Chiang Roi 7 Days Inn in Chiang Mai City

We really enjoyed our stay at Chang Roy Inn and would definitely book it again.




The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They supported us several times with communication issues and helped us organize tours, which made our stay much easier. Housekeeping was excellent: our room was cleaned daily, we received fresh towels, and new shampoo, shower gel, and water every day.




The location is very good and convenient, and for the price, the hotel offers great value for money.




A few small downsides: the rooms are a bit noisy, the windows cannot be opened which can make the room feel stuffy, and the TV is quite old. However, these are minor points.




Overall, we were very satisfied and would highly recommend this hotel.

Arrived half an hour late due to a flight delay, but the hotel front desk was staffed the entire time, which was excellent and thoughtful. Having Chinese-speaking staff was my primary reason for choosing this hotel. It's located right next to the old city, with a 7-Eleven nearby, making everything convenient. I went out in the middle of the night to buy a SIM card, and the staff kindly helped me by telling me where the 7-Eleven was.

Although the room had a window, it faced a staircase and another wall, so ventilation was poor, and it felt a bit stuffy. During the day, I had to open the window to the staircase, the room window, and the room door to get some airflow.

Overall, the hotel is a bit old. It's fine for a short transitional stay if you're new to the area, but for a stay of a week or more, it really depends on personal preference.

Facilities: A bit old, it's more like a budget hotel.
Hygiene: Decent, good value for the price.
Environment: Alright, the room is tiny, only suitable for one person. There's a massage parlor nearby and a 7-Eleven, and it's close to the Old City so it's convenient for food. It's good value for money, but there's absolutely no soundproofing, which is common for most hotels in Southeast Asia.
Service: Okay.

Decent hotel, close to all city sights. The room was clean. The only thing is absence of refrigerator in the room.

Nice hotel with all main amenities, they helped me with washing clothes for a decent price (60 baht per kg), a bit far from old city centre.

The check in was quick and friendly. The hotel and room conditions were outdated and shabby. The Air Conditioning was good and the Wifi was OK.
The road noise was abysmal. Overpriced for what I got for my money.

The near by bakery is very good :)

We arrived quite late in Chiang Mai on our first day, so we booked this hotel. It turned out to be clean and comfortable, which really helped us settle in for a few days. Everyone thought it was conveniently located for exploring the Old City. We might even consider staying here again in the future.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the West Gate of the old city, making it very close to Wat Phra Singh and the Sunday Night Market. Some of the staff can speak Chinese, and there are many restaurants nearby. However, cleanliness needs improvement, as there were several cockroaches in the room.

4.5/5 Good location. Had some food places nearby. Calm and quiet area. The owner and staff are wonderful people. They also gave us free breakfast because of the festival happening that weekend. Overall, satisfied with what we paid for.
