The room is small and the location is a short tram ride away from the station, but the overall CP value is quite high. There are many supermarkets next to the hotel, which is very convenient. You can also walk all the way to the station and go shopping along the way.

I would have given this hotel 5 stars except it is not on the Lake but a main street is in front. I had ordered a room with a lake view with a terrace thinking that there was no street. This is the classic hotel of the town. Located up on a hill, a short easy walk into the town if you feel like it if not the hotel has many mini vans that will take you down and pick you up. Our stay at Hotel Savoy was truly wonderful. The location was perfect — right in the heart of the city, close to shops and attractions. The room was spotless and beautifully maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The staff were warm, professional, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.

Very conveniently located near Bern station and tourist sights. Also close to a tram stop (Barenplatz) that makes it easy to get to museums and so on. Room was comfortable and quiet.

I understand this isn't the hotels fault but the children in the hotel are absolutely unbearable. I slept incredibly poorly the entire time.
