Hotel Isola Bella in Taormina

Overall, I would recommend this hotel.
Some nuances: The bathroom, and especially the shower is extremely tiny and might not fit everyone, but for me it wasn't a problem. The seaview from the balcony made for it!
No soundproofing.
The breakfast variety is quite good.

The location is great, right in front of the sea. However, the room was small, and I couldn't figure out how to close the door properly. The shower room was especially small and I couldn't fit in. Also, the room was smaller than the one I booked.

The soundproofing was terrible; there was noise (vibration) at night. I even happened to witness a couple arguing.

The sea view was absolutely beautiful.

Nice location, helpful staff, good rooms with a nice view. Only (major) downside: positioned right by the road, it’s loud!

This is a fantastic hotel overlooking Isola Bella, Sicily's renowned sea and cove. While it's a little far from Taormina's old town (center), requiring a cable car or shuttle bus for transportation, its proximity to this beautiful beach makes it the perfect vacation spot.

The reception staff were also friendly and hospitable, providing maps of Taormina and recommending nearby restaurants.

As for the room, I stayed in a single room (ocean view) for two nights. The room was minimal, with no space to spread out luggage. Additionally, the bathroom (shower stall only) was only large enough for one adult to stand upright, making it difficult to stretch out or squat. Washing was a bit of a challenge. Also, just before checkout, I discovered bed bugs on my bed 😱 I hope I wasn't bitten... Additionally, the hotel faces a busy road, so even with the windows closed, you can hear the sound of cars driving by late at night and early in the morning, so noise-suffering guests should be aware of this. However, the room was equipped with a compact balcony overlooking the sea, complete with simple chairs and a table. While the balcony itself was shared with the neighboring room via a partition, the view itself was fantastic, and we spent some time there every morning.

Breakfast was served every morning from 7:30am until 10:30am, and consisted of a basic menu of various breads, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, cheese, ham, etc. The view from the terrace seating in the breakfast area was just as spectacular as the room itself.

In conclusion, although the room's facilities and cleanliness were lacking, it was an excellent stay in all other respects.

Great staff, shops and restaurants nearby. Close to the beach and some steep stairs or cable car to get up to the old city of Taormina.

I want to first thank the very wonderful staff who answered tons of questions and organized taxis when we needed them. I also appreciate the 24/hr reception. The rooms are a bit dated but overall have everything you need. The ocean view balcony was lovely. The breakfast I found to be really worth it! Especially as an American who wants eggs and proteins for breakfast, it was a very good price compared to going out. The hotel is about a 10-15 min walk for the cable car up which was very easy to use. There are restaurants and shops near the hotel on a busy street so must walk carefully but manageable. The hotel did not have laundry which was a bummer the only laundry was up in Taormina. We managed fine but just an FYI.

The hotel is wonderful and the staff. I liked the breakfasts. The sea is nearby. The sea view is super. I will definitely come again.
