Era Hotel in Almaty

Really enjoyed staying my time at this hotel. Great location (near the metro station) and a bus stop innfront of it. The hotel is newly renovated, hot shower, great water pressure which is a must because I have long hair. The receptionists are the best too. They let us check in before 2pm and always ask us if we need anything when we pass by the desk. Great hospitality.

Simple budget rooms, there is drinking water and teabags in main hall but i recommend to buy water yourself at stores

They have everything you might need for a pleasant stay, and I would recommend it for those who are prepared for a few things.

Language Barrier: One major caveat is the lack of English-speaking staff. If you don't speak Kazakh or Russian, communication can be difficult. While Google Translate helps, it can still be stressful, which isn't ideal on vacation.
Security Concerns: The hotel doesn't offer in-room safes or security boxes for valuables. Additionally, reception cannot hold belongings for safekeeping. This might be an issue for some travelers who want peace of mind while sightseeing.
Payment Policy: Be aware that the hotel requires full payment upfront upon check-in. This is not the standard practice in hospitality, as most hotels only require a credit card guarantee and final payment upon check-out. Not being prepared for this policy can lead to some inconvenience.

Final Thoughts:

If you're comfortable navigating the language barrier, have alternative ways to secure valuables, and don't mind the upfront payment policy, Otel ERA offers a comfortable and well-maintained stay. However, if these points are important to you, you might want to consider other options.

This hotel was the only satisfying accommodation place of my trip to Almaty.
Although the staff doesn't speak English, she was willing to communicate using a translation app.
Both the room and the bathroom were exceptionally clean and neat.
The only downside was its distance from the major spots within the city.

Room was not big but VERY CLEAN . Stuff is very helpful and friendly.
Hotel is new and convenient location.
