APA Hotel Namba Shinsaibashi in Osaka

+ The hotel has an excellent location, making it very convenient for exploring Osaka. The staff were always friendly, professional, and helpful, which made the stay pleasant.
- However, the room itself was not very comfortable. It often felt stuffy, and there was a noticeable smell of food coming into the room, possibly from a restaurant or kitchen below. The sound insulation was also quite poor — people walking in the corridor could be heard very clearly, almost as if they were inside the room.

This hotel is so cool! Rooms are large, bed is comfortable and the amenities are plentiful. My husband and I were shocked at how cool this place was. Everything was also very clean and we actually didn't want to leave to go to our next hotel. We had the best experience.

I stayed here for 4 nights fall of 2025. Large, comfortable, quiet room. Lots of freebies: curry rice, alcohol, ice cream, etc. My only complaint is the room key. They give you a physical, metal key strapped to a huge piece of wood with the room number on it. They do not want you to leave the hotel with this key. So, you have to check it at the front desk before leaving and receive a plastic card (just like a regular hotel room key). When you come back, you do this process in reverse. I guess it's their way of stopping unpaid guests due to being a love hotel and all the freebies, but it is very annoying.

Fantastic location, only a few steps away from Dotonbori craziness and Shinsaibashi shopping.
The hotel itself is a little oasis, and very much styled in the Bali vibes.
Impressed with room size, amenities in room, and also access to free additional things in the lobby, like drinks, ice cream etc.
There wasn't really anything to not like about this place and would happily stay there again if I visited Osaka.

Much credit has to be given to the staff and management, as they accomodated us after a difficult night in a smoking room. My pregnant wife was thrilled after we were upgraded to a non-smoking room, free of charge. The amenities are endless (free popcorn, drinks, etc.) and the location is top notch, away from the hectic atmosphere of Dotonbori. Would love to stay here again.

Rooms are super clean. Service is top notch. Location is great for downtown fun. Free drinks and snacks with accomodation. They didn't seem to care that we were getting drinks and food even after checking out. Place is not seedy/sketchy/dodgy at all. Feels like a higher scale hotel.

Yes it is a love Hotel but it is likely cheaper and better than actual hotels in the area. Our airbnb 30 mins away costs the same for the overnight and we wish we just stayed here.

Saw lots of people with luggage and not using it for love Hotel purposes. You can come and go as you please too if you get it for overnight.

Most love hotels get low ratings on Google, this does not deserve it at all.

Enjoyed our stay. We had a huge bed, prob two queens put together and every kind of soap, bath tub soap, shampoo, toothbrush. Downstairs they had vegetable and chicken curry with rice from 0700-1700 and alcohol, ice cream, mango and plains lasso and at night milk tea but alchohol. They have hair straightener, blow dryer, face mister, microwave, fridge, air cleanser, even a recliner a couch, a projector, a jacuzzi bathtub. This can make the rooms small for two big luggage bags but we had them open at both times and just move around them
