While my stay at the hotel was pleasant overall, I was surprised to find that certain amenities I consider standard for a 4- or 5-star hotel were missing. Complimentary drinking water, coffee and tea, a bath towel, and a chair in the room are basic expectations at this level of service. I hope the hotel considers including these to enhance the guest experience
Is our last day here, for 6 days we had an amazing time, the staff was very friendly, and clean place, and the all-inclusive service and every activity were fantastic. The pool was clean too and I liked that the staff focused on the rules.
Genuinely a nice and clean, affordable hotel to use a base to explore salou. If I was someone who spent more time in the hotel and less on the beach and surrounding restaurants I wouldn’t recommend it. The pools are not big enough to accommodate the volume of customers and aren’t much to look at. The food isn’t worth paying any extra to be all inclusive/half board as there isn’t much choice and it...
The Hotel was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. There were no rush to put towels on loungers as there were plenty of beds available. No long queue at the bar or at the restaurant. Entertainment was great, mini arcade was a bonus for my 12 yr old.walk to the shops were 2 min away. I have not got one single fault with the hotel. I look forward to returning with my family.
I stayed here for a few days in mid April on my son's school tour and we really had a great stay , the hotel is very clean and well maintained ,the food we really enjoyed especially the various varieties which I would not normally try but did . The staff are very hard working and very friendly, the rooms are clean comfortable, will definitely come back with my family.
MedPlaya Hotel Calypso, Salou. 7 night stay. 30 March to 6 April 2024 Let's start with the good, which it mostly was... Nice, clean rooms. Big bathroom, great shower. Most rooms, if not all have balconies. Mostly friendly staff. Great swimming pools and outdoor bathing area. The food in the canteen was really good. Lockers to store your luggage on the last day, if you have late transfers. Arcade...

The hotel was nice and clean and in a good location, near to the shops and not far from the beach. When we arrived after an early morning flight we were advised that our room would not be ready until 3pm that day, some 5 hours time. Luckily I was travelling with 2 teenagers so this was not a problem., however I can imagine this would be a huge inconvenience to those travelling with small children...
Stayed here with family of 4 in early July. Hotel is great and staff are wonderful. We booked 2 seperate rooms and this was a much better option. Rooms were cleaned and maintained well throughout the week we were there. Our rooms were facing onto the street which was very noisy most nights. Im a light sleeper and struggled to sleep, my son slept well however. We stayed on HB basis and food was amazing...
We had an excellent experience at this hotel from arrival to departure. The reception team were welcoming and endlessly smiling and patient with our chaotic family including a room change at our request, lost key and rescuing us from locking ourselves on the balcony. The food was excellent with lots of variety and the dining room team were excellent at keeping everything clean and moving at busy...
I am currently at the hotel and wanted to leave this feedback now, while I care and have time. I will try to be objective and hope both future guests and hotel management will find this review useful. I am here with a 5-yo son, and overal we are having a good experience apart from a few things i will describe below. Positives - the food is great both quality and variety. Be aware, any coffee with milk...
Fantastic Stay at H10 Salou Princess - Entertainment & Service Top-Notch! We had an amazing holiday at H10 Salou Princess! The hotel overall is great! Very clean, service great. Fantastic location, couldn’t have been better. Our room was on the small side and a bit dated, but did the job. Staff were great!! Special mention to Michael and Pol at the pool bar who looked after us very well. Also Axel who was part of the entertainment team. We stayed for a week, full board, at the end of September 2024. We had intended going out to attractions in the area, but thanks to the cold wet summer, most had closed early this year and we ended up staying in the hotel complex for most of the week. We still had an amazing time, making full use of the outdoor pools, spacious sun soaked poolside lounging facilities, 3 great water slides, for anyone...
me and my boyfriend stayed here for our first holiday a couple of weeks ago. before going when we was reading all these mixed reviews we wasn’t sure what to expect. when we got there it was a MASSIVE queue for check in,but luckily managed to get through it within 30-40 mins. rooms become available to you at 3pm. the look of the hotel was very appealing and they did keep it very clean, especially the...
For a 3* hotel we're happy to rate our stay 5* out of 5* and would be happy to return. Very enjoyable and suitable for families with small children. Rooms are kept very clean, spacious enough with a small mini fridge & safe. Meals are buffet style with good and plenty of choices. The TV has some English channels and most importantly the Disney channel is Dual language and can be switched to English...
During my stay at a hotel in Barcelona, I found the rooms to be quite ordinary, with two beds arranged side by side to accommodate four people. Considering the city's typically hot weather, I decided to opt for a half-board package. However, I discovered that unless you choose an all-inclusive option, even basic amenities such as bottled water came at an additional cost, which seemed a little expensive...
Overall the stay was good. My friends and I only booked the room with no additional food. The pool outside is great with multiple sun beds still available. The indoor heated pool is worth going to if you have a hard time acclimating to water. They constantly have events on which makes me regret the fact I missed out on bingo. Communication with the staff wasn’t hard however we do have a Spanish speaking...
A hotel that has teenagers catered for. So delighted we chose this hotel for our last night in Salou & will definitely back again. Only downside was the lack of sunbeds available for the amount of guests. Pool very popular from early morning onwards.

Great food, cleanliness at a high level. The only complaint is the occasional noise made by the excursions.
Staff at reception and cleaning staff were very polite and not aggressive so that's 5 stars for service. Our shower drain wasn't working properly, the water was flooding, so we left a note while we were away and they fixed it. Rooms were difficult to find at first. But the restaurant and reception are very easy to locate thanks to pointers and signs with arrows on the floor. I haven't tried the pool...
Ok hotel, very affordable with comfortable rooms.
I spent approximately two weeks at this hotel. The rooms are adequate but unremarkable. The location is convenient, being close to both the beach and the stadium. The standout feature, however, is the exceptional staff, particularly receptionist Wojtek, who was incredibly helpful with my inquiries and efficiently resolved any issues I encountered
Very familiar and correct hotel. Very good price. The comfortable and complete rooms. Polite staff. In the dining room there was a lot of variety and dishes that I never imagined seeing in such a cheap hotel. All very rich. Very nice facilities. Clean and well-kept yards.
I went with some friends one weekend and everything was perfect, very friendly staff and great food. The room was very clean and comfortable.

I have stayed in several Generator hostels and this one is in desperate need of some repairs and upgrades. The showers are too small and constantly flooding or leaking. They are mislabelled and no one seemed to be able to tell us if the bathrooms on each floor were neutral or gendered - even though they had gendered signs on them. There were light fixtures leaking water and flooding in the main lobby...
There were always an activity in the hostel that was cool. And location was really close to center.
The room was very basic and bare, but thoroughly clean. I wish it had a small refrigerator to put some groceries or snacks, but all in all, it does the job as a place to sleep. I didn’t go to any of the events hosted by the hostel, but there were plenty.
the room is quite clean and the location is prime location. you have access to 24 hours supermarket and nice restaurants nearby. rail station is also very close. walking distance to major tourist attraction!
Hotel locates at central. Nice mood, and clean. Receptionist are so friendly, and welcoming. If I go back to Barcelona, I'll definately come back.
Great location, very nice stuff, clean and modern. The only thing thats missing - curtains on the bed. But even without them I can recommend.

It was a good stay at the hotel, we didn't face any problems. The rooms are good, but the air conditioning doesn't work. If you have a room overlooking the highway, it will be difficult to open the balcony door to get some air in, as the air conditioning won't work because the cars will disturb you and make it difficult to sleep. The food was good and varied.
The experience you get from this hotel will fully depend on who you are. English will not have a great time. Spanish guest get better service. Before arriving, I emailed the hotel to ask about whether they had allergy lists above the food due to me and my daughter both having an allergy to peanuts, I never received a reply. We noticed the use of nuts on on certain foods but with no labelling at all...
hotel is in a quite part of cambrils with a lovely beach just a two minute walk away. the rooms was very clean and house keeping came every morning. wardrobe had plenty of space and beds were comfy. the food was okay. same food every day so did get a bit boring and chicken wasn’t always cooked fully. but i would go back again and did enjoy my stay.
Hilton in Manchester wouldn't even be fit to clean this hotel's shoes—because it would only get them dirty! Pros and Cons * Pros: - The hotel has a well-divided swimming pool (0.8–1.2m & 1.5–1.7m), a separate wading pool for toddlers, and a medium-sized jacuzzi featuring two waterfall-style fountains—perfect for a soothing body massage. There are always available sun loungers for relaxation. There...
Staying here for a week, the location is good close to the beach but can be noisy from the main road! The showers are dangerous, they run from extremely hot and then cold each time we have used it! It was pretty okay The room was clean but bed wasn't really comfortable, bathroom a little bit used, small window and kind of dark inside. Overall, I won't stay here next time. It's next to ******, and there are parties nearby at night. Although it's Marriott Ritz, the overall service doesn't feel sincere. The front desk is very picky. The only thing I can recommend is the good breakfast. Facilities: It's relatively new, and the room area is quite large in Europe.. The window is blocked by structural steel frames... Hygiene: Don't expect...
Very good hotel, the service staff are very nice. Breakfast can be ordered or buffet. The Michelin restaurant Paco Perez on the first floor is worth a try. The hotel is very close to the beach, and the surrounding restaurants are very convenient. The Sagrada Familia can also be reached on foot, about 3 kilometers.
Super good hotel, service, facilities, ingredients are worthy of its star rating ~ There is also a Michelin two-star restaurant in the hotel, the hotel front desk can help to make reservations! The 11th floor where I stayed was newly renovated. Although it has a new decoration smell, the view is very good. There are automatic curtains, and the Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom has not been used. I...
Hotel Arts Barcelona lobby had great service. The spa and sauna had an extra charge of 40 euro not worthy. The hotel was nice but over priced.
The room was clean and tidy. The location was good. Someone would help call a taxi and there was a wake-up service. We noted that it was our anniversary and they decorated the room for us, put a small cake and champagne in it.

After reading many reviews before we went I was very worried and even considered cancelling but I needn't have worried. The hotel is less than a 10 min walk from the beach and there are plenty of shops where you can buy food if you're half board like us . When we arrived we tried to check in but we were told we were in the other building just past the pool so went over and we were quickly checked in...
Rooms nice and clean. Pool area very modern and nice. Hotel clean. Plenty of choice of food at breakfast and dinner wasn't too bad. About 20 mins transfer to and from airport with jet2. Would stay again.
Given many of the reviews I’d read on here, I was expecting very little, so was actually surprised when we arrived at a modern, smart looking hotel! The room was clean and modern and we also had a wrap around balcony…our luck must have been in. We went half board and could not fault the food on offer. it was a great stay... the rooms are beautiful and spacious ... there was induction as well but no cutlery in room ... there was not even a single glass or spoon. But i enjoyed my stay.
Basic but functional rooms. Bed not particularly comfortable and no extra pillows. Nice to have a fridge in the room. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Very useful having direct access to the theme park
Just enjoyed another family holiday at Hotel Gold River, we love everything about this hotel and how handy it is for the Park. It can be pretty busy in the restaurant at times, but it's never been a problem, the restaurant staff are fantastic, as is the food. The rooms surpass expectations and everything in the hotel is always clean and tidy. Can't wait to come back!
Bathroom floor was dirty when we first arrived. Bed mattress was very hard and pillows flat, fortunately we got to take extra pillows from the bed next to us. Family rooms are very good and spacious with your own kitchenette which is very useful with young children. Pools are nice. Proximity to port Aventura is great. Food in the buffet was nice but not out of this world. Pool towels are not included in this hotel so bring your own or you'll have to fork out 25-30€ per towel at the shop.
Our family loved it and we can highly recommend this themed hotel, great value for money. Our family of 6 spent 2 nights in the hotel and 3 days in the PortAventura park (short 5 minute walk). Had a wonderful stay here! We had a few issues with our first room, but the staff quickly upgraded us to an amazing room, which we truly appreciated. The reception service was outstanding. The location is literally one minute from the park—so convenient, especially with little kids.

Good hotel, you have to walk labyrinth to find your room. There are a few pools, but no swimming coats in the room. Very strange feeding system with time slots, even for breakfast, so if you missed being in time, you have to wait till the next time slot starts in half an hour or so.
This place is just so amazing. We were a group of 650 people and everything was just so well coordinated. Meals were well prepared and on time. Busses and transport was well organized. Took a walk to Ferrari Land and the play area which was so beautiful. Rooms were pretty basic with no room service. They do not keep body cream, even after requesting. English is sometimes a bit of a problem.

The hotel is nicely decorated and clean. We had access to the executive lounge which was really nice (nice view, good snacks). Good location close the beach but away from all the tourism sites
Although in an excellent location, the hotel does require some love and care, and several pieces of furniture need replacement. On the other hand, the breakfast was excellent.
This hotel is not far away from the beach, from our room we can see the mediterranean sea. It is a bit far from the city center, about 20-30 mins by metro, but it is still acceptable for us. We spent a lovely weekend in Barcelona.

But at the expense of washing floors as it is difficult. 2 weeks never and not washed under the bed. But if you don't pay attention to it, you can live. Only really very hot. Was in June, no idea what's going on in July or...
Just got back spent 5 days there ... ok seen the reviews and thought no way but for the price it was far better than the reviews state .. lively and lots of groups but give them some credit what do you expect for the price cheaper than any hostel with booze and food chucked in was cleaned daily and pool area perfect ..close to beach and nightlife a budget hotel at a budget price
Of the minuses: noisy in the Dorm, zero soundproofing in the rooms, no konduga, the interior is not modern, repairs made on 3.5/5, wifi paid (5evr day 20 for 7 days). However: the water is hot always and immediately, bathroom rules, there is even a bidet, bed sheets changed every day, fed for slaughter
Was three days in early may. The hotel is old. Furniture killed, TV not LCD, so remote from him in pledge did not take. Bathroom good, bed linen clean. Cleaning amused - took out the trash, took the towels and not put new. I had to go in the evening at the reception. Cold nights, the hotel comprises a battery. Pleasant surprise - good food.
It would have been nice if not for the drunk German youth.
Was here 2 weeks ago for a 3 night stay. Can't complain to much as only paid €117 for full board for the 2 of us. Food was ok, but the whole hotel needs a complete make over. Also would avoid in summer months when stag and hen parties and groups of youngsters are staying in the hotel.

Beautiful views, fine clean sand, a cozy bay and enough space on the beach. The rooms are quite cozy, for 4 person was a plenty of room. In the room was a hairdryer, bedclothes were changed every three days, towels each day, in a toilet there wasn't an extractor hood, as a result, the air in the bathroom was constantly humid and poorly ventilated. The corridors are covered with old, worn-out carpet...
A holiday above expectations! It was the first time in Salou and the first time at the Best Cap Salou hotel, we had seen from the photos how beautiful the structure was, but in person it is even more so. We spent 8 nights in this magnificent place together with our child, we can say that the structure has everything, nothing is missing. From the swimming pools with slides and games for both adults...
As another reviewer has said earlier, a lot of the negative reviews are largely unfair and more to do with people's unrealistic expectations. It's a three star hotel with a water splash park that is an attractive destination for families with young kids. If you want luxury and a tranquil holiday then this hotel isn't for you! The hotel and their staff copes remarkably well with the sheer volume of...
First time being in Salou. I went with my sister's and nephew. Nephew loved the both pools especially the the one with the slides and the little arcade they had by the 2nd pool by the bar. Great food different choices each day as well. We had half board so we ate at breakfast and dinner. Room was good but definitely could do with some updating. The room was cleaned everyday my the cleaners which was...
The negative comments are not fair. The description of the hotel that you find on booking is true and fits the reality. First of all you must understand where you are going, it is a 3 star hotel without luxuries. It meets the basic requirements of having a good bed, clean, air conditioning and a full buffet. DO NOT expect quality food, it is buffet food, varied and of standard quality. You should also...
Great hotel, a lot of foods to choose from during the meals and the pools are great, but the WiFi doesn't really work and the beach isn't the cleanest but it isn't bad. There's nothing really around the closest area to the hotel, only a few shops and restaurants, but nothing really interesting, but you can use a bus to get to other places like Salou, Tarragona or even Barcelona. The hotel is very kid...

After reading previous reviews we were unsure of what to expect and we upgraded to a suite. We travelled as 2 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 7. The suite was lovely. Clean and spacious, a huge comfy bed and sofa bed for the children which was also comfortable. The air con worked and there was plenty of storage space for clothes and a lovely bathroom. Perfect balcony with 2 sun loungers and whirlpool...
very disappointed overall. Although the hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff (especially the restaurant staff) were very unfriendly. The restaurant was like a grab for all and trying to get a sun lounger was virtually impossible. When we finally got three sun loungers, someone else had the audacity to take them and left our stuff on the floor. The food was not the best, with most meats been...
The restaurant is well-organized. The rooms are neat. The service is very friendly. The location is very good. Parking is a problem. The spa only has a jacuzzi and a sauna
stayed for one week 6 adults and a toddler, the restaurant is unbelievable there is every thing you can want to choose from, staff very polite, bar was great, room was fine, can t fault this hotel what soever we all really enjoyed our stay, and would come back, thank you to all the staff for making our stay enjoyable muchos gracias
We had a great outlook over the pool & high enough you could just see the sea. We had breakfast only and there was lots of lovely fresh food fresh fruit, pastries, hot food, delicious breads. Coffee was really good. Pool area was clean & spacious. No rushing to get a sun lounger which was great. Room was a little old fashioned however it was clean, bed & pillows were comfortable & it had a great shower...
First of all take bad reviews with a huge pinch of salt. Half way through our stay and the staff are friendly, breakfast is great and no silly queues. The walls are not thin in the rooms.as for evening buffet I can't comment on as we chose breakfast only. Great hotel and staff for the price.

The overall should have been great but how disappointed that the hotel charged my credit card with extra 10% without reasonable explanation. After raising my query for 15 mins, they finally admitted that it was their mistake but still saying ‘don’t know why’. End up they agreed to refund the over charge to my credit card account. Couldn’t believe that such a big name of hotel would have done that...
Beautiful property with a nice location. I especially enjoyed breakfast and a roof top restaurant where the service was great and employees so friendly. Additional charge for in-house SPA was a surprise.
Hotel have modern facilities, spacious rooms, and luxurious atmosphere. The rooftop bar with panoramic views is amazing. The location is convenient for sightseeing, close to landmarks such as the Magic Fountain and Montjuïc. While service is generally highlighted as excellent, occasional mentions of slower service during peak times. Slightly disappointed with limited option for vegetarian. Overall...
Location is bit far away from major attraction Room is very clean and bed very comfortable , slept like a baby  Service is just okay, rooms for improvement
Great place. Location is very convenient- quiet area but close to metro station (just 2 stops to touristic city center). View from the terrace is spectacular! Overall very high standard. The Lounge managed very well with absolutely great staff - team working in this hotel is the strongest point of this place. We spent there 3 nights and will definitely come back.
Overall stay was pleasant and nice new hotel facilities. Room size is big which fits us with the number of luggage we travel with. Generally staff were pleasant though not all are with smiles. Near downtown with taxi approx 15mins. Enjoyed the breakfast spread and we were happy with the stay.
