Where to stay with pets in Zermatt

There is a spa for adults on the lower level, along with a boot room in the hotel and a ski room in the garage across the street. The hotel recommended ski instructors and rental services, all of which were excellent

Pamela and I stayed four nights in their "garden suite" on the ground floor. Spacious room and facilities with a view of the Matterhorn through all windows and our walk out patio

There is an outdoor terrace with a clear view of the Matterhorn to relax on. The homemade breakfast buffet each morning was also amazing. There are so many thoughtful special touches here :)

We were seeking a family run hotel in a great location and the Bella Vista ticked all the boxes. The location is a short walk in to the village and nicely removed from all the associated noise

At times the staff multitask between front desk and terrace duties and they do it with grace. The view from our room and the main terrace was like a postcard with the Matterhorn dominating the skyline

The location is pretty central and it is an easy walk to the Sunnegga lift and also the bus to the Matterhorn Express lift. We had a great stay and would certainly consider this hotel again should we return to Zermatt

This hotel exceeded expectations. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms with 2 kids. The pull out couch chairs were perfect for them. The ski room was great with boot warmers and a place to store our skis overnight

This happened 2 times for us and of course a major concern was ‘where can we stay?’ The Elite team of Marianne and Annalena always took our stress level down and provided us with a calm ‘don’t worry you will be OK’ and offer to help with ‘anything’

The hotel is the white house shown in the first picture. The room was quite small, but the breakfast was decent and pretty abundant. It's located in the middle of town, close to the church

Hotel location is good and good view

Charming place just off the Main Street. Lovely friendly staff and the rooms had a wonderful coffee machine in them. Not the greatest breakfast selection but enough for satisfaction.

The hotel was quite easy to find actually. Just follow the directions on Google Map. We had the family room which was at the top level (2 flight of stairs) and comes with a balcony

Overall, the value for money is alright. Zermatt has tons of hotels, so there are many choices, but very few are available for booking on Ctrip

Great hotel at a great location (on the other side of the main river) with being exactly between the 2 cable cars which take you to the fabulous mountains

The Astoria is conveniently located in the middle of town, surrounded by lively bars and restaurants

Have to say this was a wildcard. For 10 years we stayed at the same hotel in Zermatt, was always our “home,” however when an offer comes up at 180chf less for 2 nights we decided to wildcard it - did not regret at all

Great Service in a small but cozy hotel. The hotel is for sure not your standout 5 stars hotel but it has 5 stars service. Marc (the owner) is so helpful that you would not like to go to any other hotel

The Astoria is reasonably priced(for Zermatt) we paid circa €1,200 for 4 nights in March. If you are looking for a good value, authentic Zermatt hotel, the Astoria is for you, we will be back!

Cosy hotel with matterhorn view from balcony. The breakfast spread is superb, love the variety of cheese and coffee machine. Located near to train station, about 7min walk. Accessible to the main street as well

It's a bit of a walk on the way back. It's more convenient to call a car. If the weather is cold, I recommend calling a car to go in. The bed is small and nice.

Amazing location with great view. Our room was on the roof floor, and view was just spectacular. Nice mountains hugging you around, Matterhorn ahead and view to the stars thru ceiling windows

The views were superb; the Matterhorn was right outside my room window. The hotel is located at an altitude of 2583 meters, and breakfast and dinner are included, with a train ride from the train station to the mountain

The dinner included in half board - you could choose from a few positions on the menu. Breakfast good and with many options. Located right next to the cable car station

The hotel is a nice mountain hotel with good basic rooms. Loved early morning sunrise that created a spotlight on the Matterhorn. Just Stunning! Breakfast and dinner is included in the overnight price

‘Hotel Schwarzsee’ is one of the places to stay if you like to be close to the Matterhorn. From here you can hike early up to Hörnli Hütte. We took the Gondola up to Schwarzsee and stayed overnight

He also made sure we got a coffee early morning what was highly aprechiated. We liked staying here and hope to be back one day. It’s also a great place to come for only lunch

**Location**: Super convenient, just a 5-minute walk from the train station, even with large luggage. It's also very close to the Blacknose sheep and the mountain trails. **Room**: A bit old-fashioned but quite clean

The hotel is only about a 5 minute walk from the train station, which is very convenient. However, check-in needs to be done at another hotel located behind this one, which can be a bit confusing at first

Two restaurants are located outside of its doors. It's so centrally located to everything. I couldn't have found a better location this this. It's outside of the train station, yet you don't hear trains noise

I stayed at Hotel Bahnhof around third week of September 2022. Amazing location next to the train station and shopping mall. In less than 2 minutes, you can walk to stores or visitor center or train station

As a solo traveler, I find this place perfect for my needs. Located next to train and Gornergrat stations, close to supermarkets. Provides fully equipped kitchen. Personal is extremely helpful and nice

For all of you who have criticised this hotel, I need to put the record straight. I stayed for 7 nights over Christmas

This hotel has a fantastic location across the road from the main station and right beside the Gornergrat railway and buses. It is an ancient Swiss Chalet Hotel with the characteristics of said era

I knew about people saying to the hotel, but in the other side the hotel located in front the main station and supermarket just beside the corner

Hotel was in a great location in Zermatt. We had a room with a balcony with views of the Matterhorn. Room had a strange tub and shower setup. The room only had one electrical outlet for charging our devices

Great location. Chalet staff were super. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but overall the accommodation is quite compact.

This is THE place if you're in Zermatt! Ask for Room 4, which has a large balcony looking right out on the river and the Matterhorn. Breakfast was lovely and the staff are great. The restaurant downstairs is wonderful!

Very convenient location - adjacent to the river running through Zwrmatt - 5 mins walk from train station and 5 mins walk from Sunnegga station (vertical tunnel up through mountain)

When we arrived, Diana quickly guided us to the lower floor for the lift as we have heavy luggages. Diana and her teammates always make us feel very welcoming to the hotel and to breakfast

We stayed here for two nights (Fri & Sat). It's approximately 10-15 minutes walk from the train station and a nice short walk into the main street for food, drinks, shopping, etc

Really a nice place to stay in Zermatt. Free local electric bus and a five minute walk after that will get you to the hotel. Staff is respectful and breakfast is good

The staff were very polite & helpful, our room fob was waiting for us upon arrival. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was warm, with extra blankets if needed

Rhodania is about 10 to 15 mins from Zermatt Station, but with a mere 3 mins walk, you can reach the bridge where you can have the spectacular view of Matterhorn

Breakfast was provided and they also offered luggage storage, so the service was good. However, due to the structure of the building, there is no elevator, so it was difficult to carry heavy luggage up and down

The room was small, but the location was great. I booked two rooms, and only one had a balcony, which was very comfortable

I could watch the people going by on the street, or look out at the clock tower and listen to the chimes, which was very romantic. The other room was just average

Value for money is what you are looking for here. The hotel is clean, has everything you need and is nearer to the station than any other hotel in this town

Only downsides were there is no elevator and they don't accept credit cards, but absolutely worth the stay. The hostess was very warm and welcoming

Walking distance to the train station and everything. When you come in, there's a note with your name and room key. It's nice after long travels to just get your key and go to your room

However getting access to public transport is not difficult or far. Service and courteous helpful staff - room was compact but clean and it was fine by me as I was a solo traveler and I spent very little time in the room

Hotel Matthiol was our favorite stay in Switzerland! The hotel is tucked just outside the main part of Zermatt, which made it feel peaceful and private, but it was still an easy walk into town, and the complimentary shuttle was a nice bonus

We stayed in a spa room with a sauna, steam shower, and a big soaking tub right by the window overlooking the mountains. The self-guided spa was perfect for relaxing, and the massage we booked was absolutely worth it

The location is excellent, very close to the station, practically in the center of town. The staff were very attentive, and you could feel everyone striving to make guests as satisfied as possible

The hotel's decor is also very unique and photogenic, but to be honest, the rooms are rather small, the interior design is somewhat impractical, and there are too many glass items that are easy to break

Therefore, you have to be very careful when moving around the room, making it difficult to relax

The room space is very large, the overall decor facilities and other 10 points good, the TV can also connect to Netflix. The breakfast was good and the hotel had other facilities although not enjoyed, but 10 points good

Just had an amazing amazing stay at Schloss Zermatt! The hotel staff WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND to provide us top-notch services! We were able to celebrate my friend’s birthday with surprises prepared by the staff which included flowers, chocolates, and cake! Steps away from the train station with incredible spa and amenities. The breakfast and tea time with desserts daily was a cherry on top. Room service comes from a cute Italian place down the way and is great

Location is very good as it is not far away from the train station. It has also the electric cars that they can come and pick you up, useful if you are having many luggages and your skiing equipment

Stayed at Hotel Albana Real with a group. We all enjoyed the hotel. Rooms were large and quiet. Spa was enjoyed by all. Restaurant did a good job with breakfast and catered to our preferences.

First stay in this hotel, good location with a short walk to the town and to the lifts. It has many facilities on site, boot / ski room, gym and pool. Rooms are a good size and more traditional alps style
