In house ski rental : it’s good that there is one onsite. However the service was less than desirable. Rented a snowboard and requested for regular stance, the young guy provided a goofy stance set up

The hotel's European castle-style design is grand and impressive, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The public onsen bath is perfect for relaxation, and the breakfast buffet offers a rich and diverse selection

There are three restaurants to choose from within the hotel, but unfortunately, one was under renovation this time. The hotel's hot spring provides a wonderfully relaxing space after a day of skiing

The hotel offers fridge rental service, and during ski season, there's a free shuttle bus to major ski resorts, making transportation quite convenient

The experience was very good, especially the service of the male waiter at the front desk (didn't remember his name), which was very heartwarming

Room was clean, a bit small for what we booked. Breakfast was okay, mix of Japanese and Western. The onsen was the real highlight — so refreshing after a day out. Even without snow, Mominoki was a great base

And he took the initiative to say that it was not easy for us to bring children, and he would definitely try his best to help us call a car

Stayed late June to see the stunning Itawake view. No skiing, just soaking in Hakuba’s nature. Hotel was peaceful, surrounded by trees — perfect for relaxing walks. Staff were friendly and super helpful

This European-style ski hotel is located in the forest. There are few guests in the off-season. The hotel's French food is good, but the decoration is a bit old.

The lobby is cozy with a fireplace for roasting marshmallows, the restaurant picturesqe with surround glass windows to watch the snow fall during dinner, the rooms are spacious, clean and lovely with deep plunge tubs for soaking at the end of the day

In the morning they lay out your Ski/Snowboard gear with warm boots they prepared over night, they help you get to the ski slopes, driving you or getting you on the right shuttles

The coffee was good too, and they offered various egg rolls. The room itself was quite spacious; we had no trouble fitting our two large suitcases

The best part about this hotel was definitely the breakfast – they had everything from Japanese to Western options. I especially loved the soba noodles and the fried eggs

The room was great, and the service was excellent. The hotel provided complimentary pick-up and drop-off for check-in and check-out, and they also offered a morning shuttle bus to the main attractions in Hakuba Village.

The food is delicious. The large bathhouse is not a hot spring, but it is OK and clean. The staff are quite professional and the service is good. Among the several chains, the Baima one has the best value for money.

Good, the buffet was delicious. Clean and hygienic. Transportation is a bit inconvenient, mainly because it's a bit far from the Happo Bus Station and JR Station, but it's very close to Gongdola, which is good.

Good location, 2 mins walking distance to evergreen ski school and the 4 mins saka beginner lifts of happo one. Cheap buffet dinner 1080 yen per person with drinks including beer and wine included

Their pillows feel like worthy of $10 value. The bathroom area is not dimmable. The check-out time is at 10am unless you pay 2000yen per hour haha for longer time. Breakfast is only until 9:30am haha

The shrimp on the second day wasn't fresh, and the chef wasn't very friendly when they brought out a replacement dish. This restaurant seriously dragged down my overall hotel experience

We stayed as a group of 6. Very comfortable, spacious, modern and well equipped place. Nice drying room. Subscriptions on TV. Excellent value compared to equal places in Australia (probably around half the price)

(Apparently they will stop this due to COVID but I hope they don't because it really sets them apart from the others!). The accom is only 6 mins from Happo bus terminal but it is uphill on return

Amazing accommodation, clean, heated floors, well equipped kitchen. Has a ensuite in the master bed, and then seperate bathroom and toilet. Large drying room with washer and dryer

Staff were friendly and responsive on whatsapp and email. Provided shuttle pick-up and drop off too on arrival/departure. 100% would recommend this accommodation

Tea coffee, detergent, washing powder included. They also provided a van which was invaluable for getting around Hakuba

We had a very pleasant stay at hotel oak forest. The rooms are quite big and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is a bit small but the shower is nice

The only recommendation I would make for this place is to maybe replace the carpet in the hallways and common area due to a bit of a smoky musty smell. And saying this our house was very clean

We actually really enjoyed this stay - it was one of the only resorts left in echoland with availability, but it exceeded our expectations

The shuttle service to happo one ski area is good and always on time and they also have a shuttle service to spicy echoland ski rentals which is very convenient! You can even drop of your rental gear at the hotel and the rental shop will pick it up without you having to worry about bringing it back yourself

Rooms were huge, the shuttle bus stop was exactly in front of the door and the staff at the lobby were so so friendly :) yes the hotel it’s a bit old fashioned in style, but nevertheless we had a great ski trip here

Had a really good stay at Oak Forest. Stay accommodated for English speaking guests and assist with luggage hold on day of check in and out. Breakfast provided was really good

Dinner was very good, very delicious, but you have to rush with the time. Breakfast may be less than dinner but there is a lot. It is a hotel that maintains Japanese culture

The hotel's dinner is a buffet, with all-you-can-eat sashimi and sushi, and you can enjoy the snow-capped mountain scenery from the restaurant window. Hotel guests can soak in the open-air hot spring for free

The open-air hot spring faces the snow-capped mountains. There is ice water in the refrigerator in the room, which is not very considerate. The hotel has a sense of history and has many works of art

The good thing is that the hot spring water, especially the open-air bath, was smooth and the quality was better than I expected

The balcony overlooks the mountains. The hot spring is nice and empty. The curtains are too transparent and it is very bright in the early morning

The interior of the B&B smells of cypress, and the B&B is well maintained. The Japanese-style breakfast is delicious with Western food

You can still hear the collision sound next door, but some hotels can also hear the sound from next door, which is acceptable to us

Treasure Hotel, the boss couple are very nice, basically meet all the requirements (including ski resort pick-up and early use of hot springs), the hotel layout is very cozy, many small details make people feel very warm, including the freedom to enjoy the massage chair after soaking in the hot springs, and free popsicles

She drove us to a place where my sons could play with the snow just beside a river and also she drove us the Happo One ski resort. She also arranged someone to pick us up and sent us back to the hotel

As it was our first time went to a place with snow, we did not know that we had to wear googles to prevent snow blindness. Luckily, they had spare googles and lent them to each of us

There are onsen, washing machines, drying machines, free ice creams and nice massage chairs as well. The hotel rooms are very clean. The staff are very friendly and courteous

If you are looking for an easy access to the mountains at a good price it is the place to go. The room was very clean and the mattress very comfortable

This youth hostel is run by *********. The atmosphere is very good, but the service staff told me the wrong direction to Hakuba Jr Bus Station, which made me wait for 35 more minutes in the heavy snow.

Rooms and amenities are clean and well maintained, the one issue is that it’s not well marked on Google map as it keeps pointing to the restaurant which was not opened and gave us a false alarm

We had a room w/out bathrooms so we used the common bathroom and it was very clean and organized, they provided you with towels, shampoo, conditioners and soap like any hotel bathroom would

The best thing about this hotel is that it has their own onsen and you can go down as many times as you want, definitely a plus after a full day of skiing

The reception man - who studied in Texas - is an absolute treasure for the hotel. He will tell you everything and help you figure out what you need to have a good time here!

The hotel has its own lift to get you on the hill that also has the Plaza ski lift on it. Food; breakfast is a smorgasbord, with no heating trays, so everything is cold! (I hate cold eggs and sausage!) Beds are good

Ultimately it comes down to price and what you are after, this is a primary Ski based hotel, 10 metres away from the nearest ski lift. It’s a bit dated and worn, but if you’re there for the snow it’s good

I’m prime on an electric wheelchair- there is an elevator! But there are stairs before you can get to it! I was ok as my chair folds and can be walked like a suitcase! Dinner / breakfast was in a separate building - more stairs- breakfast was free, dinner is $5000yen $50 Cnd

The location is probably perfect in winter, but in the summer it is not close to anything. The good part is that the owner offers a pick-up service sometimes

The drying room was also a very nice touch which is not that commonly found in other types of winter accommodations and was such a wonderful quality of life improvement when it came to hanging and drying our snow gear overnight

Located in a tranquil yet central area of Hakuba, Wagaya was a great place to stay for our group of 4. The fully equipped kitchen was perfect for meal preparation and daily Apres-Ski

Had the most wonderful stay at Wagaya with my family! The house was spacious, impeccably clean, comfortable, and conveniently located just a 3 minute drive from our ski resort

The hotel was built in an older era, so the facilities are not comparable to those of newer hotels. However, the sanitation condition is okay, the service is full marks, and the overall stay experience is still very good

The Shadian building is full of European style. Upon arrival, a hotel attendant will introduce in detail the services provided by the hotel, and provide hot tea and snacks, which is full of ritual and warmth

As for the food, the breakfast in the morning only had American and Pancake sets to choose from, and the taste was average. For the Japanese food in the hotel that night, I ordered Shabu Shabu

The hotel thoughtfully sent a special car and luggage to the station for free. The service provided by the Japanese is worth learning from the service industry in Hong Kong

We stayed in the Aoi room - very spacious and has million dollar views of the mountains across the valley. Particularly liked having lots of comfortable common areas to hangout or do work

Very nice modern and minimalist hotel in the centre of Happo, a short walk from the bus terminal and the gondola. Good strong hot showers and excellent drying lockers for your snow gear

Wifi on the 3rd floor dropped out constantly and was almost unusable, and breakfast was poor with stone cold eggs and other cooked breakfast items which was very unappetising

6 course dinner and set breakfast at Gio Italian restaurant at the hotel were wonderful, with attentive service from the manager of the restaurant Valerio. Overall, it was an excellent experience

The hotel is quite old and there is not much kind of food for breakfast. However, all of staff is helpful and the location is so close to ski resort.

The cabin itself was amazing, easily big enough for the four of us - two beds upstairs on a mezzanine and two bed downstairs, a living room with flat screen interactive TV, fridge and kettle, plus a good bathroom and shower+bath

Best location and hospitality you could ask for, the hosts will go above and beyond for the guests and the food is also spot on. Highly recommend

Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a wonderful variety of high-quality, delicious food. It quickly became something we genuinely looked forward to every day and set the perfect tone for skiing

We stayed for 5 nights in one of the two cabins and the place was perfect for a family of four. The stay started with excellent, informative messages and answers we received before arriving

The hotel staff were amazingly helpful - they helped organise the ski rental (ski company came to pick us up and take us to the shop for skis, boots, helmets and clothing) and they arranged for rental company to pick up gear from hotel at end of stay

Also, they were able to supply discounted ski passes at the front desk and the shuttle bus for the Iimori slopes left from outside the hotel - this was great as our kids did group ski classes there everyday
