The room is clean and of a good size — not too small — with housekeeping services and breakfast provided every day. The price is reasonable as well.
We were very lucky to get a room facing the station, allowing us to enjoy a stunning view of the Matterhorn from our balcony in the morning.
The lady at reception was incredibly kind. Upon our arrival, she recommended several sightseeing spots in Zermatt. Today, when she learned that we were heading to Gornergrat, she thoughtfully advised us to sit on the right side of the train to enjoy the best views.
Before we checked out, she even helped us by asking the kitchen if they could prepare an early breakfast for us since we had to catch the Glacier Express the next morning. This thoughtful gesture meant a lot to us.
I would definitely recommend staying at Hotel Sarazena in Zermatt!
