Dinner was unexpectedly cold Japanese cuisine; I was actually craving something hot because of the cold weather, so I wasn't particularly interested.
Located right next to the main street, you can hear the noise of cars and motorcycles.
The nearest convenience store is a short walk away.
It's on a main road, so the noise of motorbikes outside woke me up a few times during the night, but other than that it was fine.
Next time I'd like to stay in Kuraya-san's quieter machiya.
Highly recommend!
They responded well to my bothersome requests, and the staff were friendly.
However, since the room was large, it was a shame to see dust on the rafters, shelves, and in every nook and cranny.
