful lemon tree - a delightful touch! We only wish we had more time to enjoy this lovely space
The private balcony is everything. We never went to the rooftop bar because we had our own private rooftop! Hotel is within walking distance of everything if you are a good walker
Hotel clean, easy on the eye, comfortable , good location, excellent breakfast, wonderful rooms, wonderful Christmas decor. Inviting Will recommend it
The breakfast selections were more than we were expecting- great way to start the day. And finally, all of the staff has been super friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend staying at Ponte Sisto when in Rome!

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and fruit, which was a lovely touch. The service was excellent, and the hotel was spotlessly clean
Recently renovated hotel in a historic building on a very quiet street, close to all tourist attractions within walking distance. Beautiful, well-soundproofed room with comfortable bedding and a large bathroom
If you have luggage, it is recommended to take a taxi, mainly because the roads in Rome are difficult to walk. If you don't have luggage, the train station is very close to the hotel, about ten minutes
Daily cleaning is good, but there is a lot of dust under the bed (we accidentally found it, dropped an elastic band and had to look under the bed). Water was replenished daily (1 bottle of 0
Good, tasty breakfasts, but without meat products and the range of food at breakfast does not change, that is, we stayed for 5 nights and the same food got boring by the end of the holiday
Its location is fantastic, about a 15-minute walk to the Colosseum, which was perfect for strolling back after watching the New Year's Eve fireworks. Overall, a really great hotel!

On the positive side: The location is very close to the Spanish Steps, the pasta at the restaurant near the entrance is quite good, and there's a Carrefour nearby
While the breakfast selection isn't extensive, the excellent service is commendable. The front desk helped me exchange for change and call a taxi
Cozy room, clean, cleaning every day, polite reception staff, always smiling and ready to help. It is located next to the Spanish Steps 2 minutes walk, 5 minutes to the metro Spain. Photo of the street to the hotel
The room is clean and the breakfast is OK. There is a rest area next to the front desk, with sofas, free juice, free coffee and bottled water, which is worth a thumbs up👍. I will stay in this hotel again next time
The restaurant staff, rushing to catch a flight and not having time for breakfast, even brought me milk and an apple – a very touching gesture when traveling abroad. The doorman greeted me every night
The hotel is very conveniently located, and the front desk service is enthusiastic. Travelers are especially reminded that they should book a taxi to the airport one day in advance

The location is excellent; the city center and Termini Station are easily accessible by public transportation. The breakfast was quite generous, and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
Nice vintage stylish classy, Best Western at its best. Different room types all comfy with AirCo, minibar, well equipped in different yet adjacent buildings of a former Villa / Palazzo in bustling Montesacro area
Very nice quiet place and convenient to take public transportation to most tourist visiting places in city centre. Super markets and restaurants are within minutes walk
The location of the hotel was perfect for me. I could take the subway for the bus straight to all tourist attractions. Fewer staffs are very warm; the breakfast is fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone
Hotel 5 minutes from the bus stop although positioned uphill which can be a bit difficult if you are on foot and with luggage. Room a bit small but well furnished and equipped
Very nice bathroom although the shower box was a bit narrow. Also the breakfast buffet was excellent

It only takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Pantheon. There is a bus in front of the hotel. It is also very quick to go to the Colosseum area, the Vatican and Termini Station
Carolina at the front desk is extremely kind and friendly, as well as Silvia at the breakfast. Beds are comfy too! Overall, great stay and would recommend

Nice hotel. Staff are overly helpful and friendly. A short walk away from the Vatican. Bus stop is a quick 5 minute walk from the hotel. Undercover parking onsite.
I was in Rome on a pilgrimage, so my room was booked for me. I've stayed at better but I've also stayed at worse. My room was clean and the housekeeping staff did a great job of cleaning up daily and replenishing towels
-Very friendly staff/reception, -Large single room, -Neat and clean, -Superb bathroom, -Good blackout thanks to the roller blinds, -very quiet in the corridors, -Always plenty of towels, -Very effective air conditioning, -Delicious breakfast with very friendly staff, -Water fountain in the hallway, and certainly very important to mention: the Pope is your neighbour for the duration of your stay
The distance from the hotel to St. Peter's Square is a 10-minute walk. If I had to mention one thing that could be improved, as a solo traveller, I would have appreciated a kettle in the room
I will definitely be returning when I visit Rome again soon, because Rome is one big open-air museum that never ceases to amaze you!
Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome. The price and quality are undeniable

We got a room on a really good price (35euro/night/2adult+2kids), so at that price the hotel was OK. Positives: -The staff was nice and helpful -The room was clean and nice
Everything works, but the owner doesn't spend much on renovations and maintenance. The water in the toilet was slow, the bathroom window could not be closed
Acceptable for the price. Free parking provided
Parking available, good prices...far from the center of Rome
Service: -The staff was nice and helpful, I love them very much (but for something if you want, you need to ask the staff, they will give you) -The rooms were cleaned every day, so it was very nice when we came back after a long day
You can hear everything from the nearby rooms, but it’s not that noisy. Location: -The location is fine, near the bus stop. In the end, still a good experience for us, especially for the breakfast and the staff

The hotel itself is not very large (3 floors, a few dozen rooms), and the design of the room I received (on the 3rd floor) was, in my eyes, beautiful – the walls were tastefully decorated, the wardrobes had wood paneling, and the very high ceilings featured impressive wooden beams
Highly recommended – excellent location, beautiful design, good breakfast, great air conditioning, and very good value for money
The location of the hotel is perfect – almost right next to the Fontana di Trevi and just a few minutes walk from most of Rome’s major historic sites, surrounded by dozens of restaurants, bars and entertainment spots
We stayed here and enjoyed our stay! The staff were very friendly and fun. We enjoyed there breakfast, it was only a few steps away from the trevi fountain and a good walking distance to everywhere else
My only complaint was the rooms were smaller and there was no view but that is very likely in Rome
3 stars earned by location and breakfast (really good!). My room was not nice: Behind the bed was a thick layer of dust, also in parts of the closet. The curtain was full of stains (inclusive a huge red stain)

The hotel staff is amazing! A week before arrival they sent me an email helping me arrange a car service to pick up our family from the airport. Antonio greeted us and helped carry all our luggage to our suite
The most suitable hotel in all respects, both an excellent location and amazing hospitality. they answered every question and any inquiry The room service is one of the best I've seen so far
We just completed a nine night stay at Lunetta. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel in a Superior Double Room. We did find it a bit small for us, but worked out fine
The entire staff (to name a few--Antonio, Roberto, Alex, Luca, Samuele) was excellent to deal with and were more than accommodating to do whatever they could to help
We stayed here for 2 nights for our one year wedding anniversary and we could have not been happier! Everyone was very accommodating and the location was PERFECT! It was in the perfect spot in Rome and the best way to kick off our Italy trip! I would definitely stay here again when we return! We also had plenty of room for our things! Could not get over how helpful everyone was and offering us coffee...
Room was a bit small, but that's Rome. Service was excellent but not overbearing. Location is perfecto! We've stayed there 5 different trips. When they say it is built into the ancient ruins, it's true

Great hotel in the middle of everything. You can walk to many places- Trevi and Pantheon are very close from this place. Lots of restaurants and cafes near by. The rooms are clean and service is great as well
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Degli Artisti! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and eager to help. Check-in was quick and effortless, and our room was spotless and beautifully decorated
Not a great location for an old guy like me because of the extreme hilly streets that must be accessed to get to the hotel we like to walk as driving in Rome is something crazy so that was a bit of a setback
He was incredibly friendly, speaking English with me and Spanish with my wife, which made us feel right at home. His kindness and professionalism were a big part of what made our stay so enjoyable
The hotel has lovely decor with a combination of a traditional, old fashioned feel with modern touches. The lounge on the roof was great to relax in the evening for some fresh air and a beverage

Be prepared to carry luggages up some flight of stairs. Some of the rooms are in between 2 floors. Room is small so for those with large luggages may have a problem opening your bags
It's a 5-minute walk from the train station, quiet and safe, and there's a well-stocked supermarket within a 5-minute walk, which was very convenient for grabbing fruits and water daily! The breakfast was plentiful, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful
We were very satisfied with our 3-night stay. You can even get a packed breakfast to go, which is great if you have an early train!
Traveling to Italy during the summer, this 3-star hotel near Rome's central station perfectly met our needs
Great hotel, friendly staff & clean room. Very happy with the location and breakfast was good!

Easy to get a taxi as well, and we felt safe walking to/from the hotel day or night. The staff was amazing from check-in to check-out. Friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable to us the entire time
The front desk staff was very patient, and the room was clean.
It was nice being close to the station, and the breakfast was delicious. The front desk staff were very friendly. However, the smell from the curtains and carpet in the room persisted, which was difficult
The hotel is really good, conveniently located very close to the central train station/metro station. Although the rooms are quite old, they are fully equipped, and even the double room doesn't feel too cramped.
Thank you to the friendly staff for keeping the room clean. However, the breakfast is a bit lacking compared to a 4-star hotel. Also, the city tax is 75 euros for two people for 5 days
I wonder if it's the same at other places. Compared to other hotels in Rome, the hotel is a comfortable place to rest
