Great Breakfast! About 7 minute walk (With ski equipment) to the chairlift. Rooms were nice. Good Stay

Great spa and good location.

A good value option: nice location and appearance, parking available and hot springs, friendly staff, and convenient access to Hachihochi Pond.

Every day, there were over ten bugs, each larger than a ¥500 coin, scurrying around the room!
On the walls, curtains, mattress, countertop, and even in my luggage!
I've stayed in over fifty hotels in Japan, and this is the only one I absolutely will not stay in again.
Location: Every hotel in Hakuba is near a ski resort, so that's not a plus. The hotel has parking, and when I checked in, the staff seemed to ask me to give them my car keys. What? Did I hear that correctly? What for? Of course I didn't!
Service: Terrible! I'm sure no one in Hakuba is a business traveler; even Japanese people are there for tourism. Yet, the staff, young and old, were so dismissive. If they hate tourists so much, why would they still work in the service industry?
Amenities: There seems to be a dry room, which is nice for skiers. But this hotel has no personal amenities besides shampoo, shower gel, and a mouthwash cup. I assumed there were no toothbrushes for environmental reasons, but there were no combs, shavers, or shower caps, but even the most basic cotton swabs?
Hot Springs: It's not an open-air bath at all, just on the terrace. The walls are covered in spiderwebs, with live spiders moving around and dead cockroaches. So disgusting! The dead cockroach was still there on our second night. So, how clean is this hot spring? Also, don't expect anything like facial cleanser or moisturizer, as there wasn't even basic water or cotton swabs. There was no drinking water on my first visit!
Breakfast: It's only one hour, from 7:30 to 8:30, with limited variety and portions. It was cleared right away at 8:30, and my table was cleared before I even finished. Are they really that rushed?
I can't find any reason to stay here again!

This place was great! The staff were exceptional and very friendly and fun. Rooms were great with everything you needed, and quite big with a separatetatami room, and the beds were comfy. I didn't try the onsen, but other guests said it was excellent. Great location near everything and about an 8 min walk to Happo One ski resort, and even less walk to Hakuba Valley bus near Nakayama slope. Breakfast was a highlight, lots of choice and delicious...runs from 715 to 830, and each room has their own dedicated table, which was a nice touch. A couple of things that they could improve on is the drying room wasn't warm enough and wouldn't really dry anything, they did have a boot drying rack where they rotated boots, but we dried our stuff in our room so it was fine. The fan in the shower/toilet was non-existent. The wifi was a little flaky but worked well enough. I would definitely stay here again, we had an excellent time

So many 5 star things, so many 2 star things. The location is absolutely amazing, 10/5, the views are incredible and, since it is off the road, you don't hear snow plows! You can also just walk out the door to go to Happo-one! This place is definitely worth it. That said, electrical is sketchy, Wi-Fi is bad, beds are a bit hard, and the restaurant is just ok, but the breakfast is fantastic. Well worth staying here despite any negatives.

Really great place to stay with excellent people . the food is good, the location is good. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The private bathrooms remind me of a bathroom in a recreational vehicle. Small but functional. If you are focused on being outside skiing or hiking this is a very good place to stay.
