Hakuba Mominoki Hotel, Hakuba1 / 30

Hakuba, 4683-2 Wadano Hakuba 🧭 Map
Hakuba isn't very big; the town area is just a few streets. The hotel is on a small hill, and there are several other hotels nearby, which provide the lighting for the entire hill. There are no convenience stores nearby. The hotel offers Japanese-style rooms, which I chose. The downside is that you have to make your own bed, which might be too much for older people. There were many elderly people and...
Stayed late June to see the stunning Itawake view. No skiing, just soaking in Hakuba’s nature. Hotel was peaceful, surrounded by trees — perfect for relaxing walks. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Room was clean, a bit small for what we booked. Breakfast was okay, mix of Japanese and Western. The onsen was the real highlight — so refreshing after a day out. Even without snow, Mominoki was a...
We had a wonderful time. Our plans were canceled due to the rain, but the hotel was great. I'd love to stay here again. Thank you for your help.
The room is old, but the ski location is good
I am very satisfied with this hotel, the location is great, the staff is friendly and the room is comfortable. The room was very comfortable in terms of lighting, temperature and bedding. I would especially like to praise the housekeeping sister for keeping the room very clean. The room has two terraces, one of which overlooks the Happo-One Ski Resort. We stayed for six nights and the breakfast food...
The experience was very good, especially the service of the male waiter at the front desk (didn't remember his name), which was very heartwarming. After checking out, we needed to take a taxi to another B&B, but because it happened to be the weekend and the birthday of the king, and it was snowing all the time, the entire Hakuba car resources were in short supply. It was this waiter who insisted on...

Large room, nice place, clean and quite. But my room is far from the lobby. If you have a heavy baggages, not easy (there’re few stairs before elevator)
The food is delicious. The large bathhouse is not a hot spring, but it is OK and clean. The staff are quite professional and the service is good. Among the several chains, the Baima one has the best value for money.
Good, the buffet was delicious. Clean and hygienic. Transportation is a bit inconvenient, mainly because it's a bit far from the Happo Bus Station and JR Station, but it's very close to Gongdola, which is good.
Nice & clean…staff are very friendly Highly recommended
The food was delicious, and the front desk service was also good. The only minor issue was that I couldn't adjust the air conditioning temperature.
A bit small, but close enough 1The hotel is small, but the location is superb! You can see the landmarks when you open the window, and walk to the popular check-in spots in a few minutes. It is a perfect experience for both traveling and sightseeing!

Absolutely awesome hotel, great breakfast, beautiful Onsen, 5 min walk to a Happo lift and great rooms. An easy 5/5! Bonus points for 200 yen massage chairs!!
Stayed here for 8 nights, the hotel staff are super friendly! The onsen is excellent and breakfast has a good variety, close to Iimori and hakuba 47 bus stop and short walk to the local Happo lift. Perfect spot. The only recommendation i would ha e for the hotel is to have a Room tvs that have access to streaming services such as netflix or phone projection connectivity. Would 100% stay here again...
Amazing place to stay in Hakuba Happo area to snowboard. Our room was spacious and clean with a great view. Bathroom was a bit small but nothing out of the ordinary. The public onsen was wonderful, with a beautiful Roten (outdoor) bath - would definitely recommend staying here just for one night to experience the bath. Plenty of option at breakfast (Western & Japanese). Food was made fresh. Staff were...
I stayed there 15 years ago. Very nice and spacious indoor and outdoor onsen. Walking distance to ski resort and cable car. Beautiful mountain view in winter. I remember three strong impressions. (1) We missed the train at Shimano and took a taxi to get there, reaching at midnight. The ons was already closing but the staff allowed my family to bath there. (2) My sisters woke up late but they went...
Great breakfast and super comfy rooms. Staff and onsen were amazing
The rooms are lovely, we had views and lots of space for a family. The staff was fantastic and the food at the hotel was outstanding. Happy hour for 500Y was a very nice touch. Any issue and you are well looked after; here you will find the flexibility that a westerner appreciates but sometimes finds lacking in Japan. Will definitely be back again!

We actually really enjoyed this stay - it was one of the only resorts left in echoland with availability, but it exceeded our expectations. Rooms were huge, the shuttle bus stop was exactly in front of the door and the staff at the lobby were so so friendly :) yes the hotel it’s a bit old fashioned in style, but nevertheless we had a great ski trip here
We had a very pleasant stay at hotel oak forest. The rooms are quite big and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is a bit small but the shower is nice. The breakfast was good. The staff is very helpful even though they don't speak english very well. However with hands and some google translate we figured it out. The shuttle service to happo one ski area is good and always on time and they also have...
Had a really good stay at Oak Forest. Stay accommodated for English speaking guests and assist with luggage hold on day of check in and out. Breakfast provided was really good. Onsen was a welcome part of the stay after a day of ski. Location is a bit inconvenient as it requires a decent walk or taxi to main bus terminal and other resorts. But there is accessible restaurants in walking decent to...
Affordable and great value for money. It has all the basic services, and the room is spacious. There's a shuttle bus that runs periodically, but it's more convenient if you drive yourself.
Although it's a bit far out, it's easy to find if you're driving, and they offer a shuttle service. Don't expect too much from the breakfast and dinner, as they're pretty standard. However, there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The on-site public bath is fantastic for soaking in after a day of skiing!
Convenient. Have pick up for arrival and bus to various ski resort just at door of hotel. Gd onsen to use.

We enjoyed our stay in Villa G but were disappointed in the lack of clarity of the location of the villa. We read all the print of the booking but apparently missed text on a photo stating that the villas were located far away from the hotel. Due to this location, we had a 30 minute walk to one shuttle bus and over a 45 minute walk to restaurants in Echoland, and the hotel provided no shuttle anywhere...
Stayed at Reposer Hakuba in Nagano and had a great experience. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious and a perfect start to the day. Would happily stay here again.
Reposer cabin cottage is a winter/summer house. There is a small natural stream right at the back, which is great. The cabin is a bit worn but it still has all it takes to provide a great accommodation. Location wise, you need a car in hakuba to move around anyway so the distance to anything is not to concern. Its a 5 min drive to everything. The service is hugely great. The staff is very helpful....
They refuse to provide service to pick up us at JR station with reason peak season although it shows the have pick up service when we booked hotel. There is a pick-up service to the ski resort, which needs to be booked in advance. It is very convenient. It can also pick up and drop off at the bus station and other places. The service is very good. Breakfast and bar drinks also need to be confirmed in advance.
The appearance of the hotel is very beautiful, which is one of the places that attracted me to book. The interior is very rural, simple and tidy. I highly recommend this hotel for skiing and mountaineering.

Great place to stay . Family room for 5 was great. Staff awesome absolutely recommend to all.
Hakuba Ryujin Onsen was our favorite hotel during our two-week trip to Japan. It has a wonderful traditional Japanese feel paired beautifully with modern styling. We stayed in one of the exterior rooms with four bunk beds, a comfortable living space, and a bathroom—perfect for our family of four. Everything was clean, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. We especially loved relaxing in the onsen...

Good place to stay for snowboarding in hakuba
Room is quite old but clean. There were dinner and breakfast dinner included which were authentic japanese food. We love spending time here. The view was so stunning.
Dinner was very good, very delicious, but you have to rush with the time. Breakfast may be less than dinner but there is a lot. It is a hotel that maintains Japanese culture. The ingredients are local. It is not luxurious but warm.
There is a shuttle service. I really like the hot springs here. You can soak in the hot springs while enjoying the beautiful scenery. There is also a shuttle bus to the ski resort. The only downside is that there are almost no restaurants and convenience stores around. But there is a microwave.
Public bath broke down - hot water not hire enough .  This is winter . In the room , the hot water from the tap water is not hot enough . It takes a long time for the water to become hot .  Room is very cold
The view is very beautiful. You can see the snowy mountains in Panorama from the hotel. The onsen is very good. It helps to relax after skiing. The room is clean but the design is quite old. And there are few amenities. Overall, it is a suitable place to stay for those who want to experience the nature of Hakuba. There is a lot of parking.

As a traditional Ryokan lover, Hifumi ticks almost all the spots. Onsen, Clean tatami and bedding, Japandi calm and quiet. Lovely family run hotel in the wonderful Hakuba. Given this was our first time skiing, we really appreciated how much Monica and the team when above and beyond for us. I had a wonderful stay in Hakuba Yamano Hotel. The hotel owners are very friendly and helpful. My son left his backpack in Shirakawago. Very nice place to stay! We stayed here for 4 nights during our snow trip. Kettle and microwave available in the room. Provide free brekkie during your stay. Laundry facilities available (2 washing machine and 2 dryer) Onsen and locker room available however there's a charge for it (we paid 1200 yen for 2 people for 4 nights which is acceptable! )
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly. There's a self-service UCC coffee machine in the lobby with free refills. The breakfast spread was excellent, and the large windows offered fantastic views of the snowy landscape. Our room was fully equipped for cooking, with a stove, sink, microwave, fridge, and kettle – everything you need to prepare your own dinner if you're on vacation. If you're driving...
Service in general is good, except manner of one young man who’s rude, while another westerner-looking gentleman is very helpful and nice!
My wife and I had an excellent stay at hotel hakuba. It was easy for us to access the neighbouring ski resorts using the free shuttle bus provided by the ski resorts. The breakfast had a good spread and an even better view. One negative feedback is that the beds in the double room is quite uncomfortable.
Amazing hotel, breakfast and dinner options were great! We stayed in winter and the view from our room was breathtaking
A no frills hotel though the location is quite good. Hotel staff was not very helpful when we were struggling with big luggages and they stood there watching us with smiles! 😂

We really loved our stay at the Happo. We stayed for 13 nights and enjoyed the convenience of the location and the shuttle bus to various ski fields. We had an incredible stay at the Whitehorse Hotel in Hakuba. From the moment we arrived, Tony was more than accommodating, and the entire team were personable, friendly, and genuinely went out of their way to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The daily mountain transfers were a huge highlight. We were dropped off every morning and picked up every afternoon at a time that suited us, which made ski days...
Just spent 7 nights at The white Horse with our 2 teenage sons. We cannot recommend this place enough, Tony and all his workers were all so lovely to us. Being our first time to the snow it took all the worry away knowing they would drop us off in the morning & pick us up in the afternoon at the different surrounding ski resorts. Tony organised ski lessons for us & recommend a hire place within walking...
We had a wonderful stay at the Whitehorse Hotel. The room, the food, and the onsen were all exceptional and far beyond our expectations. What truly set this hotel apart was the kindness and care shown by Tony and his team during an incredibly difficult time. Following a serious snowboarding accident, they went above and beyond to support us. Their compassion, patience, and willingness to help in every...
The White Horse has wonderful people with exceptional customer service. Perfectly centrally located in hakuba valley for skiing. They provide transportation to and from the 10 local resorts every day. Clean and spacious rooms, and 2 great onsens. Delicious hot food at breakfast and dinner with great cold drinks. Can’t say enough great things about this hotel and staff. Will definitely be back! Thanks...

Our room was traditional (which we love) but with a western bed, and super comfortable. We enjoyed a few drinks in the cosy bar each night before eating in or out...
WHITE ROOM 2/4-2/8 2025 So, like many others from Hawaii, we booked a last minute winter trip to Hakuba to board and ski. Our party consisted of myself, wife and (4) kids ranging from age 10-16. This was all our first time skiing in Japan. I usually research accommodations obsessively before trips but due to the timing, I basically booked White Horse because it said it could accommodate all of us....
