We stayed in the hotel part, which is budget standard and it shows in being rundown and old, though it was clean and comfortable. The beds are large and comfortable, the quirky retro shower had great water pressure and the male and female onsens were good. It is let down by poor service. The young Australian staff were friendly and helpful but seemed to be under pressure from management to give...
We stayed here during snow machine which is easily one of the busiest times of the season, the team were super helpful with shuttles, info on bus timetables, recommendations for food and general hospitality. Absolutely loved the hotel and facilities, would come back in a heartbeat
The location is great for access to the Sakka ski lift. Unfortunately we found the place is very run down. It felt more like a hostel. There was hair in the bath and a used toilet roll on our arrival to the room which showed me they don’t do thorough room cleans. The young staff working there were so lovely but I believe management aren’t prioritising guest experience and for the price we paid...
This Is our second time staying here. It has everything you need. Large rooms. Beautiful oulook. Staff are extremely friendly. Great value for money located near Sakka.

I had a fantastic stay at the Wadano Forest Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready with tips, rides, or recommendations (especially Joanie!). Nestled in the forest, the hotel is peaceful and serene, yet just a short walk from the ski lifts. The rooms are clean, warm, and comfortable — the perfect place to recharge for the next day on the slopes. The continental...

We had an amazing stay at Koharu Hotel! The rooms were spotless, the atmosphere was cozy, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special shoutout to Sam Tahlia and Jesse. huge cheers to them for their kindness and help during our stay!Highly recommend this place to anyone.
We loved our stay at Koharu. It is conveniently located at the bottom of the Sakka ski lifts, with plenty of shuttles available to take you to the other lifts and mountains. There are also a good range of food options around the apartments. The room was spacious with plenty of amenities to make you feel comfortable. The highlight were undoubtedly the staff. We would like to thank Tony, Jesse, Sam,...
Could not rate this accomodation higher. We had a fantastic stay at Koharu resort hotel and suites. Our studio room was clean, spacious and full of amenities required for self sufficient living on your stay. Under floor heating, room heating, in room air drying racks and individual ski lockers were a big positive. ALL of the staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and engaging, and have gone above...
Can not speak highly enough about this Hotel.... so close to the easy Ski Fields, has its own ski hire shop and close to so many great restaurants (especially rabbit hole!) + the snow was so fantastic and pure powder! I would also like to call out the Hotel Manager - Tony who personally drove me into town to get a last-minute Christmas present for my son (which turned out to be fantastic..)... I cannot...

Best hotel you can get there. Near the kokusai lift, rhytm rental. Very good breakfast!
I stayed in this hotel during snowboarding. The staffs were friendly, helpful, and professional. The breakfast was delightful and the dinner was great. I appreciated the ski and snowboard rental service. The room was very impressive.
Lovely hotel in the middle of Hakuba. Location is a little secluded and without a car, it takes some effort to get to the city or around. We were happy to stay and chill at the hotel though. Opted for half board (Dinner provided) Super convenient with the ski rental on site, and shuttle buses to ski resorts provided. Onsen: newly refurbished and amazing! Breakfast and Dinner : was pleasantly surprised...
Excellent and cozy hotel. However, the receptionist's service was a bit gruff, and my room was dirty. There were a lot of cookie crumbs under the beds, a lot of hair, and almost 20 ladybugs in the room, especially behind the curtains. Aside from the receptionist's service, the rest of the staff were very attentive.
The hotel offers fridge rental service, and during ski season, there's a free shuttle bus to major ski resorts, making transportation quite convenient. There are three restaurants to choose from within the hotel, but unfortunately, one was under renovation this time. The hotel's hot spring provides a wonderfully relaxing space after a day of skiing.
Hakuba Tokyu Hotel boasts an excellent location, conveniently close to Happo One Ski Resort, with a free shuttle service making it ideal for winter ski trips. The hotel's European castle-style design is grand and impressive, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The public onsen bath is perfect for relaxation, and the breakfast buffet offers a rich and diverse selection. Both the French and Japanese...

Amazing stay at Coutyard in Hakuba, they guided us in every inquiry and the hotel has everything you need to skyin
The best part about this hotel was definitely the breakfast – they had everything from Japanese to Western options. I especially loved the soba noodles and the fried eggs. The coffee was good too, and they offered various egg rolls. The room itself was quite spacious; we had no trouble fitting our two large suitcases. However, the bathroom was a bit small, feeling somewhat disproportionate to the rest...
It was a lovely get away and welcomed us with food and onion soup. There was a 24 7 onsen in our room and it was quite relaxing.
Free shuttle for pick and drop off from station and bus terminal. Ski shuttle is convenient at doorstep of hotel.
Dear Mr. Nakamura, I would like to take a moment to commend your front desk staff member, AWO, for her excellent service during our stay at Courtyard Marriott Hakuba. From check-in to check-out, she was consistently helpful and professional. Hakuba isn't very big; the town area is just a few streets. The hotel is on a small hill, and there are several other hotels nearby, which provide the lighting for the entire hill. There are no convenience stores nearby. The hotel offers Japanese-style rooms, which I chose. The downside is that you have to make your own bed, which might be too much for older people. There were many elderly people and...
Stayed late June to see the stunning Itawake view. No skiing, just soaking in Hakuba’s nature. Hotel was peaceful, surrounded by trees — perfect for relaxing walks. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Room was clean, a bit small for what we booked. Breakfast was okay, mix of Japanese and Western. The onsen was the real highlight — so refreshing after a day out. Even without snow, Mominoki was a...
We had a wonderful time. Our plans were canceled due to the rain, but the hotel was great. I'd love to stay here again. Thank you for your help.
The room is old, but the ski location is good
I am very satisfied with this hotel, the location is great, the staff is friendly and the room is comfortable. The room was very comfortable in terms of lighting, temperature and bedding. I would especially like to praise the housekeeping sister for keeping the room very clean. The room has two terraces, one of which overlooks the Happo-One Ski Resort. We stayed for six nights and the breakfast food...
The experience was very good, especially the service of the male waiter at the front desk (didn't remember his name), which was very heartwarming. After checking out, we needed to take a taxi to another B&B, but because it happened to be the weekend and the birthday of the king, and it was snowing all the time, the entire Hakuba car resources were in short supply. The rooms were spacious and connected, and the hotel was surrounded by autumn leaves and greenery, creating a lovely atmosphere when looking out the window. The parking lot was likely to be full, so a staff member offered to take us to a nearby tourist spot.
Our requests were all carefully accommodated, and our stay was pleasant. The breakfast was delicious and had a unique menu that you won't find anywhere else. I also had a great time talking with the owner, and I hope to visit again after the East Wing is renovated.
What a lovely experience at La Neige. Amazing staff and great stay with excellent breakfast. Thank you for the Japanese omotenashi experience.
Fantastic helpful staff, great rooms and beautiful location
The hotel was built in an older era, so the facilities are not comparable to those of newer hotels. However, the sanitation condition is okay, the service is full marks, and the overall stay experience is still very good.
The Shadian building is full of European style. Upon arrival, a hotel attendant will introduce in detail the services provided by the hotel, and provide hot tea and snacks, which is full of ritual and warmth. Although the room is not big, it has a bathtub where you can take a hot bath, which is very comfortable. Since I couldn't catch the free shuttle bus to the ski resort, I returned to the hotel...

This European-style ski hotel is located in the forest. There are few guests in the off-season. The hotel's French food is good, but the decoration is a bit old.
I have stayed at this hotel four times since 2012 and come for winter, both Christmas and Chinese New Year. The hotel is beautiful nestled in the forest. Large room, nice place, clean and quite. But my room is far from the lobby. If you have a heavy baggages, not easy (there’re few stairs before elevator)
The food is delicious. The large bathhouse is not a hot spring, but it is OK and clean. The staff are quite professional and the service is good. Among the several chains, the Baima one has the best value for money.
Good, the buffet was delicious. Clean and hygienic. Transportation is a bit inconvenient, mainly because it's a bit far from the Happo Bus Station and JR Station, but it's very close to Gongdola, which is good.
Nice & clean…staff are very friendly Highly recommended
The food was delicious, and the front desk service was also good. The only minor issue was that I couldn't adjust the air conditioning temperature.
A bit small, but close enough 1The hotel is small, but the location is superb! You can see the landmarks when you open the window, and walk to the popular check-in spots in a few minutes. It is a perfect experience for both traveling and sightseeing!

Check-in and check-out times are really outrageous at this hotel. For what you are paying, I believe, is mainly the hot springs, easy ski rentals (extra fee) and depends if you choose their food or not, but the breakfast is very short time. The rooms look and are very cheap. Their pillows feel like worthy of $10 value. The bathroom area is not dimmable. The check-out time is at 10am unless you pay...
The Western food and service were both good. However, the kids' menu didn't change much. The Japanese food selection wasn't very extensive.
Awesome resort. Have free refreshments after ski and at night.
The hotel is a bit old and has many rules, and the view is just average. The Japanese restaurant is decent, but the food is nothing special. It's a bit far from the ski resort. The hot springs are nice and clean, though. The facilities could definitely use an upgrade.
The hotel service was great, and the hot springs were fantastic – loved the milk too! The East Wing is more convenient for accessing the public hot springs. However, I have to complain about the restaurant. There was a typo on the menu (appetizer listed as '24mouth' instead of '24month'), and when I kindly pointed it out, they acted as if I was deliberately looking for trouble. The shrimp on the second...
The hotel's dining is definitely a highlight, especially dinner, which rivals some Michelin-starred restaurants, featuring a generous use of local ingredients. Good place to stay for snowboarding in hakuba
Room is quite old but clean. There were dinner and breakfast dinner included which were authentic japanese food. We love spending time here. The view was so stunning.
Dinner was very good, very delicious, but you have to rush with the time. Breakfast may be less than dinner but there is a lot. It is a hotel that maintains Japanese culture. The ingredients are local. It is not luxurious but warm.
There is a shuttle service. I really like the hot springs here. You can soak in the hot springs while enjoying the beautiful scenery. There is also a shuttle bus to the ski resort. The only downside is that there are almost no restaurants and convenience stores around. But there is a microwave.
Public bath broke down - hot water not hire enough .  This is winter . In the room , the hot water from the tap water is not hot enough . It takes a long time for the water to become hot .  Room is very cold
The view is very beautiful. You can see the snowy mountains in Panorama from the hotel. The onsen is very good. It helps to relax after skiing. The room is clean but the design is quite old. And there are few amenities. Overall, it is a suitable place to stay for those who want to experience the nature of Hakuba. There is a lot of parking.

The service was great, and the room was very clean. Plus, there's a large public hot spring bath on the -1st floor!
Great location and price This hotel is in a great location. 5 minute walk to Goryu. The onsen is a nice bonus. Breakfast was great, but I would rather eat dinner around the area. There are so many great options to eat out in the area
Hotel Abest Hakuba, from a skiers perspective. Staff 5 stars, hotel 2 stars A mixed bag of a hotel. It is not ski in/ski out, as claimed on some websites. The walk to the lift station is a few hundred yards uphill and can be challenging in snow and ice. There is no housekeeping, let alone daily, again as claimed on some websites. You have to get clean towels at reception and the rooms are not cleaned...

Loved the private onsen. The ladies were so helpful and attentive in the hotel. We never ate dinner there as it’s a French restaurant and we wanted Japanese food. The breakfast was brought up to the room and consisted of fresh baked croissants and butter and jam and coffee. NOT a full breakfast.
wonderful bordering on magical what a lovely place. very pretty, great location. the service and staff there is wonderful bordering on magical. this was our first trip to Japan and we were so happy to have chosen hotel traumerie...
Coziest hotel I have stayed in my life.
The room is not small for Japan, it is clean and the view outside the window is beautiful. The service is friendly and there is a semi-open-air private hot spring. Although there is no scenery, it is still very comfortable to take a bath after skiing. The restaurant and bar are both very nice. I met the owner and had a pleasant half-day, half-English chat with him. The owner also treated me to many...
Very good service, the clerk is friendly, the place is big

Very nice place to stay! We stayed here for 4 nights during our snow trip. Kettle and microwave available in the room. Provide free brekkie during your stay. Laundry facilities available (2 washing machine and 2 dryer) Onsen and locker room available however there's a charge for it (we paid 1200 yen for 2 people for 4 nights which is acceptable! )
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly. There's a self-service UCC coffee machine in the lobby with free refills. The breakfast spread was excellent, and the large windows offered fantastic views of the snowy landscape. Our room was fully equipped for cooking, with a stove, sink, microwave, fridge, and kettle – everything you need to prepare your own dinner if you're on vacation. If you're driving...
Service in general is good, except manner of one young man who’s rude, while another westerner-looking gentleman is very helpful and nice!
My wife and I had an excellent stay at hotel hakuba. It was easy for us to access the neighbouring ski resorts using the free shuttle bus provided by the ski resorts. The breakfast had a good spread and an even better view. One negative feedback is that the beds in the double room is quite uncomfortable.
Amazing hotel, breakfast and dinner options were great! We stayed in winter and the view from our room was breathtaking
A no frills hotel though the location is quite good. Hotel staff was not very helpful when we were struggling with big luggages and they stood there watching us with smiles! 😂

Very nice modern and minimalist hotel in the centre of Happo, a short walk from the bus terminal and the gondola. Good strong hot showers and excellent drying lockers for your snow gear. Wifi on the 3rd floor dropped out constantly and was almost unusable, and breakfast was poor with stone cold eggs and other cooked breakfast items which was very unappetising. This should be improved for the very high...
We really loved our stay at the Happo. We stayed for 13 nights and enjoyed the convenience of the location and the shuttle bus to various ski fields. We would have liked the sheets changed more frequently than every 4 days given the number of nights we stayed and the cost as well as a deeper clean of the room (we are by no means dirty). The breakfast was great, however, cold most days. The staff were...
My husband and I just left the property yesterday after staying for 5 nights. Staff and service were very good - this includes the drivers that help send us to the ski slopes etc. Rooms were average size but my issue was there was no phone that you can call down to reception. You would need to run down to ask for help for anything. Location was perfect right opposite Rhythm the ski rentals we usually...
My stay at the hotel was very pleasant. It was quiet and relaxing. It was the non-peak period and there were not many travelers, I felt like an exclusive guest. I learned that the town really comes alive in mid Dec when the winter ski season begin, and it seems to be a very vibrant place during that time. The room was great though the basin being placed right beside the bed was a bit inconvenient...
Lovely people. Good location. Basic but comfortable rooms.
Second time here. Good location, very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Rooms clean but not where you'd want to spend a great deal of time. Bathrooms very small but shower pressure and hot water wonderful. Wifi free but flaky.
