Where to stay in Zermatt

A perfect small family run Swiss hotel. It would be very difficult to find a nicer hotel in Zermatt.

The Regina family, Franz Lerjen-Perren and the lovely staff hosted us with such warm hospitality. The hotel is simply phenomenal and well above any expectations we had. Junior suites are spacious with great Matterhorn views. Staff was very helpful throughout the stay. Breakfast was terrific and plentiful and they offer baggies and bread for take away sandwhiches. Best part is the hotel has its own exclusive elevator to the gondola station. So cool! (And convenient). Berghof is one of the best examples of a Swiss family owned/run hotel in Zermatt.

Clean room and very pretty, even though it was mid-October it still got hot in the room and there was no fan so we just kept the sliding door open a little bit throughout the night and that worked! Wonderful breakfast. Comfortable rooms with a balcony. Obviously fairly recently renovated. There is no air con in the Cosy Chic room, which wasn't too much of an issue despite being August but in a heatwave it may be.

I have been to Zermatt many times, and this is my first time staying at this hotel. If you bring your children with you, you still need to pay even if you don't use an extra bed, and it's not low. Unique hotel — it’s everything I dreamed of for a perfect honeymoon in Zermatt. The service is outstanding, just a few minutes’ walk from the train station. The room is clean and cozy, with a beautiful view and a lovely balcony.

My favourite place to stay in Zermatt! It really is a unique and special place. Rooms are lovely and cosy, modern chalet style. The hotel has multiple restaurants, bars and even a club downstairs, with a rich history of hosting musicians and celebrities. It ticks every box if you're looking for a fun trip that combines skiing, comfort, great food and exciting "apres".

Absolutely outstanding stay at Hotel Zermama. With its boutique vibes you really feel like a valued guest. Fondue on the balcony is great, views of the Matterhorn are incredible, the faux fur robes are 10/10 warm. It’s literally across from the mountain cable car for skiing. We had a lovely time here - the hotel was kind enough to allow an early check in. The Sauna and pool facilities are larger than expected and tucked underground where the ski closets are. There is a separate elevator right to the ski closets. The room was large and there’s even a small kitchenette to facilitate meals in the room. This hotel has a fantastic view. My sister loves reading novels here. She spends her days playing cards and chatting in the courtyard, and you can even see the Matterhorn. The scenery is superb, and it's very peaceful and relaxing.

Just a 10-second walk from Nihonjin-bashi, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Matterhorn. The location is absolutely fantastic! The room was clean and offered a nice view as well. While it wasn't a Matterhorn-view room, we still enjoyed a lovely view of the Zermatt townscape. If I get the chance to visit again, I would definitely want to stay here.

We love Hotel Antika, this was our second stay in 12 months. Rooms are very clean and fresh, with nice toiletries. My only niggle would be that the pillows are too flat to be supportive but extra pillows were delivered to our room quickly on request. Staff are all very friendly and front desk extremely helpful. A bit far from the train station but it is reachable by taking a bus. The hotel requires a bit of uphill walk after getting off the bus. A bit inconvenient for carrying luggage and ski equipment. Room is a bit small. But it’s clean and provides all the essentials for a ski trip.

Good services and hygiene with tranquility

Zermatt isn't very big, and it takes about fifteen minutes to walk from the train station to the hotel. The hotel facilities are a bit old, and the elevator is quite vintage, but luckily it's well-maintained and very clean. I recommend it.

The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station, uphill. If you have a lot of luggage, take a taxi. The rooms are clean, the staff are very friendly, and the breakfast is delicious.

The hotel is very good, clean and hygienic, with complete facilities and equipment. It has a swimming pool, wet and dry steam, and the service is very good. It is located in the center of the town. We picked this hotel because it has some rooms with a view of the Matterhorn. The staff were very friendly, the hotel is super clean and the beds are comfortable. It is quite a hike to the hotel from the train station so you may want to take a taxi to the hotel with your luggage. I was so glad it was a bit away from the town center, although it was only 15 min walk away. With convenient electric bus, going around was so easy. And the fact that you have no other building between your room and Matterhorn, what more would you want. I want to go back there again soon even with exorbitant price in Switzerland.

We LOVED the Hotel Plateau-Rosa! It's really near the Glacier Express gondola which was just a short walk to get to and fun to watch go over while sitting on our balcony with wine and snacks in the evening. The room was very comfortable and beautiful. Great view of the Matterhorn!! Breakfast was included and delicious! The hiking trail to Z'Mutt was nearby and great. We hiked the Matterhorn Glacier...

Great view from the property. Charming hotel. Very nice staff that accommodated our changes and took good care of my daughter when she arrived alone. The location is a ways from the train station so one should consider hiring transportation from the train station to the hotel.
