The hotel is close to the yurt-shaped shopping mall (Khan Shatyr). A good 20-25 minutes walk to the Baiterek Tower. If I understand well it is the ex-Marriott hotel

The bed wasn't neatly made, not like what you'd expect in a hotel. We had to ask for toothpaste and a toothbrush ourselves, as there weren't any. The breakfast was meager.

The only minor issue was that the air conditioning remote control glowed at night if you slept with it on (we didn't figure out if there was a way to turn off the light)

We stayed for three days, one of which was a full day (night, day, morning) – on the second day, the towels were changed, and water was replenished

So, the point is the hotel is fully booked OR there are rooms extra? Secondly, we had an odd feeling at the hotel, we stayed 2 nights and the staff barely greeted the guests. They were chatting amongst themselves

But then she came back to us after 5mins and said if we agreed to pay 50% extra retail price for the room, she would tell her colleague to prepare a room for us

The room is quite old and the size is good. The bathroom has a musty smell. Breakfast is on the second floor. The basic food is not replenished in a timely manner. It is not recommended for tourists to stay here.

Right next to this landmark tower, the transportation is generally convenient. There is a currency exchange downstairs, which is very convenient

Nice room, The receptionists were outstanding. With me not knowing the local language, they helped me with transport. Breakfast as well was one of the best I had in a long time.
