Very bad experience we had in this hotel. We are a family of 6 people , so we booked 3 rooms and contacted the hotel a long time before our arrival to have the rooms in the same floor near together. One day before our trip, I confirmed the availability of the rooms and made sure that rooms will be ready by the check time. When we arrive at 5 p.m . One of the rooms was not ready yet, they try to fix the door! One more thing, there is no elevator!! Just stairs and as parents are suffering from their knees, it was painful to reach the third floor every time we want to go outside the hotel! They booked for us on the third floor and when we asked to find others at the second level they said it is full booked!! We asked them again in the next days as we will stay here for 7 days, they didn’t find any for us!! We reserved the rooms a month ago and they must give us the priority and respect our needs but!!!
When I want to talk about the worst things in this hotel, I can say: not cooperative, rooms are narrow and not spacious, old furniture, old towels, not clean mugs, carpet inside and outside the rooms are dirty, bad housekeeping as they just change the towels when we ask, and just put sugar and tea without cleaning very well or vacuuming!! The water tap in the master room was damaged as it was movable and we notified the hotel. They sent us a plumber next morning and knocked the door two times and we didn’t open as we were sleeping and tired! The third time we heard someone knocking the door then opened the door then closed when we screamed! The sign door board not works in all rooms at this floor!! So, guest can’t send any message such as not disturb or clean my room!! You have to lock the door to feel safe.
There are a lot of long stairs even in the entrance!!! No pullman at the time of our arrival to help us to carry our luggage which forced my sons to carry the stuff to the third floor which is not polite to let the guests to serve themselves! The women work in the reception had nothing to do with our requests!! They must ring us vis the telephone if something happens or they need anything regarding our rooms. About the given rooms, noisy and not comfortable! The only good thing in the rooms is the beds which they are comfy. Otherwise, nothing is good !! I was clear and honest in narrating my experience.

This hotel is the trashiest hotel I have ever visited in my life. I complained about the broken ac and the staff first said that "all the ac in this hotel are not working!" But when I countered his claim by checking other rooms then he said that he will send a repairman soon but even after 16 hrs no one came. The tv is also not working. Also they never gave us the remote for the ac or tv. The toilet/bathroom lock is also broken and it is a big problem when you are staying with your friends. I suggest the hotel owner to give up the hotel business as he definitely doesn't know how to run a hotel.

Pay lower but get higher, The location of hotel is very convenient, near the metro and minimart. The building has only 3 floors, so there are no elevator service, you need to handle your super baggage by your own. The room is very clean but housekeeper did not to re-fill shower gel in my room, they only change towel, a little bit clean the room and refill drinking water. Some light in my room was broken but it’s fine…yeah. The first receptionist I met was very nice, calm, humble, helpful and polite but another day I met the mean girl receptionist (3 members in groups, chubby girl and white slim girls) they did not speak English to me. When I don’t understand what she speak, she made like annoy me. I just can’t open and don’t know how to open the restaurant door. She laugh at me and did like I am stupid. Yah, that might true but I did not stay here before. it’s heavy door, if u gonna open just heavy push it. You will not be joker for receptionist like me. But it still fine, that’s my first time here. The restaurant is very clean and nice. There are a lot of menu. Staff at there work so hard. She can handle everything by alone. I saw her there everyday I go, it made me I think she has day off or not. For conclusion, I suggest to stay there. The price not high, the room’s clean, the location’s great and breakfast is amazing. But not expect the service from those mean girl receptionist. Everything fine.

The room was very clean, which made our stay comfortable. However, one thing to note is that the noise from the road was quite loud. We could hear every car passing by, and it made it difficult to sleep.
The lack of soundproofing in the room made it much noisier than expected."
& the ambiance of the room was nice there is no elevator but staff help us to bring luggage to our room. Breakfast was very delicious worth it..

I am for the 1st time at Mildon hotel in Almaty , it is a very limited and uncomfortable hotel, I found it via booking , also I sent few mail , at the reception they were very rude with my friend , insisting for payments in a booking done with card . Without elevator , with the stairs not really designed safely. Grow up your business in respect of users please.

Hotel Tien Shan was renovated to Mika City Hotel. Aroma of white tea welcomes you. ATM machine at the gate. Spacious rooms and corridors. No elevator but the staffs were helpful to lift the luggages up to the room. English speaking staff. Next to the supermarket and walking distance to Kok Tobe ropeway station.

There are two premises, apartments and hotel Mildom. Location is excellent, also having own parking zone is preferable in city center. But if your choice fall in hotel (better than apartments) you need to go for breakfast to the next door 🚪 of the building outside. The price is acceptable for such location and rooms. Very polite personal.

An excellent city hotel in the "golden square" of Almaty - a quiet center, excellent rooms, very quiet and at the same time within walking distance from the historic city center.
