Just returned from 10 days here, absolutely amazing place and cannot fault. One really bad point is regarding a staff member. The Coral restaurant there’s an older lady what I assume in charge. Went in on our last night (Thursday 18th September) after going in for the full term we was there, and as a full family of 6, my two children went to look at the food before sitting down at the table (as the food seems to repeat its self. The older lady was every rude to my two children and embarrassed we and my wife in from of the whole restaurant, trying to imply that my children had snuck into the restaurant, both had all inclusive bands on, the waitress who was showing us to our table at the time couldn’t apologise enough. The women in charge is rude and seems on a power trip. This embarrassed us as a family and spoilt was should have been a nice end to our stay here. The lady wouldn’t listen to me when I was telling her there my children and we have come together as a family

We recently came back from weeks stay here and although we had a lovely time with family it was no thanks to the holiday (we would have had a lovely time together at a budget caravan park!) On arrival at 11am we we're informed that the all inclusive didn't start until 12pm and we would have to go back for wrist bands at that time, after being up since 1am we we're all ready for food/drinks and I've never stopped at a hotel that delays the start of your all inclusive due to the time you arrive! Luckily, or so we thought, our room was ready (my sisters and her family's was not quite ready) so we got the keys and headed down to my room to dump the cases so we could explore the hotel whilst waiting for the all inclusive to start. Jet 2 heavily advertised this hotel as being refurbished but the room we we're given looked like it hadn't been touched for 30 years + (please see pic) we are a family of five, 2 adults a 17 year old, 7 year old and 6 year old. After arriving in the room and being devastated at the state of it we quickly noticed that there was only 2 single beds and a sofa bed which obviously wouldn't be able to sleep our whole family. We journeyed back up to reception where I explained that there was not enough beds for us all, the lady on reception then explained that the sofa bed slept 3, bare in mind the sofa bed was tiny and there's no way a grouchy 17 year old would ever share a tiny sofa bed with 2 younger siblings! I explained that there was no way the 3 children (one nearly an adult would possibly be able to fit on one tiny sofa bed) and after a lot of huffing, eye rolls, talking between themselves in raised voices and me asking them to come and see the 3 kids try to squeeze onto this sofa bed, she finally agreed to move us rooms. When we finally got the keys to the room and headed upstairs to the 2nd floor (we had requested ground floor as my daughter is autistic and we was worried about climbing on the balcony but they couldn't accommodate the ground floor as all rooms full by that point) but we we're just happy that we weren't staying in the first awful room we we're given, we were so pleasantly surprised, the new room we we're given was fully refurbished and absolutely beautiful. Finally we could relax and start the holiday! But after all this messing about we had to go join the huge queue to have our wrist bands changed to the all inclusive ones, we also asked for the safe key to keep passports/money safe and was shocked to learn that we had to pay 25 euros and a 20 euro deposit to access the safe, again this is a 4 star hotel and I've never had a charge for the safe so was shocked we had to pay (lower star hotels it's expected but not in the higher star hotels) we needed to have a safe so we had no choice to pay but was told if you don't keep your receipt then you will not receive the 20 euro deposit back so be wary of this. So finally the holiday starts, we go to the bar to get a drink and the theme for the whole week is that

We have just spent a week at this hotel, there were 8 of us in total, 5 adults and 3 children and whilst there are some positives the negatives far outweigh them. We arrived at 11.10am and after a day of travelling and being up at 2am we were told that the all inclusive didn’t start until 12noon and that we would have to go back to reception to change the temporary wristbands they gave us, we go away a few times a year and we have never experienced not being able to get a drink or food when we arrive. One of our rooms was ready so we went to leave our cases in the room, be aware that not all of the rooms have been upgraded in the suites, we walked into a room that looked like it hasn’t been touched since the 60’s! This room was supposed to sleep 5 people, there was 2 x single beds and a sofa bed, when we complained to reception they told us that the sofa bed was big enough to sleep 3 people, after we asked them to come and look they begrudgingly agreed to change the room. Both rooms we eventually ended up with were lovely, 2 x double beds and a sofa bed. I don’t think much cleaning took place in the room, the beds were made and towels changed but the floor was filthy for the whole week and bedding was never changed. Now onto the food, the snack bars were great, the food was always hot and cooked fresh but it did get a little repetitive by the end of the week which is normal for all inclusive. The food in the restaurant is simply awful, everything is freezing cold, by the end of the week most of us choose not to bother with breakfast and we went out to eat dinner 3 times out of the 7, just to have something decent to eat that was hot. The noise in the restaurant is shocking, you cannot have a normal conversation due to the amount of people in there, you also have to help yourself to a glass of wine, which in the grand scheme of things is fine, but again, I’ve never been to a hotel where you don’t get offered a drink with your meal. There are 3 pools in the hotel and they were fabulous for kids, however if you’re hoping to get a little relaxation time you will not get it at this hotel, it is chaos! There are plenty of sunbeds but no where near enough parasols and the parasols they do have are all falling apart. The amount of people in the pools seems to get even worse at a weekend, not entirely sure why, our guess is that people are able to use the hotel and pools on a day pass. If you want a good spot at the pool be prepared to set an alarm, by 7am all the good spots are taken. The pool staff are so rude and miserable, constantly blowing their whistles at little ones and shouting at them when they’ve done something minor, one little boy looked close to tears after being yelled at for going down the slide the wrong way. This didn’t happen to any of our children but witnessing it happening to others made them nervous of doing something wrong while playing. The ice cream vans are amazing, never many queues and the kids loved being able to have ice cr

F 59, M38, M12, F10 What's not to like here Rooms are great, enough room for a family of 4, (2 x double beds) with a sofa, they are cleaned daily with fresh towels. Only comment is a kettle plus Tea / Coffee would be great, although there is a microwave and a fridge. Food Breakfast - pretty standard for an all inclusive Snack Bar is great and always had something even a picky eater could eat, was always hot and constantly replenished throughout the day. Evening meal - always plentiful and varied, yes there were some strange items (battered Broccoli) but there was always something to eat, fresh salads, fruits and cheeses every night. If you manage to be there when it's 'carvery night' you are in for a real treat. different specialty nights (Mexican etc.) Had no issues with anything being under cooked. Bars - yes they can be busy and a queue can form, but the staff work hard to keep the wait time down, i didn't notice any differentiation between nationalities, everyone got served in order. I do think its rare for an 'all inc'. to serve large (pint) plastic cups of beer rather than those tiny little plastic cups. You can also get crisps from the bar, again, something you don't normally get in an all inclusive hotel. Nice touch here is that soft drinks are available from soda machines dotted around the hotels, so no queueing for those or water. Pools - these can get busy, but there are so many to chose from, the main pool (chlorine) has loads of room and the animation staff work hard to keep the guests entertained. The heated salt water pool is a little quieter (not much though) the slides are a nice touch. All pools allow inflatables. Be warned, the Astro turf round the pools can get very hot, even a short walk from your sunbed to the pool can feel like the skin on your feet in being burnt off!!!!!. Comment - all entertainment is in Spanish, no translation. Sun beds - If you want a bed round a pool then, yes, you will be setting an alarm!!!, but there are loads of beds around, if you aren't too bothered about being near a pool, you can always find one. The staff do pop notices on beds that have been reserved with no one on them and will then remove items from them to free up the bed, if they aren't occupied within 90 minutes. Mind you this can lead to some very angry conversations when the 'reservees' come back and find someone else on beds they haven't been at for over 90 minutes!!!! Comment - the only shade is from Parasols that cant be moved, we got round this by purchasing a couple of cheap (14.00 euros) from the local hypermarket (3 minutes walk away and tied them to our sun beds. Entertainment - the main entertainment room can get very hot and stuffy in the evenings, but there is normally something going on in the outside areas - fun fair, foam parties, disco etc. would be excellent if had tea and coffee in rooms All in all a great hotel for families, we woudl certainly go back

Food okay, room nice, staff efficient but not very friendly, so busy in August. Feels very hemmed in. I got yelled by a woman because I used the Olympic pool when I wasn’t supposed to (didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to). The money I think I’ve stayed in nicer places. But if you don’t mind the pilot high approach, then it’s fine. Have also been ignored at the bar a couple of times.

Our family (me, my husband and 3 children - 11, 8, 6) have just come back last night and we literally had the best time ever. Reading some of these reviews before hand, I was a little anxious but I don’t have one negative thing so say about this hotel. I like to write detailed reviews so here goes. First off, there are sort of 4 parts to the hotel - Olympic suits (where we stayed), Olympic gardens, Olympic palace and Olympic parks. Not sure what the difference is or if one is better than the others but they all shared the same pools and communal areas and you could walking in and out of the reception of all. The room - was clean, tidy and well decorated. We had a street view but I liked people watching off the balcony so didn’t bother us at all. House keeping was great. The staff - were so friendly and helpful. All of them. They spoke very good English (sorry I tried to learn Spanish and I was useless). They worked so hard to make sure the place was clean, the guests were entertained and well fed and “watered”. The entertainment - was great, kids highlight was the carnival and foam party! Kids club was fun for my youngest two, especially when they had characters there. There is something on for everyone almost all of the time. You scan a QR code at the desk and it tells you by the hour, what is on from mini discos, to aqua exercise, to inflatables. The food - they was so so much choice. Plenty of salad stuff, breads, pizza, pasta daily and then they usually have a themed night on. First night was a sweetie night, second was a Mexican night, then a tapas and Mediterranean. They cook things right in front of you, first night I had a lovely salmon. They do like their seafood but I like seafood. Ice-cream vans and slushies so the kids were well happy. The snack bar was perfect, all freshly cooked. Plenty of drinks machines everywhere to help yourselves and bars dotted everywhere. The cocktails were STRONG! So be careful there. Although, it doesn’t take much for me to get tipsy. The pools - there are 3! 4 if you count the inside pool. We tried them all but mainly stayed by the kids pool. My eldest loved the bigger slides. The lifeguards were vigilant about safety. My youngest 2 loved the small pool with the pirate ship. There were plenty of sunbeds but it is busy (we went in the school holidays) so you’re not always guaranteed to get one in the place you want but there are always places to set up in my opinion, however I’m not one to have a scrap over a sun bed. I was just happy to have a spot in the sun and a pool to cool off in. Only downside is that the fake grass can get a little hot - so walk quick or put some flip flops on. Location - so it is about a 15 min walk from the beach but we didn’t mind the walk. The beach was stunning. The hotel is next to a park, the kids loved this. But the best part was it was less than a 10 min walk from a major bus depot. We were supposed to have an excursion book from Tuesday from jet2 but they never

Single parent reivew* The hotel is clean and high spec. Pool areas are great. Evening entertsinment seemd ok but too busy for us, we chose to go into town every night. The buffet breakfast was good, lunch and dinner buffet was OK, not much catered for children, and hot food mainly paella and Spanish dishes which is fine if you are OK with that. Snack bar catered more for kids. The hotel itself is a very large complex, with very mixed array of guests, lots of Germans, French and Spanish which is better than being just British! but this can make it harder to meet other British families with children. The room was immaculate and I only had 2 issues here - the room air con did not work at all. And the cleaners took my child's favourite soft toy that she brought from home - assumed to be swept up in the bedsheets when they changed the beds. Also one of my rings (which had sentimental value) also went missing from our room. When I reported this to the manager he called housekeeping but didn't follow up or try to help with this. My child was devastated and I was also annoyed about my ring. To not have anyone apologise or try to assist with finding my child's lost toy put a very sad situation and one upset child to our stay. The hotel staff in general are not friendly at all. They will ignore you completely when you are trying to order drinks from the bar and chat away to eachother while guests are trying to order. There is no table service here so you must go to the bar. I find this quite disappointing, the staff service and friendliness could be improved and staff not being attentive to missing things from our room will forever leave a bad feeling for me about this hotel. More could have been done to aliviate my upset child when her teddy was taken, and no solution was offered at all. It feels as if staff do not care about your experience here at all. Overall the facilities are great but the staff and their lack of friendly attentive service could impact the quality of your stay which is a shame because this is a lovely resort.

What an amazing place. POSITIVES... Myself partner and 3 children aged 11, 8 and 22 month old came for a week on the 1st of June. We had a brilliant time. We stayed in the newly refurbished suites. Cleaned everyday by the lovely maids. Pools was great my kids loved them. We made very good friends with a few people and my kids played with them all holiday. Drinks are brilliant and so strong . There is definitely no need to upgrade to gold for branded alcohol. The soft drinks are proper Pepsi/fanta ect . Food is brilliant and definitely something for everyone even for me who is very fussy. The ice cream van was open so thay was a huge hit with the kids. They supply proper magnums, cornetos ect. Animation team both day and night was great . Kids enjoyed both. The foam party was a favourite. NEGATIVES. One thing the hotel really needs to consider is the check in time . We arrived at 10.30am to be told we couldn't check in till 12pm. They wouldn't even give us our bands to get something to drink or eat. We was expected to pay. Now that's ok but when you have spent alot of money on a holiday you expect them services when you arrive. We was all up from 1.30am in the morning and to have to sit and wait in the lobby till 12 took its toll on the children , we could of had a walk but they was just to tired. Another thing to consider is hosting events in a holiday resort. While we was there obviously the Spanish kids come for the weekend which is a given in Spain and im used to but was really really busy and they took over completely the pool with the slides and my kids didn't feel safe over there. Also while there the hotel hosted a salsa dance competition which I believe was around 1,000 guests from around the world , what a nightmare in the evening that was. I had to complain to the front desk about men just walking into the women's toilet's while I was in there with my daughter. Apart from that we had an amazing time and would most definitely come back again. Although I will email in advance if there hosting any events .

Non existent entertainment most days, and with the main door missing it was freezing at night (bar staff and reception staff had coats and heaters on) manager said the door will be fitted in 3 weeks (great) cold food and the rooms on the road side are very noisy at night, got moved on the 2nd night couldn’t take it any more. People using a microwave that was in the dining room to heat their food up yes it was the start of the season but you don’t go on holiday to sit at night with a coat on having a drink ( never a 4 star hotel). We had 2/3 days of rain and the roofs leaking with buckets catching it

As a picky family of 3, we booked this hotel last minute based on the Facebook page advising renovations were in progress! Well… how glad I am we did! From arriving in Girona airport, we were out, on the coach and in the hotel within 1 hour. Check in is 1pm however we made sure we had swimwear in our hand luggage and took ourself to the beach and to sample a cocktail or 2! When we checked in and went to our room, it was amazing. Clean, spacious and well equipped! The hairdryer in the bathroom was as good as mine (I didn’t even unpack mine). The beds comfy and the fridge in the room was a nice little extra (Lidl is a 5 minute walk so we stocked up on water and rinks for the room). The hotel is a typical ai hotel. Buffett food (you are allocated. A restaurant on arrival), a snack bar during the day near the kids pool and plenty of ice creams and a good selection of drinks! The Malibu and Diet Coke being my drink of choice! We ate out on a few occasions and did drinks out if the entertainment didn’t take our fancy! It is a 10 minute walk to the beach (good selection pd cocktail bars) or if you fancy a sports bar Nag’s head is the place to be (cash only but a cash machine near the restaurants in the hotel) The pools are amazing and no rush / dash for loungers! We changed pools depending on what sort of day we wanted! Would definitely come back again!
