Picnic Park in Kapchagay

A huge thank you to the entire staff. The energy at Picnic Park is simply amazing. Everyone is responsive, kind, and always quick to respond to any request. The restaurant is 5-star. The food is delicious. The grounds are clean and lush. There are two swimming pools: a small one and a large one with slides. The kids had a great time. The rooms are clean and odor-free. Everything is top-notch. We saw the chef gathering the staff; everyone stood in line, listening to him. It's clear they put their heart and soul into it. We went to the foam party, and it was on a Wednesday. It was absolutely amazing. The children, aged 5-7, were literally up to their necks in foam. The disco in the evening was fantastic. Everything was perfect. We even forgot there was no beach nearby. Bottom line: we'll be back again and again. The kids are already asking when we can come again. I highly recommend this place. The owner is definitely a great guy.
P.S. The pool is cleaned daily, and the water is maintained late in the evening and early in the morning. The staff is all like bees from early morning until the last client who is still awake.

The rooms are like a house of cards, you can hear everything down to the smallest detail. Cleanliness is 4-.
The room has an icy floor, nothing is laid. High humidity, linen does not dry well.
The food and service are super!!! The territory is clean.
I did not like the music in the evening, it is too loud for those who sit far away and dance nearby. The repertoire is so-so, a lot with swearing, considering that there are many families with children. Even on request (for a fee) there are not many normal ones.
Overall I liked it, but there is room for improvement.

Very nice place to rest. To get there from city Almaty it take 2 hours.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this place. Booked a deluxe room just to spend the night, ended up staying another day. I really liked the food, the prices are slightly above average, but really tasty. Cocktails were prepared with intelligence and the right recipe. The room is simple, no frills, but has everything you need. The terrace is just a delight, in the evening it is a pleasure to enjoy the sunset and look at the stars. Excellent system of payment from bracelets. It's so simple yet so convenient. No need to go everywhere with a phone or a card. In general, for a place from which we did not expect much, we got maximum pleasure and comfort.

I liked it very much. Although we are fans of a completely different format of recreation. We thought that we would walk, swim in Kapchagay, and at the hotel we would only throw things. But the reservoir did not catch on, the water left for 50 meters, as small as you go and algae. We have not been here before and we do not know whether the reservoir is always like this or is it some kind of seasonal phenomenon. We ended up spending the weekend by the pool. And they didn't regret anything. The water is really cold. But there are slides, they work according to the schedule of 2/2 hours.
The rooms are very ascetic - 2 beds, a cabinet, a bar for hangers without hangers and a bathroom. In general, this is enough, we only slept in the room. There is a restaurant with very tasty food on the territory, although by the end of the weekend the assortment was very poor. In the evenings, a disco, yelling music - for us it is rather a minus, but tolerable. Music plays all day, but not too loud.
The village itself is somehow abandoned, there is not much place to walk. On the beach they roll us an inflatable banana-type garbage.
I would come back here again.

We were delighted with the recreation area. By the way, they are one of the few recreation areas who have not yet closed and 99% had everything on the menu. Very polite and friendly staff. The kitchen is just a delight! Everything is delicious! Serving 🔥Clean pool. Comfortable sun loungers. There is a children's pool and playground. I came to them and did not regret anything and had a great time last summer days👍Thank you!

Pretty good. Well-groomed territory, friendly staff, a good menu and a range of drinks at the bar!
You can rent a separate gazebo, as well as rent a cauldron and barbecue if you want to cook food from the products you brought with you.
All payments on site are made from a wireless wristband, to which a deposit is paid in advance at the hotel.
The pools are monitored, cleaned every morning and kept clean throughout the day. The hotel staff are on duty at the pools, expelling children from an adult who swim without adult supervision.
I would like to advise the hotel a couple of points:
1. Add another outdoor toilet, as the only one sometimes can not cope with the human flow.
2. The beds in the rooms would be wider )), too large, a bit cramped for them.
And so I put "five"!
