Teak Wing Hotel Samui in Chaweng Beach

The Teak is a new hotel, owned by the same company as Blue Lagoon across the road.
It's still a building site (Feb 2018).
Only a few rooms in one building are currently in use so there is always plenty of sun loungers available around the 108m pool.
The pool is 1 depth, about 1.6 meters and is very murky, still needs bedding in and there was a man working on it everyday.
Currently the hotel consists of a reception, few rooms and the pool.
Breakfast is in a restaurant out on the road.
You can use the facilities of Blue Lagoon such as the gym and pool.
It's very close to the end of the airport runway and I measured aircraft taking off at 85dB.
There's very little paint up except in the rooms, so it's mainly just bare concrete and dusty.
The shower in my first room (336) flooded the whole room, the drain being overloaded by the shower and water rising over the tiny lip of the shower wet room.
One side of the pool is in shade from about 1 pm and the sun sets behind the building about 4pm
They charged me 500b for a 3pm late check out.
I ordered a taxi for the airport and having sat waiting for it, eventually walk out on to the street and hailed 1 myself.
I'd stay here again but probably not for a year or 2 until they've actually finished construction.
I say a year or 2 however as I never saw more that 2 people working at any one time, maybe even longer.
They also clearly need to get some more experienced and capable staff.
