One of the best hostel ive ever staying in central Asia. The room are nice and clean, also the bathroom quite spacious. I recommend for the sharing / bunk bed because super comfy and worth the price. I was staying there for a few days combine sharing room and private room, but for private room to be honest quite expensive with no ammenities and just sharing bathroom.

Great place for both solo travellers and groups. Amazing location and community.
Lots of space outside to chill, amazing cats and the river just opposite the house.
Service is good, but remember that they accept only KZT.
Very good hostel in almaty, they have separate rooms and dormitory’s. Kitchen is also very well maintained with all necessary things like oven, kettle electric stove, utensils, spoons, bowls and fridge, rooms and other places are clean. Only issue is they have shared bathroom for private rooms also you have to share one bathroom between two private rooms. People at reception’s are also helpful but some...
Good hostel which was clean, felt safe and was comfortable. Friendly staff and good location. Bathrooms were good and hardly ever had to wait. Solid hostel. Only comment is the kitchen is small so only really 1 person can cook comfortably at any time.
A small basic hostel nestled in a residential block close to amenities. The bus from the airport stops close to the hostel. When I arrived at the property at around 9pm, there was no staff in the reception for checking me in. A resident who can speak English helped me and contacted the staff. Also during check out, there was no one in the reception and I just left the keys behind and left. The kitchen...
very cosy and friendly hostel. close to metro, ATMs, shops, cafes & restaurants and everything you may need. administrator is so professional. always clean, silent. suggested place to stay!
This hostel is great! The kitchen is artfully decorated and large. The shower/bathrooms are clean, no water pile up, modern. The capsules are wide and cozy (but the lights next to bed don’t work, my only complaint). But the people working here take the cake!!! The receptionist went above and beyond to make sure we found our next ride/destination. And kept in contact with our driver to check up if/when...
The place is a very nice, even though it has nothing too special in comparison with other hostels nearby. The location is pretty good, not far from a bus stop and central Abai Street. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The prices are fair - 2,500 KZT per night. The kitchen is nice, it has a fridge, microwave and untensils. One possible improvement is to have a couple of desk where one can work...
One of my favorite hostels on my around the world trip. Fun people, staff and good accommodations.
Cozy and clean. The bed linen is changed on time. The location is great, near the Asyltau Business Center bus stop.
Quiet and pleasant place with responsive and friendly staff.
Very central location.
Staff is very friendly and accomodating.
Rooms and common areas very clean.
I would definitly reccomend this hostel.
(Only minus is that I could have liked more power for the water in the shower)
It’s so comfortable experience for me, that only for the live situation , but also the assistant can offer a towel. When I first came there, the kitchen spread the fragrance over the room, and the guest shared their yummy food for me. Then, the snowflakes fell down from the night sky. All these made me feel so warmed and impressed ! ☺️

Beautiful area near the embankment, you can walk or go for a run, very fresh air
Nice location, friendly staff and a comfortable environment.
The proximity to the main road is the only thing that is good about this place.
The staff gave very mixed vibes
They were friendly and accommodating when we stayed first 2 days, the next 2 days, they behaved weird- as in they were playing with the AC switches, took away our fans and asked out of the blue to pay parking fees. The first time round they were helpful, giving us places to go, cars to rent...
Excellent stay in Almaty! I was surprised by how modern the hostel was and how nice the rooms were. The owner is very friendly and speaks great English. He was very helpful and can answer any questions about Almaty if you are looking for things to do. For a short stay, I really enjoyed the rooms and thought this was a great value!
I stayed at the hostel for a few nights while visiting Almaty. The location is excellent—right in the city center, with a nice café across the street and Dostyk Plaza just a short walk away.
The only issue was that the room could get quite hot and stuffy, as there was no ventilation or windows. Other than that, everything was great!
hello, I want to say a big thank you, I really liked the hostel, everything is clean and comfortable, the administrators are very friendly and helpful, I advise this hostel, I will be back😊❤️
Clean cozy hostel everything is nearby thank you very much we will come again 😍
Really good hospitality.. good owner
Really cool place, clean and nice owner. A bit far from the city center (need to take taxi)
Very best and comfartble. It's a located In the centre of the city... Not expensive an very comfortable. All site visiting place are very near..... I am very satisfied . Very good administration...Dash boy Is very good . In low price the found the best and nice . It's like a home atmosphere in a another country. I want to visit again
Arrived late at night but was picked up by Daj the admin, very friendly and sociable guy. Check in was smooth and the bed was good. The only problem was the bathroom facilities - were quite dirty. Otherwise, the hostel is in apartment and there is a homie atmosphere in it.
A basic hostel, clean and good beds. Prices seem quite average. The place is cramped though and amount of toilets is too limited.
Everyone was kind and accepted me as a member of the group. I was able to live without any inconveniences. The rooms are separated for boys and girls, so I feel safe. It was a hostel that made me miss Kazakhstan. If I go to Almaty again, I will definitely stay at the same place.
The metal bunk bed had no safety rail, which felt quite dangerous, especially as the room was on the 3rd floor.
I have stayed at various hostels in East Asia and some parts of Southeast Asian countries, and I have to say that this hostel has the worst impression at how unprofessional it is. Yes, staff is friendly and people are generally helpful, but that is a low bar in Asian countries. I was glad that I was allowed early check-in, and amenities were fully provided at the kitchen, value for money and location...
it is located close to main sightseeing places and you can walk to them. it is on the second floor, North American ways, and then you need carry up your heavy bag at the outside stairs because there are no elevator. they pass you washed bed sheets and a towel. I didn't see any cleaning women. maybe the young guy at the reception only keep the hostel tidy, which doesn't seem enough.
This hostel has a great location just a 15-minute walk to the main attractions, making it super convenient for sightseeing. The rooms are basic but clean, and the staff is friendly. A solid budget choice if you prioritize easy access over luxury. Perfect for travelers who want to explore without spending much 👍
I stayed for 3 days.
It was really nice use in Almaty, if I visit again, I wanna use this hostel.
nice and clean, but a little bit hard to find. Haha
Mixed feelings. Hostel itself is clean and well-done, spacious beds which can be closed off, big lockers, big main room with tv and PS5 (who needs it tho?). But at the same time, as someone said in another review about lack of atmosphere - almost NO international travellers at all, stayed there for 4 nights and I think there were ONLY local people. One evening there were kids playing in hostel.. kids...

A lovely welcoming hostel. Slippers are provided. Beds are very comfortable so you get a good nights rest. Lots of hot water available and a kitchen available to make the essentials. The lounge area has a PS5 too. It’s close to a shopping mall with lots of outlets and a food court. And not too far a walk from the sights.
Comfortable like home, very clean, good location, very profitable to rent for a month, comfortable beds but a little wobbly. I liked the hostel administration, thanks to Aigan. The hostel has a lot of smoking areas on the 10th and 11th floors and the smoke does not bother other residents.
Unfriendly to Chinese people. The location is okay, but they don't check in or drop off luggage before 2 PM, which is very inconvenient. The bedding is made of synthetic fibers, very thin and pilling. The shared bathroom is small, with only one shower room.
Yes
Check-in convenience: Convenient
Safety: Very safe
Facilities: Average
Cleanliness: Average
Environment: Average
Service: Acceptable
The room was basic, without curtains, offering little privacy. The sheets and duvet covers were old, and the service was poor.
Honestly, I didn't encounter any bad experiences staying in this hostel. I ended up staying here twice due to affordable price and its location that's close to Pavilon Park (less than a mile walk). One thing that pissed me off was that the receptionist who barely speaks English; we'd always use Google Translate which sometimes didn't help at all. The room was okay, so was the bathroom, but I really...
I had a wonderful 3-night stay at Alma-Ata Hostel! The place is clean, cozy, and has such a warm and welcoming vibe. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and I especially want to mention Gulzari—she’s always smiling, friendly, and ready to assist with anything. She truly made my stay feel like home. The location is perfect—close to shops, restaurants, and public transport. And the best part?...
Stayed total 7 night out of my 10 days backpacking trip to Kazakhstan. Rules are quite strict here, one needs to keep quiet which i honestly did not mind.
If you are in search of a hippie place where you can play loud music and drink then kindly avoid.
Superb location, shared kitchen which is big enough for everyone.
Only recommendation I have is to atleast keep some fans in rooms, at night , felt...
Pros: Nice staff, great location.
Cons: Small and dirty kitchen, only one shower works, iron cannot be used, residents drink beer and make noise at night
Hello!
I stayed in this hostel for 11 days. And all these days were spent in a very good atmosphere. The staff is space: decent, responsive, cultured, and most importantly, they treat visitors with respect. (I don’t want to single out anyone. Everyone is great!) So, if someone is thinking about where to stay, then don’t waste time choosing a hostel, this is the place for you!) All the best!
Just a wonderful hostel! Clean, comfortable, very friendly staff, in particular, the administrator Elina, met, showed everything, explained. The capsule is very comfortable, two sockets, a lamp, you are there like in childhood, in a house))) Highly recommend!!!
Cheap accommodation but the place is not clean
Cheap and angry, very small rooms, window only in the bedroom. It is cold at night, always stuffy. There is air conditioning, but does not turn on for some reason. We drove in twice, with a break of two nights, either the old underwear was laid, or it wasn’t changed at all. The rest is ok. Each restroom room has a full set of plumbing fixtures)) there is a kitchen with a stove, paper slippers are provided
Clean where rubbish is not thrown. Cleaning is done every day, but the residents themselves, who stay at the hostel and live for months, do not clean up after themselves. They leave unwashed dishes with food in the kitchen, which is why cockroaches appear. The order in the room depends on who lives in it. There is a socket, a wardrobe with a lock, and an entrance key. There is always water in the showers...
Administration ☝️👌 . I would especially like to leave a review about one employee of Aigerim:
The first person I saw when I arrived at the hostel. Neat, beautiful, excellent diction, leadership qualities are visible, and with all this ... a wonderful person, well-mannered, polite. Always prompt, help. Thanks to her and everyone else.
Thanks again ...))) to those who are trying to keep clean (not easy...
The hostel is located in the northwestern part of town and has a bus stop right in front of the building. The rooms, kitchen, bathrooms and everything is new and in an industrial kind of style. Nice musik on the hallway, good showers and toilettes, very clean. The kitchen has a lot of space and you can cook there. The rooms have the perfect interior. Locker, closet, lights and curtains on every bed...
Good location, you can find restaurants, convenience stores and supermarkets just nearby. One issue is that their receptionist is always not available, when I was about to check in, I waited for 1 hour, at the moment there were also the other two people waiting. Besides, the kitchen is not clean, there's cups and spoons all in the sink, nobody really cleans it. Other than that everything is good.
The hostel is very close to the Zhibek Zholy metro station, it is under the Lanzhou Noodles restaurant and there are numerous coffee shops (including a 24 hour one) and a Hopers Craft Beer Bar nearby.
Despite the name, no coffee is served. Capsule bunk beds were comfortable, the place is clean and there's a lot of communal space. One area has soft seating, the other is set up with tables and chairs...
Very convenient location with everything that's needed for a short stay in Almaty. Shared areas are very nice and it's actually quite comfortable to sleep in the capsules. People working there are extremely helpful (Thank you Madina !).
