I stayed for two nights in this hotel. The exterior, all in all, looks quite good, with lots of green space and a swimming pool, the restaurant was also good. However, my experience was deeply disappointing, as far as my room is concerned. I had booked a quadruple, (2 adults and 2 children), and the one assigned to me was absolutely not in line with the photos on the site. The room had damp stains, cobwebs, a step in front of the entrance door that made access uncomfortable, a tiny bathroom without a bidet, which did not exceed 2.5 square meters, and without any support for towels, the view of the room was something obscene and depressing, if you opened the Venetian blinds, (I even had difficulty opening them, considering that there was a table placed under the window and if you are 1.60 tall you cannot reach it) you found people looking at you even while you did your business in the bathroom or simply rested on the bed, and this forced us to keep everything closed using only artificial light. The room was 202/212. I am posting images that demonstrate the facts.

Very cute hotel with lovely people.
Location is very nice, you are very close to Pisa, Florence, Livorno etc. Bedrooms are of decent sized. The pool and garden situation is just amazing. Breakfast and Diner are good. The only improvement point i would suggest is the diner time. Diner starts between 8 and 9 and with small kids thats not very ideal. I have to say that you generally won't find any dinnerplace opening before 7pm in the area.

Besides that great place, I totally recommend!

Hotel Monti
During our round trip in Toscane we stayed four nights in Hotel Monti. We have some mixed emotions about Hotel Monti. The Hotel is located higher up a mountain in the Village San Baronto. There is a parking place with enough space. Breakfast is arranged with an order list the evening before to avoid a busy buffet. We didn’t have diner in the hotel. We tried but tables were only assigned to people with a reservation. There was no flexibility in this and pré reservation didn’t fit our tour schedule, so we ended searching restaurants late in the evening. Most of the staff is kind but Flexibility is an issue. The hotel is some outdated and needs an facelift/update. Conclusion is 3 stars. René and Menekşe

Added after response of the owner: we are your guests too. I understand covid and related rules very good. On the evening that I requested the possibility of food there were a lot of empty tables…. And otherwise you could have said: we can prepare you something, but you have to eat it in your room. As mentioned: flexibility is a thing… i start doubting the hospitality after you defending yourself in stead of calming me down…

BTW: I wrote: the hotel is outdated and needs a facelift/update. You turned it around…

This hotel gets 5 stars for me. The pool was great, the staff was nice and the rooms were very clean. Unfortunately we didn’t try the food, but the rest was great 👍🏼
Perhaps I’ll get back sometime. It’s a little remote, but with a car It’s no problem.

Service terrible. Kitchen staff and chef very rude! I got glutined from the "gluten free" food and tried to tell the staff and the server, the hostess and the chef came to the table. When I asked the chef to leave it, he said the conversation is finished when he says it is finished! We were on the terrace with everyone staring. I was very embarrassed and my husband had to ask the chef to calm down. I tried to explain I didn't want any action, only to Let them know, but the chef and hostess (his wife) were furious and insisted I consumed gluten elsewhere. Since I had not eaten that day and the reaction was immediate, I know I ingested glutine from their kitchen. The "fresh seafood" was actually frozen, not fresh. Rooms are small but clean. The air conditioning they advertised did not work. No phone in the room. Drinks are very expensive, bring your own wine! Pool is nice for kids. There is no view from this hotel, only a view of houses. You do not see the countryside, so if you want a room with a good view, this is not the place for you. I gave it one star because I would never recommend the service, the restaurant or the view to anyone. If all you need is a bed, It's fine. But for a weekend getaway or vacation, I would not recommend.
