The hotel is well located – close to shops, bars, restaurants and discos. Recommended for economical vacation.

Renovated: 2011

Location: 65 km from Barcelona airport, 30 km from Girona airport, 1 km from the center of Salou, 50 m from the beach.

Consists of one 7-storey building.

The hotel has 220 rooms. There are 4 rooms for the disabled.

Beach: public sand (Platja de Malgrat) 50 m from the hotel (1st coastal line). On the beach umbrellas, chairs, mattresses: free. The beach is 900 m.

Came here with my boyfriend for a quick 4 days away. Hotel is very basic but considering the price, we’ve had a pretty pleasant experience. Staff are friendly and we’ve had our rooms cleaned everyday. Entertainment was fairly decent. Room is spacious for just the two of us and was clean when we arrived. Notably, we haven’t eaten here though. All in all would recommend if you’re looking for somewhere cheap! The hot tubs and sauna are a nice bonus.

Definitely not worth the money we paid, seemed alright at first and the rooms were okay but very basic, only one plug socket for the whole room. Food was stone cold if you didnt go into dinner at 5pm when it started. Staff were friendly around the pool but noticed we was constantly being charged differently for the same round of drinks? Entertainment was okay but definitely catered to a certain age group. Nowhere to put cases on your last day after checkout, thankfully a lady at reception let us leave the case with them as we wasnt leaving till 8pm that evening. Overall a basic hotel but wouldnt return again, been to many in this location and can promise you that there is better hotels all around!

Glad we didn’t let the reviews put us off! Good hotel for 3 stars clean rooms decent food lovely pool helpful staff and great location! Would stay again. Only gripe is the walls are very thin! You can hear everything ok for me as I sleep like the dead but can understand the issue. We went end of august so may be missed the crowds of kids previously mentioned

We had a great family stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and great housekeeping team. Fresh towels daily . The food was very good and plenty of choice for everyone. The kids loved the chocolate fountain night . The pool is nice and clean. The sauna and hot tubs were well used! Would recommend 🙂

Staff were friendly and helpful ,rooms were very basic you had to pay for hairdryers fridge safe. Food was not fantastic and room was not cleaned every day was half board so breakfast and dinner had drinks with breakfast but had to pay for drinks with dinner wasn't even water available unless you payed.

Cancel your booking NOW, if you have booked through a certain holiday company, as The Reymar Playa, they will cancel a day before and book you into the Reymar., it’s the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in, it’s a glorified Youth hostel, full of noisy loud unruly group of schoolchildren from a certain country, they lost in the 1966 World Cup, everything about the hotel is rubbish, please DO NOT STAY here. So glad to be home after an awful week

Great location, close to the beach and the restaurants/shops, but noisy because of the disco nearby and drunk/adolescent people shouting by midnight.

The service was very good, the staff were always helpful and could easily get around with even simple english.

The lack of free wifi, fridge or hairdryer were a little bit concerning for these times, but they could be purchased for an extra fee.

There was a variety of foods which did the job, but nothing to be remembered of.

The pool was great, both during the day and the night- when there were a lot of “live music” events with great atmosphere.

Had a fabulous time can't fault anything to do with the Hotel Remar, staff were kind polite and very helpful room was cleaned daily all in all 10 out of 10, we will be going back next year

Hotel is basic but clean. The bar staff are very friendly but as everything else is self service you never really interact with anyone else. The food is repetitive but there's always something suitable to eat. The hotel is very popular and busy even at this time of year. There's a great train service if you want to go to Barcelona or girona and it's cheap

Came here on as a single female with my 3 kids all under 16 and was extremely anxious and worried after reading all these ridiculous reviews… my honest opinion as a normal woman with expectations of going to a 3 star hotel are, very pleasantly surprised. Rooms are perfect for what you pay for & cleaned daily, pool area was perfect, even the ‘deep’ end was under 2 meters , which was peace of mind with an 8 year old week swimmer, it was never over crowded and there was staff constantly cleaning & maintaining the pool side, staff were all very friendly & happy to help! Food was your standard buffet style food, unless you are a total snob, you will be fine in this hotel.
