Reviews
Design: The rooms and facilities are beautiful, with exquisite taste that combines luxury and comfort. It's clear that everything is either new or immaculately maintained.
High-level Gastronomy: The restaurant is a major highlight, from the varied and high-quality breakfast to dinner. Excellent cuisine.
Service: The staff are the heart and soul of the place. Always kind, helpful, and anticipating our needs.
A refuge of luxury and good taste in Chiang Mai. Highly recommended for those who aren't content with the standard.
What a truly lovely stay. I visited several 5-star hotels during my trip to Thailand, but my time at this hotel in Chiang Mai Old Town is one of my absolute favourites. The women at the front desk were incredibly kind, graceful, and welcoming - they made me feel instantly at home. Their gracious hospitality has stayed with me long after checkout, and I find myself wishing I had taken the time to thank them properly or capture a photo together.
The spa experience was also memorable. I mentioned to the masseuse that I hadn’t slept well for two nights, and she took such thoughtful care of me, even sharing her own lavender–chamomile–sandalwood spray to help me relax. It’s small gestures like these that make a place truly special.
Though my stay was brief, the memory of the kindness I encountered here has remained vivid even two months later. I genuinely hope to return for a longer visit and experience that same warmth again.
To all the wonderful staff: thank you for making my stay so special.
Khap khun krap 🙏💕

The space felt dismal rather than relaxing so much so we dreaded going back to the property and roamed the streets like we were homeless till it was not possible anymore.
Breakfast was equally underwhelming. The staff seemed to lack energy or initiative while they are nice and sweet not one asked about our day or asked our names or remembered an order, something that did not happen at the Maladee. Several items were unavailable on our last morning the one dish we looked forward to being an avocado salad we were informed avocados was unavailable. For a property that charged me $450 a night I would expect avocados are not a difficult purchase. The couple next to us sent a dish back to the kitchen a few times in the end just giving up. The platter that items were served on at the buffet has a bucket under it to catch water and the toaster for a 5 star property was the saddest thing I have ever seen (photos provided). I was pouring some milk and spilt a small amount on the counter, the staff watched me clean it rather than assist and then went to check if it was clean after I had walked away.
I travel a lot and stay in various properties all being 5 star properties, this was booked based on it ratings and reviews but I’m not sure who is rating this place as it is nowhere near a 5 star property while it charges 5 star prices. I would love to get my money back but alas it was not possible.
We should have stayed at the previous property that was incredible in every way and gotten transport. This experience fell far below expectations.
Unfortunately, I would not book this place again nor would I recommend it. I understand that some reviews are based on staff but I have yet to meet anyone in Thailand that doesn’t have a smile on their face or isn’t willing to assist you. Do yourself a favor and book a different place
The service was exceptional. Only con is the walls are paper-thin.
This is however, what I would call a 5 star hotel.
A big shout out to the Front Desk staff (Bam, Trang & Kwan) who always served with a smile and attentive to our needs. Best thing is we could use WhatsApp to communicate and send our requests and they would respond promptly.
Thumbs up to our driver Tony who did the airport transfers for us and also the day trip to Doi Suthep. His driving skills are excellent and ensured our safety throughout.
Do try out their breakfast at The Vorra as well, its delicious. The F&B staff (Liew, Noch, Mali, Flim & Jimmy) who attended to us during meals were also very professional and friendly.
It was a truly memorable and enjoyable stay!
Kudos to the whole team, cheers!
Beds were so comfortable! Lots of pillow options. The room was spacious and has a lot extra special touches eg good size fridge, plenty of water, plenty of drawers, block out blinds. Gym was good size. Didn't get to use the pool but looked great. Best massage. Very attentive, good pleasure and staff very good at what they do. Breakfast was delicious and pretty extensive. This is a god location in old town. Loved the snack happy hour in the afternoon. You've got to try the sparkling wine they have for snack hour.
