Reviews
I had a very disappointing stay. The area feels unsafe, surrounded by auto repair shops, and the hotel relies on a non-refundable policy that they use to avoid accountability. The A/C didn’t work during a 33C heatwave, and they refused to refund me after I had to leave.
The room was dirty—unclean carpets, used towels, and unchanged sheets. Staff were rude and unhelpful. One even refused to check the room when I pointed out the issues.
I was wrongly charged 1350 TRY for a stained sheet without any evidence. Worse, my expensive watch went missing from my room, and reception said it wasn’t their responsibility. Most good reviews seem fake—definitely not my experience.
Save yourself the stress—book somewhere else. Don’t believe positive reviews!
Breakfast was very basic, and the breakfast area was quite small.
The hotel didn’t provide even the essentials like toothpaste, a toothbrush, or hand soap.
Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel.
I regret booking this hotel. The room was dirty, the sheets were stained, and the bathroom smelled bad. The pictures online are completely misleading – the room was small, poorly maintained, and nothing like what was advertised.
The staff were rude and unhelpful when I asked for clean towels, and even tried to charge extra for basic things like changing bed sheets.
Also, the location is on a steep hill, not easy to access with luggage or if you’re walking. Noise from other rooms made it hard to sleep too.
Definitely not worth the money. I won’t be staying here
I stayed at Hubi Hotel in Istanbul in August 2025 with my family and had an extremely distressing experience that I feel other travelers should be aware of.
Shortly after checking in during the early hours of the morning, a staff member knocked loudly on our room door and demanded that my guest (a family member visiting briefly before checking into another hotel) leave immediately. I complied and went to the reception to speak with the staff.
What followed was an aggressive confrontation where I felt physically threatened. At one point, the staff member picked up a large, heavy round object in a threatening manner. I’ve attached a photo taken during the incident that shows this moment. I was genuinely afraid for my safety.
We contacted local authorities, but the situation became even more confusing and distressing. We were asked to hand over our passports, sign documents in a language we didn’t understand, and delete video recordings from our phones. By 5 AM, we were asked to leave the property. The entire experience left us deeply shaken.
Apart from the safety concerns, the hotel itself was not clean, the staff were extremely unfriendly, and the surrounding area felt unsafe, especially at night.
While I understand that others may have had different experiences, I’m sharing this review to help future guests make informed decisions. I sincerely hope that more attention is paid to guest safety and respectful conduct going forward.
If you're considering staying here, I recommend looking into multiple reviews from different sources. Our experience was highly negative, and I would not return.
Photos are attached to show part of the incident described.
The cleanliness of the room was very poor. There was dust everywhere, the bathroom smelled bad, and the towels looked worn out and not properly washed. The sheets didn’t feel fresh either, which made me very uncomfortable.
The staff were unhelpful and borderline rude. Whenever I asked for assistance, they seemed annoyed and uninterested. Communication was also difficult, and there was no effort to make me feel welcome as a guest.
The location was inconvenient and felt unsafe, especially at night. It’s far from major attractions, and getting around was a hassle.
On top of that, the noise levels were unbearable. I could hear other guests talking loudly and doors slamming throughout the night, making it impossible to get a good rest.
They left my luggage downstairs for over 30 minutes, even though I had already been checked into the upgraded room. Despite the check-in being completed, they still didn’t deliver my luggage. This led to an argument, and the staff became angry and decided to check me out that very same day—without any valid reason—and refused to let me stay.
This level of service is extremely unprofessional. A guest’s belongings are valuable and should be treated with care. If you were not going to allow me to stay in the upgraded room, then why let me check in at all but refuse to deliver my luggage?
There was no concern for the safety of my belongings. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Completely unacceptable.
