This was a great experience! The hotel is a historical beauty, great location, nice breakfast.
The only thing that bothered a lot was awful street noice. It was Friday night, so some people outside were hanging around till late night, sometimes screaming like crazy. We closed the windows and shutters, it didn’t help. We had a corner room on the 1st floor.

We only know this is the oldest hotel in Italy and was very surprise and happy to stay at this hotel. A lot of antique and aged items on display, and good for photo shooting. Location is very near to leaning tower of Pisa which is walking distance.

Love the Victorian vibes. Location is amazing very near tourist spots and breakfast was great. There’s also a lovely Gelato place just a couple of blocks from the hotel.

Positive:
- walking distance (15min to the tower)
- right by the river front
- relatively cheap
- friendly front desk

Negative:
- rooms are tiny, most don't have any view
- not only completely unrenovated in the past 20 years but also dirt in all corners. It's safe to say this hotel has seen better decades.
- black mold in the shower
- our room door has a slit so big that all the sound from the hallway got in.
- breakfast not recommended

Great location with river view but you have to keep in mind originally building was built 1050 and terribly outdated. Crack and dent everywhere. However breakfast is good enough.

Stayed at hotel 3 years ago but it has deteriorated a lot since then. Bedroom window wouldn't open and wooden frames were rotting. Very old mattress with no protector. Power points didn't take British adaptors. Bathroom very antiquated. Staff were very helpful and pleasant

Locate beside the river with the nice view. 10 mins walk from the station but very close to restaurant. 15 mins walk to Pisa tower. Staff is very nice. Room is a bit old but look like having history in it.

The best location, overlooking the river, near all the restaurants and bars and just a 10 minute walk to the leaning tower. The property is very historic and the rooms, while clean are period style and lack some of the finer touches.

The hotel is quite grand and feels very historic, with oil paintings and pianos dotted throughout. I booked a room by the river, and the view was absolutely lovely. The front desk staff were also very thoughtful, providing a map and even highlighting various attractions for me. The only real headache was the toilet flush – the button was incredibly stiff and hard to control, making my finger sore from pressing it so hard. Despite this minor issue, the overall experience was still very good.
