Hotel Ercolini & Savi

Even though the hotel had family rooms with connecting doors, they had given us a different room, splitting my family into another room. They could have given the adjacent room to our children who were staying with us, so they wouldn't have put us in a difficult situation. The hotel's room doors were very old; anyone passing by in the corridor could see into our room if they bent over. We also went to the hotel as a group for breakfast, and they crowded us into a corner of the restaurant. The restaurant staff rudely squeezed us into a corner of the restaurant. The hotel is in a good location. Furthermore, the reception and lobby bar staff were attentive and helpful. I would like to thank these two staff members for their helpfulness and kindness.

My stay here was around 10 to 12 years before the above date on this hotel, but it was the farthest back that Trip Advisor would go. I stayed here with a friend with a group tour by Grand Circle. I think we were given the worst room in the hotel, and when we tried to get moved to a better room, we were told they had no other room to move us to. If I wasn’t with this tour group, there was no way I would have stayed at this hotel. Part of the problem was with Grand Circle cutting corners and one of the things I really hated about this tour is their tendency to book us into hotel rooms with lousy beds. Often, I felt like I was sleeping on a board. At this hotel, however, my bed sagged and I woke up every day with a backache. Our bathroom was much worst, very old school like 1920s and run down. I never got to see any of the other rooms but I do think they were in the middle of renovating the place, and on the basis of my room experiences, it really needed it. I looked here through a good number of the photos people have posted on this hotel, and I recognize a number of the public areas. In general, these rooms look so much better now. They definitely needed a lot of work, but I can’t forget the awful experience I had staying here years ago. It ruined my time in this town. One last comment: this hotel has no pool.
