amazing experience, we were unable to see matterhorn clearly on the mountains due to the weather, but luckily were able to catch a full clear view in our hotel rooms right before leaving in the last day! Def recommended to book the rooms with a mountain view if you want a sure chance of seeing matterhorn!

The hotel is conveniently located near the station, only an 8-minute walk away. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; they promptly assisted us with everything we needed, including power adapters and a kettle.
However, the hotel is showing its age. Some of the power outlets were a bit deformed, making it difficult to plug things in. Also, the Wi-Fi was very slow and disconnected frequently. Aside from these technical issues, everything else was excellent.

We booked it last min and we were so luckily as it was the last room of that day due to peak season. The hotel itself is average and definitely suit for anyone who have low budget yet want to explore Zermatt. I would highly recommended anyone to book here. It the staffs made you felt so welcoming and friendly

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s close to the main train station and gornergrat bahn. Rooms were spacious, wonderful breakfast spread and friendly service crew at the front desk.

We arrived in the afternoon, and both of our rooms were placed right next to the elevator. We immediately pointed out that it would be too noisy and disturb our rest, but the hotel claimed there were no other rooms available. We had no choice but to contact Trip.com, and finally, they said we could switch rooms, but each room would incur a 60 CHF cleaning fee. We explained that we hadn't touched anything in the rooms, but the hotel insisted that a cleaning fee applies as soon as someone enters. This is clearly a scam. First, the hotel had other rooms available but gave us the worst ones, right next to the elevator. Then, if you want to switch rooms, they implicitly charge you. Is there also an element of discrimination against Chinese people involved here? The rooms are tiny, and the shower stall is so small you can barely turn around.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the train station, and the service is warm and attentive. Although our triple room's balcony didn't offer a view of the Matterhorn, the scenery was still beautiful, and we could watch the red trains passing by.

Unique venue, good for a night out. The gallery / movie theatre / concert hall turns into a club at night. The venue is split into several floors, each having its own ambiance.

We staying in backstage hotel serviced apartment for 2 nights, good facilities and view from the apartment however the distance to walk to the Main Street is a bit far for us because we have children and infant with us.
The checkout procedure is troublesome, because we need to go to the hotel to do checkout.

Cool hotel with a modern design. We really enjoyed the SPA experience, the floating room in particular. The staff are really friendly and attentive. We would like to thank Chris and Mila in particular who were really helpful, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. The hotel is located in a great location, close to near by shops and restaurants. The rooms are really cozy with a fire place which really adds to the romance. We loved it so much we ended up staying an extra night. Thank you, Backstage Boutique hotel, we will be back!
