Where to stay with pets in Zermatt

We stayed here for the sixth year in a row, and we hope many years will follow. For us, it's the perfect hotel, even in a very charming place like Zermatt that has many options. - location, location, location

The rumour says that twice a year some careless tourists from Cervinia miss the last ride back from Zermatt to Italy……in March 2026 we were those guys…

after finding out we had to spend the night in Furi, we were lost but were so kindly welcomed by the whole Team of this family run hotel. They made us feel at home, we had the most amazing and unexpected evening

truly ski-in, ski-out, and convenient to ski to Italy/Cervina, as well as the Zermatt/Sunnega area - the rooms are extremely cosy (warm wood) and comfortable (the chromecast tv is a new nice feature), beds are good, good room service, very clean - good ski room, boot dryers etc - the wellness area is very clean, compact, well organized, varied (sauna, steam, underground pool, bubble baths in the pool...

This is my second winter holiday at Silvana. It’s an absolutely idyllic location for slope and snow lovers. All the staff are super friendly and treated us like family. This is our home away from home

Our room faced the Matterhorn directly! Absolutely stunning! In the morning, you don't even need to go to a viewpoint to see the 'golden' sunrise on the mountain, and the evening view is just as incredible! This hotel is completely worth it just for the views alone! The service, needless to say, was exceptional and very attentive! Someone was there to pick us up right at the train station when we arrived...

This hotel is excellent; I would rate it as a 5-star accommodation in this city. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and all amenities are provided, including unlimited free drinks at the in-room bar

There's also a free shuttle service to Zermatt train station, and the reception staff were incredibly friendly. When I checked out, the owner came to greet me. Overall, I was very impressed

My room had a view of the mountain peaks from my balcony. The breakfast selection was extensive, and the staff constantly asked if I wanted any drinks

Everything was perfect. The staff was amazing, on our last day as we leave at 5a.m. they have prepared an excellent breakfast box. We really enjoyed our stay there.

We stayed at Antare for a few days after finishing Walker’s Haute Route hike and we had great time there. The hotel is in a quieter area but with walking distance to Zermatt town center

The best located hotel in the town, great breakfast, the room itself is a bit vintage/old vibe but it’s fine.

Unfortunately, I didn’t like how dirty the carpeting is, so if you’re like me and get grossed out by that, bring slippers! Breakfast was amazing and some tables have a view of the Matterhorn

The interior layout and design are very cleverly using the elements of the Matterhorn. Moreover, we only made a temporary reservation at 6 or 7 last night. The lady at the front desk upgraded our room type

Because I was in a hurry to go up the mountain in the morning, I didn’t take any photos, but the breakfast is very rich, with various fresh fruits such as strawberries and kiwis, freshly fried meats such as bacon and grilled sausages, as well as vegetables such as broccoli and mushrooms, as well as various breads, juices and milk, and even freshly squeezed orange juice

All good. The hotel upgraded our room. Service very nice. Breakfast very nice. The only minor negative point is the fact that the hotel didn't provide toothbrush. Except this everything was perfect

The staff are friendly and the drinks in the mini bars are free..... They are generous with the food, they even have bread, nuts and fruits all day next to the check-in desk.

You can also go to the bar and order a cappuccino. In short, you can eat very satisfying! The best thing is that this hotel also has a pick-up service

This hotel is our lucky hotel! We ended the bitter wind and rain in Switzerland here and finally saw the Matterhorn! This hotel itself is also great

Two restaurants are located outside of its doors. It's so centrally located to everything. I couldn't have found a better location this this. It's outside of the train station, yet you don't hear trains noise

I stayed at Hotel Bahnhof around third week of September 2022. Amazing location next to the train station and shopping mall. In less than 2 minutes, you can walk to stores or visitor center or train station

As a solo traveler, I find this place perfect for my needs. Located next to train and Gornergrat stations, close to supermarkets. Provides fully equipped kitchen. Personal is extremely helpful and nice

Really friendly and welcoming reception staff, easy check in and great location (just opposite train station). Female dorm room was clean and had small individual lockers for your valuables

If you have budget, highly recommend to book the room with Matterhorn View, very convenient for you to see the golden view of the matterhorn during sunrise. The facilities - spa and swimming pool, are great too

We had a balcony with a front row view of the Matterhorn which was breathtaking- ask for a room with that view! Gabriel greeted us when we arrived and he/his staff were all so friendly

Recently remodeled and looks brand new. Pull the curtains and view the Matterhorn from your bed. The balcony has great views of Zermatt and the Matterhorn. Everything in town is within walking distance

Our room was spacious and had amazing view on Matterhorn from the balcony and even the bed! We were also using the swimming pool after the whole day of hiking and the pool was great

Welschen is a phenomenal hotel in all respects and highly recommended for a stay in Zermatt. The property is beautiful and newly renovated with spacious rooms and stylish amenities

The owner, Mr Welschen, works the front desk and even picks up guests at the train station himself. And the location is unbeatable sitting directly above the Sunnega lift. Really a wonderful experience

Can’t beat it! The location is about 10 minutes walk from the train station and downtown area. You do go uphill, so prepare for a little trek if you have heavy or multiple luggage’s

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in Zermatt! It was a very comfortable atmosphere, from the lobby to the rooms! The beds were very comfortable and inviting! Thomas was a great help with a lot of wonderful suggestions for things to do and where to eat dinner! We met the owner on our last morning, and we could tell she took so much pride in her hotel

The hotel is located a little uphill, so the view is great. You can see the Matterhorn from the rooftop. There are also chairs and tables, which is great. The hotel staff were very kind and very nice

Check in time is 3 PM, but if you arrive early, they will let you leave your luggage in the dining area so you can walk around the town or go hiking. Breakfast is included and was pretty good

The hotel is located on a small slope near the church. While it's a bit far from the train station, it's also not too far from the cable car station that takes you to the Matterhorn

We visited Suitenhotel Zurbriggen for the 4th time to celebrate our wedding anniversary and do some hiking. Such an incredibly special place. It is located such that it has totally unobstructed views of the Matterhorn

Among the things that amazed us was the food taste , presentation and inspiration on the ways of Janis on how to handle a non the less simple ingredient pallete but make it in such an artfull and perfect way that every single bite got us excited

Our room had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn, and it was very clean and peaceful, as it's not located near the main street. Do note that you'll need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste

I think Alpenblick is a nice hotel to stay for when you're in Zermatt. The room is big with balcony, when you can have your lunch, dinner or supper with some views of houses on the mountain

Four of us stayed for one night in two rooms at Alpenblick Superior during our trip to Switzerland. The location is about a 10-minute walk from the train station

It's abit deep to walk from the Zermatt train station, literally you have to walk until the end of the village and they do not offer any free shuttle to pick or drop you to the station

But i love the room, the bed and i also asked for extra pillows as the pillows given was too soft. Not much amenities, they have water kettles, coffee and tea provided

Highly recommend this place if you plan to stay in Zermatt. Very close to the Sunnegga station and the train station. Our room came with free breakfast and it was such a treat before leaving

We truly had a good stay because their friendly staffs, good breakfast, clean room and the pick-up service they provided. Also, they are near by the gondola station of Matterhorn bergbahnen

Hotel is clean and the mountain view is extraordinary. Staff is also really really nice. One of our friend lost his passport, staff is very helpful and finally found it.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Alpenroyal. The highlight was definitely waking up to an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn from our balcony, truly postcard-perfect

The hotel has a heated pool and whirlpool inside, with the same view of the Matterhorn and crane, and they also have a way to go down to the village level by taking an elevator and then walking thru a tunnel

Enjoy a retro log cabin experience. The hotel offers a free shuttle service. The only downsides are that there's construction going on nearby, a large scaffolding obstructs the view, and there's no elevator

Room was big, comfortable and firm beds as we like it, and the shower was in a tub with a curtain, so water didn't spray everywhere! The room would have had a SUPER view of the Matterhorn, except there was a huge crane right in our way, so we had to go outside and down the hill a little way 7ntul we had a good view - nothing the hotel could do about it

Nice hotel but the only setback is i booked 2 rooms but one room without lift which i need to hand carry up the stair case Also no kettle been provided, i guess this is basic requirement

We stayed as a couple and found the hotel to be small but incredibly cozy. It's conveniently located just a 5-6 minute walk from the station and right on the river.

Most helpful of them to have included a safe, conveniently located wall plugs and specially designed two-way open windows that allow cool air to enter the room from the top of the window instead of only allowing them to be opened outwards which will be too cold for the night

Our newly renovated roof top room for families (with older kids because of the steps leading to the roof top bed and they’re worried about safety) was extremely spacious, sound-proofed, comfortable, with pretty views, and was very warm in mid-December - we didn’t even use the heating

What could be better than watching the sunset from the outdoor whirlpool or sitting in the sauna, infrared sauna, or the steam room? The free breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh fruit, hard and soft cheeses, meats, breads, cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and assorted toppings for yogurt, muesli, and oatmeal

We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Capricorn. Rooms and entire hotel was clean and had an excellent ambiance. Breakfast was excellent every morning and was included. The spa was spacious and had good hours

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Hotel Capricorn. We chose a Matterhorn view room which was cabin style with a balcony - the room is on the small side but there is a little cupboard and luggage rack to keep things tidy

This was just a terrific hotel. The whole place was very clean and there were lots of little touches that showed thoughtfulness (e. a basket in the hall had lightweight lap blankets to use if chilly sitting on balcony)

The room is nice, the breakfast is hearty, the wellness including spa and sauna is the best. We can see Matterhorn from our room every day, and there are black face sheep at the mountain on our right
