Lovely inn just outside of town. Friends left car in safe parking area behind gates. Simple but satisfying free breakfast with croissants, bread, cheese, meats, coffee, yogurt and cereals. Coffee or tea. Sitting room for evening cards or meeting by main entrance. We took cab in to town ,

Marignolle was exactly the place I needed while my stay in Florence got extended due to an illness. It is close to the local hospital which I travelled to twice a day. But, it is also convenient to the city center of Florence. Most of the guests I spoke to were enjoying the quiet and serenity of the property and going daily to tour busy Florence. The property is beautiful and meticulously kept up. The rooms are large, clean, and beautifully decorated. But the star of the hotel is it's employees. Incredibly personable, and in my special situation, very compassionate. Lorenzo, the owner was very understanding and patient with me as my plans were very fluid. Angela, who seems to do it all, is warm and thoughtful with everything she she does. The breakfast was perfect, and dinner each night was my respite from the busy days. I can't recommend this place enough. Beautiful, comfortable, and wonderful staff! Thank you, Marignolle!!

I stayed here June 2025 and was most delighted in the property and staff. They were incredibly kind and accommodating and the property is beautiful. Would stay here again!

I met Angela as my host and she’s just the best!! Great service mind, super polite, and very warm. Not only the hotel decor feels like a vintage homey getaway, she fills the role of a welcoming host! No negative comments. Her cooking is amazing too!!! 💓💓💓💓 rare gem this place.

For a Sawdays recommended property I had high hopes and was quite disappointed. This property commanded a high price for a clean tidy room with clean fluffy towels and generally good housekeeping, but that was about it. If you wanted complimentary bottled water, there wasn't any - 4 euros a bottle, 0.50 cents in town. Breakfast was so disappointing - Continental choice only unless you wanted to pay for a plate of scrambled eggs or a plain omelet 8 Euros!! Only Gluten Free offered was some dry packeted bread and biscuits even though they knew I was GF so had to make do with yoghurt and fruit only and a tepid boiled egg. Plenty of GF croissant choices in Florence herself so basically individual needs were not met. Instructions for breakfast were not adhered to, ever, so a waste of paper and waste of time completing. Hosts took no effort to actually get to know what we liked to do; no day trips were offered to us or places of interest outlined - we just got on with it ourselves. They didn't even know what room we were in, even though we stayed 7 nights! Nice to have a pool but hours were limited to 8-8 which is hard when you're out all day; relaxation area was never pointed out to us and we couldn't find it but we had to be 'invited' anyway. Rooms were not well insulated and we could hear guests at all hours coming and going; flushed toilets, conversations and footsteps well into the early hours which was frustrating for an expensive room. So sadly Sawdays recommendation has let us down for the first time.

We booked this hotel on short notice, and it was absolutely five-star, perfect for families with kids traveling by car. You can park in the parking lot outside the ZTL (Zootral Parking Lot) when visiting Florence attractions. The receptionist was incredibly nice, warm, and professional; she escorted us to our room and explained all the check-in details. The breakfast area was very quiet, and the swimming pool was a favorite with the kids… There's a great restaurant at the bottom of the hill. Overall, everything was wonderful, and we're very grateful to the staff.

We enjoyed a private cooking class with Sylvia. It was amazing, we prepared a 3 course meal, enjoyed a local bottle of wine and she gave us the recipes so we can make them when we get home. She answered all of our questions, and gave us great information about the local area.

The best experience just 8 minutes from the center in a magical place! The best hotel and the best hostess (Lorenzo, Claudio, Angela, Margarita, Barbara) amazing place and the best human beings! You will have a great time and a great experience!

My partner and I couldn't have made a better choice, romantic and intimate, beautiful and good, trained and friendly staff. Access to the relaxation area with a breathtaking view, for breakfast nothing to complain about, excellent in that too.
