Puerto Azul Suite Hotel in Port de Pollenca

What a lovely place to stay, from start to finish the staff treated us like one of the family. By no means a five star hotel, this still exceeded 4 stars and feels like we landed a bargain. we stayed half board and okay you're not getting a full english for breakfast unless you're back home but options were great, restaurant was never overflowing and honestly love all the staff. They named my son Juan and he was give royal treatment from our mate Juan the whole time. I couldn't fault our evening buffet, hot food was great and chefs were always accommodating. This is a 4 star hotel and it exceeded expectations. Pool bar blew me away, normally food is okay and prices are high, but this place had decent food and a few beers cost very little. We enjoyed the activities, especially shooting and darts, ping pong was a huge bonus and we played every day. The bus to Pollenca is about 15mins and no need for change as they prefer that you tap in and out of the bus wit your card. Great restaurants and places for a drink nearby, must should out Moll de Bellagio but book in advance!! Fantastic location, clean and comfortable hotel rooms. Its 4 stars because with a few improvements this could be even better, I did look forward to using the sauna until I found out there was a 10 euro charge for an hour and you needed to let reception know an hour in advance. I'm sure this can be sorted with the sauna only being in use for a few hours a day but for the cost of the hotel and holiday I can't complain as this was still a bargain. I look forward to returning in future.

Great location, great facilities and lovely staff. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Great selection of food at breakfast and dinner. Garage facilities also great.

Very comfortable beds, pretty good wifi. Paid for a pool view, sadly was put in A Block which is totally in the shade. This might be great in summer, but in March, it meant we paid for a balcony that was too cold to sit on. Food was reasonably good, but mostly cold. Thankfully there is a microwave to use to heat it up to a reasonable temperature. Big thanks to the amazing Marga in the restaurant who was always happy to help.

Having Read some of the reviews with a few negative comments. I was a bit concerned about what we might find. As we had a very early flight with Tui we arrived quite early before the 2pm check in time. As the Hotel had only opened for the season the week before it was very quiet and reception were able to sort out a room for us. On arrival at our room we became aware of a problem. I am a very light sleeper and found the balcony of our pool view apartment was close to a noisy to extract fan. We returned to reception and they came back to the room for me to show the issue. They then took us to see another room that we were happy with and grateful for the service & consideration shown. We were told we could go to the pool bar and receive a welcome drink (nice touch) that we did and sat in the sun by the pool enjoying it. We spoke to one English couple and asked them how long they had been there. Apparently they only arrived the day before and said they found the food not very warm. As some people have said there is possibly limited clothes storage but that does not bother us we hung up some stuff and left the majority in our cases. If you have lots of formal and smart clothes this may be a problem for you. But perhaps you are staying at the wrong hotel. We have smart casual and had no problems. Later that evening we went for Dinner as we had a half board package. You can choose your own table something we like, order drinks from the very friendly Waitress and charge it to your room, pay by card or cash. The Dinner and Breakfast are Buffet style self service , which we found offered quite a large selection of options. They also had a grill area where a chef cooked a selection of freshly prepared fish & meat options. We always found something that we enjoyed to eat and found the service from the chefs and Waiters in the dining area to be excellent. Perhaps those expecting a fine dining experience might be disappointed. Breakfast was well presented with the availability of Tea & Coffee and fruit juice from self-service machines. The grill area produced fresh eggs and omelettes to order. These could be matched with a wide variety of options Cereals, Toast, Fruit, Cheese, Meat and the continental take on an English Breakfast. We found a microwave and used that to heat our meals if required. We like to go out and explore and the location was excellent,being a short distance from the sea front and Pine Walk. The Boque valley is within walking distance if you are a walker and well worth a walk. The Central Bus stop was close by for TIB buses. This offered an easy cheap connection to Pollensa Sunday Market and Alcudia. The Hotel in early season is very popular for Cyclists using it as a base. Whilst we visited a large group from the RAF Cycling team were staying. They were both a credit to themselves and the RAF as very polite and without any noisy banter in the dinning room. We had another great stay at Puerto Azul. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff really do go out of their way to make your stay special. Thanks to Sven and Karen for their hard work in making the holiday special for our two children who simply won't go on holiday anywhere else. We look forward to coming back in May.

Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean. Staff always happy to help, kind and diligent. Room was really nice, very comfortable beds and a decent sized balcony. One family member is Coeliac and therefore requires a gluten free menu/options. Needn’t have worried as they do have a reasonable and labelled gluten free area. Additionally, the lead/head of the restaurant personnel are more than happy to escort you round the self service area and advise what other gluten free options are available. Breakfasts were fine, cereals and gluten free bread available. Maybe could do more in the sliced bread department and maybe have a designated gluten free toaster? Chefs made fresh omelettes to order and whilstI knew it was gluten free, when I enquired, via the chef, if the ham and cheese were also gluten free, he couldn’t say/confirm so that was disappointing.Aside from that, they do try to accommodate and I am thankful for that and would definitely return.

Last full day of a 10 night's half board. Been very lucky with the lovely weather, (a week before, they had storm's) one of the best hotel's we have stayed in. We had a nice clean apartment, ( although a couple of guests wasn't too happy with their's) lovely staff throughout the hotel. Great food, always good choices, and very clean. Hope to come back again, puerto pollensa is a lovely resort.

First time in puerto pollensa such a lovely place , hotel was lovely apart from the garden terrace , was very dissapointed as we always book our hotel and make sure we have the best balcony or terrace so we can just chill and watch the world go by ,but we never got to sit out once as it wasnt the terrrace we thought it would be it had 2 big grids and no view and never got the sun their at all… We did try to change rooms but their was no availability… the rooms were quite dated not enough storage for evertything This hasnt put me of going back but i would make sure i got a room with a pool view, the food was amazing and all the entertainment team were lovely , the cleaners never stopped either ..

Hotel is in a great position very close to sea front . Food was amazing couldn’t fault anything so much choice all staff in restaurant were lovely. Plenty of varied entertainment and the entertainments team were great . My only negative was our room we had a garden terrace which had two large grids in we didn’t sit out in it once no sun either my advice would be to book a pool view . The room also had very little room to put your clothes. We did ask to be moved but hotel was fully booked
