Hotel Phoenix in Zermatt

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Phoenix in Zermatt. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with modern and comfortable rooms that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring the mountains.

The location is excellent—conveniently close to the train station while still offering a peaceful atmosphere. The facilities were outstanding, especially the spa and wellness area, which was the perfect place to unwind. The relaxation areas were clean, well-maintained, and added so much value to the stay.

The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, providing a great start to each day. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was the hospitality of the staff. Every member of the team was warm, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. Their professionalism and attention to detail made me feel genuinely well taken care of throughout my stay.

I highly recommend Hotel Phoenix to anyone visiting Zermatt. Whether you’re here for skiing, hiking, or simply to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, this hotel offers the perfect combination of comfort, excellent facilities, and outstanding service. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Beautiful hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast is perfect for starting the day, and the rooms are beautiful, spacious, and very clean. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the train station, and public transportation is also very convenient if you don’t want to walk. I highly recommend this hotel!

The Phoenix hotel is in a good location with 7 mins walking from the train station and 5 mins to COOP supermarket and a blue-line e-bus stop is 2 mins away. 👍 The room is very clean and spacious and equipped with a small refrigerator and a coffee machine. 👏 A breakfast has various alternatives and great before a long day hike and trip in Zermatt. We would like to give a huge thank 🌟 to hotel reception and staffs to help us out in many ways including recommending us for day trip and beautiful scenery trails for hiking. From balcony, we can see the Matterhorn in horizon and it is always lovely. 🤩 Big plus is hotel's reasonable price. Very recommend 🤟

Had a pleasure to be one of the first guests in the refurbished hotel and really liked the new style and design of the lobby and corridors. A quiet place for a getaway. Just can imagine staying there in winter would be spectacular because of the location- hotel is on the small hill with the mountain and the Matterhorn😍

Great place to stay. The staff was super friendly. I speak German so that made it easier, but I think they would have switched to English with no problems.

If you get a room with Matterhorn views, as for the 4th floor. We were on the 2nd, and although the room was fantastic , the view was a glimpse of the Matterhorn. 4th would have a better view over the adjacent buildings.
The breakfast was fantastic, especially if you like a German styled breakfast (iykyk).
Definitely recommend!

Nice buffet breakfast

10 minutes away from the train station, there is a short uphill road, the room terrace can see the Matterhorn, clean and tidy, breakfast is normal, the staff is kind, but it's a pity that the hotel does not provide microwave ovens and water kettles, there is hot water, but it is not available until you go to the basement

Cosy hotel with matterhorn view from balcony. The breakfast spread is superb, love the variety of cheese and coffee machine.

Located near to train station, about 7min walk. Accessible to the main street as well. Fabulous hotel!
