Shane Hotel Chiangmai in Chiang Mai City

While a bit dated, the hotel generally offers good value for money. My unpleasant experience happened during checkout when the front desk staff went to inspect the room and then came back holding a white bedsheet, claiming it had brown stains. I immediately replayed everything in my mind, certain there was no way such fresh stains could have appeared. I hadn't worn makeup or been on my period during my stay, so the stain was really odd and looked suspiciously new, as if freshly made. After I logically explained my side, the staff member turned to the sink, scrubbed it, and then showed it to me again. The stain had completely vanished! (Otherwise, they might have deducted from my 1000 yuan deposit.) Subsequently, the full deposit was returned. This checkout experience felt quite awkward, even infuriating. If it had genuinely been my fault, I wouldn't have hesitated to let them deduct whatever amount was necessary. However, I kept thinking there was zero chance I could have caused those stains. I hope we can all be a bit more sincere. I also hope the hotel improves its service management. I sincerely wish the hotel all the best!

It was an average hotel

Decent location, easy to get too. Hotel ground is decent for the price. However it's close to the airport and the room are not sound proof, can here planes taking off into the night and sounds from other rooms. But Comparing to other places it's quite cheap.
