I was very impressed!!! The hotel is great, the staff are great and very kind. The location is also good, although it's a bit far from the station, but there's a shuttle service from the hotel
The room was comfortable, but the central air conditioning was a bit cold at night, and it was difficult to find staff at night. It's close to the ski resort, which is good.
Overall experience was good. But the hotel Did not send my snowboard out an left it there for 3 days until I called.
You can ask the staff to pick you up or drop you off. The hotel is beautiful and right next to the Hakuba Goryo Iimori ski resort, just 10 steps away! 😂😂😂 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Great location. Very reasonable price. Thank you. I'll come back in the winter to ski. Thank you.
The hotel is quite old and there is not much kind of food for breakfast. However, all of staff is helpful and the location is so close to ski resort.

The cabin itself was amazing, easily big enough for the four of us - two beds upstairs on a mezzanine and two bed downstairs, a living room with flat screen interactive TV, fridge and kettle, plus a good bathroom and shower+bath
Best location and hospitality you could ask for, the hosts will go above and beyond for the guests and the food is also spot on. Highly recommend
Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a wonderful variety of high-quality, delicious food. It quickly became something we genuinely looked forward to every day and set the perfect tone for skiing
We stayed for 5 nights in one of the two cabins and the place was perfect for a family of four. The stay started with excellent, informative messages and answers we received before arriving
The hotel staff were amazingly helpful - they helped organise the ski rental (ski company came to pick us up and take us to the shop for skis, boots, helmets and clothing) and they arranged for rental company to pick up gear from hotel at end of stay
Also, they were able to supply discounted ski passes at the front desk and the shuttle bus for the Iimori slopes left from outside the hotel - this was great as our kids did group ski classes there everyday

We really loved our stay here for 5 nights in February. Cozy, friendly and a super well organised set up for skiers and boarders (including arrival pick up and drop off from bus stop)
Huge drying room - the hotel was fully booked and still lots of space, plus warm dry boots every morning! The hot spring bath is kept super clean in great working order and temperature, but this also depends on the other guests (ie leaving things open, not washing first)
The indoor and outdoor bathing is chlorinated, but amazing to soak the muscles at the end of a day on the slopes. Five shower stations, enough space for 5+ people per onsen and sauna, but rarely busy
Our western frames aren't made for easily getting up and down on the floor, but we made do, and the cozy tatami mats, plus mountain view, table, TV and great heating were totally worth it
While not entirely ski out (ski in could work with enough speed and snow conditions), a 2 minute skate-ski and 3 minute road walk put you at the base of the gondola
At the hotel uou could buy a lift card with 1 day on for Iwatake, then top up online each day for any resort (use the number on the front of the card)

Nice. The staff has a good attitude. The location is within walking distance to the cable car. The room is big enough.
Great Breakfast! About 7 minute walk (With ski equipment) to the chairlift. Rooms were nice. Good Stay
A good value option: nice location and appearance, parking available and hot springs, friendly staff, and convenient access to Hachihochi Pond.
I assumed there were no toothbrushes for environmental reasons, but there were no combs, shavers, or shower caps, but even the most basic cotton swabs? Hot Springs: It's not an open-air bath at all, just on the terrace
The view in front of the hotel is very beautiful.
There was no drinking water on my first visit! Breakfast: It's only one hour, from 7:30 to 8:30, with limited variety and portions. It was cleared right away at 8:30, and my table was cleared before I even finished

Tony and his staff made us feel at home as soon as we walked through the door. They made sure we knew all the tricks to getting around the village for food and extra ski gear, knowledge is king
I loved having a beer at the bar and a chat about where to ski/snowboard or eat. Nothing was too much trouble for the crew! They have a shuttle to take you out for meals at their restaurant’s throughout the village
I highly recommend the Berg-land Hotel for anyone seeking a warm, inviting, and well-maintained place to stay. I will certainly be staying there again on my next visit to Hakuba
The location of the hotel is perfect. Close to the bus terminal made it so easy. We didn’t have a car during our stay and it was easy to walk for food and drinks
The rooms are traditional Japanese style, warm and opening widows for fresh air. Drying room is large with plenty of room for everyone to spread out their gear
We particularly enjoyed the bar and the gaming zone, where guests can gather to enjoy books, video games, board games, and other activities

Hotel close to everything , restaurants all around. Shuttle takes you to the gondola to and from or you can walk. Happo bus stop is literally 3 mins walk to take shuttle to the other mountains
What a lovely traditional hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great onsen. Delightful, helpful staff. We loved the hotel
Breakfast was extensive with traditional Japanese options and also more western options depending on your tastes. About a 10 minute walk to the slopes, and located close to many cute restaurants in Happo Village
There is also hot spring available in the hotel which is hard to hard in the area After a long day of ski nothing beats a long soak in the hot spring. Breakfast is amazing , everyday you get served something different
Fantastic stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Their kindness and professionalism truly made a difference. Highly recommend!
Great location with easy access to everything. Breakfast has enough choices from both western and Japanese foods and we eat there everyday. Generous shuttle bus time frame to Happo one

The cooked breakfast every morning was amazing & we also dined in the restaurant a few nights when we couldn’t be bothered going out again. All our meals were delicious & the kids agree they made the best hot chocolates
The White Horse has wonderful people with exceptional customer service. Perfectly centrally located in hakuba valley for skiing. They provide transportation to and from the 10 local resorts every day
5 days into the trip he has invited us along to one of his road trips. Up early and out the door to what both of us have agreed to as our best day ever on the snow. Apparently Tony hears that a lot
The drying room was perfectly located and worked a treat, and the onsen was a lovely bonus. We were even lucky enough to have a private onsen one evening, which was an unforgettable experience
Everyone genuinely seemed to be having a great time, which made the stay even more special. We will definitely be back, assuming we can get a booking next time before it is fully booked out
The rooms were comfortable, warm, and quiet, and we slept like logs every night. There was also a fantastic atmosphere throughout the hotel, with a jovial vibe among both guests and staff

All was fine, friendly stuff, nice breakfast, good facilities
If I have the opportunity to visit Hakuba again, I would definitely stay at this hotel. • The room was spacious and well-equipped, and the shared microwave and kitchen in the hallway were very convenient
The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the water was too hot on the first day and we couldn't use the hot spring, but the next morning it was just the right temperature and we were able to enjoy a pleasant soak
Other than the spaciousness and the view, highlights were the onsen in the basement - glorious after a day of skiing - and the breakfast buffet, included in the price. The buffet was a mix of western and Japanese food
It's close to Hakuba Happo-one and just a five-minute drive from Hakuba Iwatake, making it a great location for ski season. Because we stayed during the off-season, there weren't many other guests and it was quiet
We had a Japanese room for 3 persons - tatami mats and comfy, if a bit thin, futons. The room was very spacious with a little sitting area, and a bathroom area that was separated from the main area

Highly recommended!!!! Room Tip: Rooms on top floor front are quieter I visited back in 2011, then followed in up much later. They were so good with customer service, the remembered my name
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Mont Blanc. The staff were so accommodating and helpful, assisting us with everything we needed to know about our stay in Hakuba from lift passes, to travel and other activities
Stayed for 4 nights in a traditional style room. The pads were by far the thickest and comfiest I’ve had during my whole trip in Japan. The breakfast every morning was excellent and filling
They have a free shuttle during ski season that will take you up to the base if you don’t want to walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in Hakuba!
The onsen facilities are simple but hit the spot after snowboarding. It is located just down the hill from the Goryu Escal Plaza base area, a 10 minute walk
Theres also daily scheduled free shuttle bus to Escal Plaza in the morning and 7-11 at night. We couldn't have asked for a better experience

Probably one of the best lodging experiences I've ever had. The women running the place are an absolute joy and went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay
The daily Japanese-style breakfast is fantastic and the on-site Onsen is a highlight. I'd go out of my way to stay here again
This place is certainly a hidden gem and would recommend to friends and family travelling to the area. Would recommend walking to “Echo Land” in the evenings for dinner as the Happo village is a little sleepy at night
Wish I could give this hotel 10 stars. The hospitality was matched by a 5 star hotel. We came to learn that the two women working are sisters and they’re the fifth generation in their family running the business
Great place to stay for ski holidays in Hakuba!! Amazing services: walking distance from all shop, ski rental, Lawson, restaurant, bus terminal, and ski lift. You will be welcomed by two fabulous ladies
The rooms are a “authentic” experience with beds on the floor which adds to the experience. Beds were very comfortable, views out the window(that open if you want fresh air), rooms were very clean

Love everything this rokyan has to offer from the service to the food and location. It’s not difficult to find and within walking distance still even if you lug luggage, the road is not rocky or too many obstacles
The owner family gave us an experience that we could never get at a corporate-owned hotel. The ryokan must have been built over half a century ago, yet it is so clean. No mold on the grout lines in the bathrooms
May made our visit so superb, discount lift tickets to Happo pond, dinner reservations @ Zen Soba restaurant, shuttle to train station. As I learned during our stay, the experience was truly “ Subarashii”
We are beyond happy to have chosen a ryokan, specifically SHIROUMA-SO, to stay. We were lucky to have a glimpse into the Japanese tradition of living and working
Quite a few interesting things to look at and shop or eat along the way including a stop at snow peak
Delicious chilled Buckwheat tea daily in lobby! Onsen was the highlight…very quiet and relaxing

Breakfast and dinner were included in our reservation and it was so good. Rooms were Tatami style and cool to experience as an American. I would definitely book with them again!
We are from New Zealand and we have a ski addiction and this Hotel will cover all your needs it’s really close to the snow you have good transport options and there is also a good amount of places near by to eat out
Small neat clean . Well priced Friendly and helpful . See Jun very helpful . Breakfast was excellent included in room price!
, the service is warm :) We Stayed in this hotel for less than a week and its was a very comfortable stay , very near to the slope and bars and places you need to go when in hakuba, on our last day , we checked out of the hotel and forgot my money under the bed (more or less than( ¥150000), i called the manager at the hotel and luckily HE found it under the beddings and even though IM FAR already...
Each morning you will be welcomed by the awesome staff at Hakuba Park Hotel for a great breakfast. They will get your lift passes sorted and a discounted price for you a bus runs past the Hotel that will pick you up
The inside of the hotel was beautiful and there was a drying room, so I was able to spend a comfortable time. Certainly I will not leave my luggage, but I used it because there is a locker at Escal Plaza

Top spot for the nearby lift and luckily there is ski hire and a great pub nearby, not so good if you want to move around hakuba, as transport in hakuba valley is messy and difficult.
Excellent hospitality and great accomodation for groups or family
Dry room excellent as is free use of laundry
Location wise it is near to Lawson as a convenient store and you can head out to town to get groceries as well. Nearby you can find plenty of soba restaurants (do check/call first for reservation)
The chalet could fit so many of us and it was a pleasant stay with many facilities such as a bath, laundry (wash and dryer), a fully functioning kitchen
Great chalet located so near to so many things. Went there recently to cycle at Iwatake and it was a short ride from Wadano Woods to the bike park

The drying room was also a very nice touch which is not that commonly found in other types of winter accommodations and was such a wonderful quality of life improvement when it came to hanging and drying our snow gear overnight
We stayed as a group of 6 for a ski holiday recently. The HHG group were very prompt with their communications. The house was beautifully appointed and warm. It was peaceful and the location was close to town
Located in a tranquil yet central area of Hakuba, Wagaya was a great place to stay for our group of 4. The fully equipped kitchen was perfect for meal preparation and daily Apres-Ski
Had the most wonderful stay at Wagaya with my family! The house was spacious, impeccably clean, comfortable, and conveniently located just a 3 minute drive from our ski resort
Special mention to the heated floor - it felt AMAZING after a long day skiing in the cold
Every one loved the house and the morning views from the windows are breathtaking

Overall, it is very good! Consider staying here if you have the opportunity to come to Hakuba!
Meteor is one of the coziest lodging spots I’ve ever stayed at! I’m a sucker for fleece bedding, and they had exactly that. Meteor has a shared kitchen for people to store, heat, and eat food
I booked Meteor on Agoda, where Meteor messaged me a lot of key information such as: - food and ski rental recommendations - reminding me to making reservations for dinner, because apparently, restaurants in Hakuba book out at dinner time - reminding me to make shuttle / taxi accommodations I greatly appreciated this, as it made my planning much easier
We had dinner at meteor and it’s the most lovely vibe. The udon is the best we’ve had all trip - friendly staff and you just can’t walk away from a meal here unhappy - perfect post skiing wholesome dinner
Absolutely wonderful We stayed here as part of a longer trip in Japan for our honeymoon. Chika was excellent at communicating before we arrived and was so friendly and welcoming
The staff is very friendly and gives very good advice on what to do around the area

It is conveniently located at the bottom of the Sakka ski lifts, with plenty of shuttles available to take you to the other lifts and mountains. There are also a good range of food options around the apartments
so close to the easy Ski Fields, has its own ski hire shop and close to so many great restaurants (especially rabbit hole!) + the snow was so fantastic and pure powder! I would also like to call out the Hotel Manager - Tony who personally drove me into town to get a last-minute Christmas present for my son (which turned out to be fantastic
This leads me to the HHG, a huge variety of yummy restaurants and beautiful accommodation around the Hakuba valley area with fantastic transport arrangements to the local shop and around hakuba for internal HHG guests
Koharu’s location although just out of the main Happo area, is just a 2 minute walk to Sakka slope which was super convenient. Absolutely recommend staying at Koharu resort for your next stay, I know we will be back
Good location, Hakuba 47 shuttle bus is just in front of the hotel, close to Happo-one chairlift (3mins walk to Sakka slope) and bus stop that can take you to other ski resorts
Could not rate this accomodation higher. We had a fantastic stay at Koharu resort hotel and suites. Our studio room was clean, spacious and full of amenities required for self sufficient living on your stay

Owners truly care about their guests here and take great care of you. When I checked out this morning, the owner offered to drive us to the bus station free of charge to make sure we could make it back to Tokyo on time
The CUTEST home to stay in, super cosy and welcoming, close to so many restaurants and bars. Easy bus close by to the slopes and we walked from the train station which took about 30 mins, but an easy and scenic walk
Very clean inside all communal areas, obviously checked and tidied daily as well. Hot bath was awesome after the snow. When we arrived, Masuda explained all the local options and shops he knows about
Fantastic stay as 3 Aussies staying for the snow. Rooms are simple with everything you need, heating was great. Communal bathrooms, but plenty of cubicles. I never had to wait for the shower either
We loved our stay at Pension Marionette in January 2026. Lovely atmosphere and great location, close to everything. We felt like we were staying at someone's home, not a hotel. It was great.
The owner showed us all the amenities, the dry room and was very welcoming! Every morning he greeted my friends and I and it genuinely felt like I was staying with a family member
