Star Hotel Chiang Mai in Chiang Mai City

⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommended!
The hotel’s location is very convenient — close to night market, shops, restaurants, and transportation. Breakfast was delicious, and the dining area was clean and well organized ⭐

Stayed before. Last time I was in the main block where the swimming pool was and had a good stay with only a couple of disappointments. I also had a twin room deluxe.
This time I booked a double room.
I thought it was a deluxe but was told a standard room.
This room was in another tower above where the breakfast restaurant is.
My room was on the 7th floor The first thing I noticed was a lot of stains on the carpet in the corridor and damaged on the walls probably due to trolleys.
The room was in very poor condition really. The curtains were damaged and not hanging straight. The double bed was two singles pushed together not usually a problem but they were using the bedding from the two singles, sheets tied together at the corners and some really quite old blankets. The moment I got into bed it all came apart and ended up on the floor.
The old air con had an on/off switch near the door so I needed to get up and turn it off when cold , the temperature gauge didn't work just cold and off. So I had to get up again if I was too hot.
The telephone was broken so I couldn't call reception to report anything so mentioned the problem when going out.
No hot water in the morning. I rose early but couldn't get a hot shower until after lunch. For three days.
The staff were friendly and the location was good in terms of area but outside the hotel was really quite drab.

The food was amazing and the room was very clean.

Good for the price to stay here.
Convenient stores and night market are nearby.

We had been staying in Star Hotel from 24Dec 01 Jan,we appreciated the counter staff v helpful professional service always smiling.Hotel location very near night market n big C supermarket just behind 5 mins walking distance.The breakfast serving thai n western delicious foods . Thumb up 👍 Star Hotel we will booking tis Hotel again when coming to Chiangmai again,Happy New Year 2026.

The pool is clean, breakfast is plentiful, and the hotel is hygienic. The room rates are cheap. If you turn right when you exit the hotel, you'll find a mall just a 5-minute walk away. The entire second floor of the mall is dedicated to restaurants, and there's also a massage place where you can get an hour-long massage for just 45 RMB – it's incredibly refreshing! I highly recommend this hotel!

I am very happy to stay here for three nights. starting from the friendly receptionist, the rooms are modern and complete with amenities, breakfast is also delicious, the location is 8 minutes walk to the night bazaar and very helpful staffs. Staying here is very comfortable and quiet. i would like to stay here for my next visit to CNX.

Very clean and spacious room! Comes with decent breakfast and it was different food in my two nights stay! Staff is very friendly! And the location is very close to night bazaar, bars, massage places, 7-11 and many more! Just the shower water pressure can be tuned up stronger and the shampoo/soap they serve can be more "condensed" instead of too watery.
