Alegria Florida in Santa Susanna

We stayed here as a family of five for eight nights, had two rooms, and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is well located in Santa Susanna, not far from the beach, with everything you’d expect from a Costa Brava holiday hotel. Friendly and attentive staff, clean rooms, decent facilities, and a nice pool area.

The food was a real plus: good variety, tasty, fresh, and something for everyone — meat, fish, salads, sweets, vegetarian options, etc. Also good to know: if you’re not all-inclusive, you can still order better coffee or drinks at the bar for a small extra charge.

The hotel was clean throughout, noise levels were reasonable at night, and even though we didn’t expect much entertainment, there were some animation elements too (Bingo, dancing, singer, etc.).

The only downside, especially for us since we are sportive people :) : the gym. It’s the first hotel I’ve experienced where they charge 5€ per visit, and unfortunately, the quality doesn’t justify the fee. Equipment was very basic, the room was small, air circulation was poor and no AC, and there were no towels or water provided. Definitely room for improvement there.

All in all, a solid four-star stay — and I’d return, but would skip the gym next time.

This was our first family holiday abroad and this resort was genuinely amazing, all the staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms were lovely, but the thing that stood out the most was the entertainment team they were incredible.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic I would highly recommend it the food caters for everyone the staff is amazing but what I noticed was everyone stayed in the hotel as the entertainment is next to none from morning till evening so much fun “ Sidney “ entertained every guest with every language she is excellent at her job, we laughted at bingo to all the quizzes right up till nighttime we will definitely booking again as I haven’t enjoyed a holiday like this in a longtime

The hotel itself is very clean and located nearby many restaurants, shops and the beach. We had an all inclusive booking, and the food served was brilliant. The rooms were a great size, balcony included and an air con that came in very handy with the heat outside. The activities and entertainment throughout the week were well planned and very fun to partake in. The staff at the hotel, whether that be the front desk, the bar staff, the waiters, the chefs or the entertainment staff, are a massive credit to the hotel. Sydney, one of the evening entertainment staff, was especially brilliant; full of energy, always smiling, constantly ensuring that everyone was happy and having a good time. We would definitely come back to Alegria Florida Park.

Pros: Nice clean rooms with easy access to beach, shops and other amenities. Great selection for breakfast. Timing 7:30 to 9:30 which can be inconvenient for some.

Cons: Kettle or tea making facilities €10
Parking at hotel expensive( although free street parking available within a kilometre). Water bottles €2 for 500 ml(Plenty of supermarkets nearby for cheap options). Checkout at 10am although website says midday.

Reception staff knowledge on local areas or restaurants can be better.

Wonderful hotel, staff and facilities. We felt welcomed from the moment we got there. The pool was excellent and the all inclusive options were outstanding, especially getting 50% off all drinks not on the all inclusive menu. The food was exquisite and the menu choices were almost endless, really catered for everyone. There was a beach less than 5 minutes away also. The evening entertainment was superb also. Even on our final day, we had to check out by 10am and they replaced our wristbands with new ones that meant we could still use the pool and snack bar until we had to leave.
Would 100% go again!

Stayed at the Alegria Florida Hotel in Santa Susanna. This was my 3rd visit to Santa Suzanna but 1st time at this hotel and it’s the best one if you like activities for all along the strip of hotels.
When we arrived the receptionist was lovely and we knew we had to pay the tax like you do at any hotel abroad. We then had to pay 10euros for our all inclusive wristbands which is refunded when you leave.
We had 9 of us of all ages staying and the rooms were all very clean and spacious. Our balcony’s over looked the car park but we were only in our rooms to get ready and then sleep so we wasn’t bothered about the view. You can use the safe in the room free of charge and it was great putting belongings in there when we were down by pool or out.
The entertainment team were absolutely amazing, they had a timetable on display in reception with about 7 activities from 10am - 11pm each day.
A special thank you to the lovely entertainment team Aya, Sydney and Laura. Everyday they were encouraging guests to join in aqua gym, kids daytime activities, water volley ball, bingo, quiz’s and lots more. They were all so friendly and made us all feel very welcome and we joined in most things. Every evening the hotel had entertainers which were good.
We did the all inclusive and we thought this was a good deal. Breakfast, lunch and evening were in the main restaurant. There was a good selection for all and chefs were also very friendly. There is a snack bar throughout the day which I personally didn’t need but our teenagers liked popping in for chips and burgers when they wanted.
Drinks were available 11am - 11pm. Cocktails were limited on the all inclusive and had to pay extra for Strawberry daiquiri and some of the best ones. Other alcohol drinks were on the all inclusive deal all day and evening. A bar girl called Emma was amazing and so friendly. A few young gentlemen were also friendly but the older barmen were grumpy which is a shame but luckily they only served me a few times so didn’t take notice to them and all the other staff made up for it.
I can honestly say it was such an amazing holiday with a great atmosphere and the beach is a 10 minute walk. Shops and street markets are just outside of the hotel and across the road 10 minute walk is the train station where you can go into Barcelona for the day.
